One hundred years ago, on the 10th January 1918 the House of Lords gave approval for women over the age of thirty to have the right to vote. The historical political decision was passed under the Representation of the People Act. However it would not be until 1928, a decade later, that another law would be passed allowing women over the age of twenty one to vote, in accordance with male voting rights.
Thanks for everything you did and helping all of of the students including me I thought I would not pass this exam but u showed me and u helped me and I really appreciate all the hard work.
Thanks bro Rahil. I would like to add that during famine, Turkey ( then the Ottoman Empire ) sent a ship with full of wheat to save Irish from starving.
Wow. Thank you for telling me that. I have learned now what happened and will remember to tell others in the class. Thank you kindly for teaching us the correct information.
Yes, that is correct. In the United Kingdom, the Representation of the People Act 1918 extended the right to vote to women over the age of 30 who met certain property qualifications. The Equal Franchise Act of 1928 lowered the voting age for women to 21, equalizing it with that of men.
Mr Rahil Ghazni, you are truly an inspiration. When I first read the life in the uk book, it was information overload, overwhelming and just frustrating overall to try and grasp everything and remember it all for the exam, especially not lnowing which quiestions will come on the test but once I came across your videos, that was it for me, your style of teaching is unmathched. I watched all of ur lessons, a few times over as well and I passed with flying colours. Thank youuuuuuu for taking the time, I had a few laughs as well throughout. It was fun😂. Continue to keep up the good work. Thanks amil.
Thank you Debbz, we are always happy to help you and support you. We wish you the most success in your future as a British citizen! Help others the same way we have helped you. Well done again for passing you are a success because of your hard work!

Hello! Respect for all that job, you and your team! I see that the lessons are from 2021. Are there any current issues for the Life in the UK 2022 test?
Hello Victoria, thank you for watching. Nothing has changed this year so far except I am being told by my students a lot of history questions are coming up on the test.
You are correct that gold was a significant factor in the causes of the Boer War. The discovery of gold in the Transvaal region of South Africa in 1886 led to an influx of prospectors, many of whom were British, which caused tension between the British and the Boers (Dutch settlers) who controlled the region. The British government also sought to control the gold mines in order to maintain their power in the region. The war began in 1899 and lasted until 1902, with the British ultimately victorious.

Yes, I just noticed that. I got the two mixed up. IRA = Irish Republic Army and the RAF = Royal Air Force. It was the IRA that were bombing places in Ireland during 'The Troubles' (1960s-1998) in which the Irish government was suspended and the British army was sent in. Thank you for messaging Paulo.
