Sweet , pimp my ride . I’m glad you brought up the oar rights, I just want to slap people when they go oh you use oar rights , like there training wheels . There made to use them just like you described to keep the boat on line when anchored . I’ve never floated the Yakima but live on the Madison and it’s a river that’s always moving fast and these come in very handy when your anchored and keep the boat from doing the wobble dance . Thanks for sharing and enjoy your new ride
I use the Convertible Version off the Oar Rights so I can flip them up on the Tighter East Coast Rivers. I like the idea of having a Stubby Version. How much did you cut off? How long from the Collar to the end? Thanks for your help. John.
Oh my choice, Clack gives me a deal I can't refuse. Rather than drive it to Clackamas and hand it over for a week for gel coat/epoxy work, it's easier for me to trade. I keep my trailer, swap them boats for a reasonable fee. Just keeps things fresh, never worn one out (nor have I seen anyone).
Cobra locks buddy, they are perfect for the Smokers. One of my guide buddies actually bent these in to make them capture these narrow shafts and it's a sweet setup. Really good powerstroke with these.
I’ve seen those, they look cool. We do so much crabbing here holding a line that I’m not sure how that would work but would love to try a set sometime.
I've looked at those, interesting idea. I don't use Oar Rights for alignment, only for anchoring. Not sure if that was the nature of your suggestion but wanted to clarify. I like to be able to rotate the oar in my hand am not confident I can do this with the Gillians.

Appreciate the tip! Have a set of smokers in the mail from you guys.
Don’t forget that dude nailed backing that trailer up lol
But left his light bar on…
Thank you for the solution of the boat wobble! drives me crazy when it happens.
My oar rights (small) are a great addition to my Outcast Clearwater.

I wasn’t aware you changed boats every year, Joe. Do they not last longer than that, or is this just a choice?

Hi Joe, What brand of oar locks do you have? I have an old Lavro boat and like those would be better for my sloped gunwale.

Thoughts on Gilman grips?

I can do the crab stroke easily with my Gilman Grips. The top of the grips are rounded and work fine e for crabbing
Why not just get Gillian grips?
