    He’s absolutely correct. My car was stolen a few months ago but a 14 and 12 year old. They were apprehended 2 hours later. They were kicking the police officers and kicking the doors of the police cars and driven away to the station. They were picked up by their parents 2 hours later and stole my car again the next day at 10am. On a school day as well. They are trying to keep these kids out of the system but they are not concerned with the wake of victims behind them as well as these kids are escalating quickly.

    I freaking love this sheriff. If we all held people accountable to the harshest letter of the law problems wouldn't be as harsh. Children/teens/young adults/adults are committing more crimes than 40/50/60 years ago because parents didn't make excuses and the community raised a child. Today parents constantly make excuses for every single thing their children do and question anyone who dares pull their children up for their actions.

    The times I feel the biggest gut-punch missing my late mother (she had a wonderful life of 85 years, so no comparison to these horrific murders and the enduring pain they will cause) are not her birthday, wedding anniversary, Christmas etc. but the simple daily events--meeting a cute new breed I’d never before seen while walking our dog, seeing an adorable video of kids at a spelling bee-when I think to call and share with her then remember, I can’t.
    I just know Camille’s sister will be doing her own hair, will look in the mirror, not see Camille’s reflection, and feel crushed. Peace and strength to all the loved ones of these babies. So sad.

Yes, be passionate about your job and your community, be caring, sensitive to the victims and their families and be the strength your community needs to find justice for the victims. What this guy did was unprofessional, reactive in a very negative way that doesn’t serve this case at all. Speaking negatively, name calling and cussing at reporters and journalist that are only trying to do their job reporting on this case (like Annie, who I very much enjoy) is rude, uncalled for and childish. Be better, do better. This behavior is not to be praised, you can be a strong leader without the aggressive, rude behavior. As someone who makes videos about crimes committed on victims I don’t know how you can see this was one of the better press conferences. This was not only an unprofessional press conference it was one fueled by personal and political motivations, completely disrespectful to the families of the victims. There is a time and a place to announce your candidacy, but not when seeking justice. He should have stuck to the facts and not done anything to potentially jeopardize the prosecutor’s case. Hopefully his behavior will not be used in favor of these suspects.

      These crimes are personal & should accompany personal outrage. Everything he stated regardless of his personal views was factual. Our society has become so used to this type of crime that we have little to no reaction when severe reaction is absolutely warranted and quite honestly needed. Everyone should be as outraged as this Sheriff.

    • @TheBullishWriter
      @TheBullishWriter Год назад +3

      @@NatashiaB77 Everyone IS outraged, but for someone in his position he should be showing more composure in announcing the facts of this case. This is why people question whether police officers are fit to be carrying guns in the first place because it’s this type of emotional outburst that make their actions on duty, questionable. Perhaps they’re not emotionally fit to make justified decisions if they’re unable to control their emotions? Who knows, but I’d say this would make for a great example. And if this is the type of example superiors are setting for younger cadets I can see now why there may be an ongoing issue within the force.
      Again, a press conference is meant to inform the public, not state your political views or take out your frustration on the media. Leave that for your soap box when running for whatever political position you want to run for.

    I'm with the sheriff wholeheartedly on this one. Accountability for ALL of these children/teens. As parents, we cannot be with or watch our children 24/7 and there are times when despite us teaching them, talking to them, showing examples of how bad things can get they will still choose to go their own way and when they do we have to let societal consequences be the outcome. This is VERY unfortunate for all of them, but those boys need to be held accountable just the same and those parents of the children who were killed are also going to have to come to terms with the fact that for whatever reason, Their children were fine with running with that type of crowd.
