That was a great question by the journalist. And very mature and understanding answers by both. So happy they didn't put anyone down for asking it.
Lu Zijian the martal artist he is talkig about. He was doing martial arts even at the age of 118 years old. He was born in 1893 and died in 2012. There are many videos of his on youtube performing at the age of 118.

And perfect answer. Hero is something who does which audience wouldnt do. And moreover the hero here is a master in a martial art. Do we ask same question why hero can fight 10 goons? We assume hero has some extra capabilities and skills to win over villains. That is established in these kinda movies. At the end of the day it's a fictional work. Just take away lessons like how not to bribe or what coikd be potential solution. That's the take away audience should take from movie

For those commenting negatively about the old age: you can see old age men in tamilnadu doing varma and yogic practice videos in youtube . And come to TN we will show ,most of the villages still in the practice of it. For example:
You can goto Nagamalai Pudukkottai from Madurai district and you can see all the old texts written in tamil by ancient siddhars and still they are practicing it. Don't blabber anything by not knowing

I have been trained in workshops by old Okinawan masters touching 80. Shankar saying here is bullshit. At old age, what they have is wisdom and clarity in techniques. Their speed and reflexes will be really slow. They know their limits and never engage in competitive fighting, simply body won't move as mind wants. He is just satisfying his ego..

Shankar is good to make big budget movies.. successful but to make sense out of those movies are rare ..its surreal subjects, which is fine but in 2024 making Kamal fly is tough to chew . When Kamal flew in Indian 1 people digested it but now , I am not sure ..superman, supernatural concept in india is still an area to grow.some directors choose comedy as a short cut ..but a serious well crafted superman movie in india is yet to be seen. And it's not going to be Indian 2 ..for sure
