Thanks Tom for the great video. Bought the camera from Amazon and was about to send it back because I could not get it to connect to my phone. The "no internet connection" message was throwing me off and I was not opening the app afterward to see if the camera was actually connected. I am glad to come across your video. Thanks again.
Glad you worked it out in the end lol. I was the same with mine, English instructions but still in Chinese lol, I am sure you know by now that the small end you put on first is the end which makes the Len’s waterproof, so sadly I can’t find a way to make it waterproof and use the other ends at the same time, but as you say cheap as chips. All the best from the uk
@@TomLeemanright..but there is no need for an app to connect to your phone because it’s using a wireless signal…this is the same as a dash cam…no need to use an app to connect to phone.
I had to download the app and then I could see the video in the app on the other one that I purchased which I have a video on all I had to do is plug it in and hit OK this one’s different yet to connect it to the Wi-Fi networkwhich is it and then your uncle
Did you read the user agreement of that app? They can now make recordings of you and store them. They now see what websites you use, your location, device information and any other apps you use. They are allowed to collect information about you from social media and any other website. This they share with affiliate parties
When you see a message saying you don't have an Internet connection, it means your device isn't connected to the Internet. Imagine your home Wi-Fi like a bridge that lets your phone access the Internet. But when you connect to the camera, it's like being on a private island with no bridge to the Internet. The camera creates its own little Wi-Fi zone, but it doesn't connect to the Internet, so you might get that message.

Thanks for the tips!
Why would it need an app if it's wireless?
Because it’s gotta connect to your phone
