OH!!! In case anyone is confused as to what the point of putting the stuff in the dispenser was:
This exploit (ledge falling+throw) can ONLY be used with one of the item in your inventory. So, normally, you'd have to use up the new duped items before you could copy that particular item again- for example, apples.
BUT, by storing them in the dispenser, you can 1) store the 5 extra so that you have 1 in your onventory and can do the dupe again, AND bypasses the limit of 21 on the floor.
TL;DR dispenser doesnt give you more than what you put in; it lets you do this particular dupe method as long as you like without having to use up the extra items first

Thank you that makes more sense. Odd that even after you pick up the dupes the game still thinks they're on the ground. You'd think once they're in your inventory they'd all be fungible - just a number in a table somewhere.
Oh wait I relistened and heard him say the dupe only works if you only have 1 left in your inventory. So you can't just pick them up and repeat. Makes.more sense now.
Honestly, the duplication glitch at 1:30 is way more useful than the Zonai device dispenser potion. The various monster parts (high level Lynel horns, the various Lizal tails, etc.) have absurdly low drop rates, the dragons are impossible to farm efficiently, and the number of materials (and rupees) needed to upgrade armor is completely unreasonable.
Yeah but you can only do it when you have one item in your inventory, and the limit for items on the ground it 21 before it starts dissolving, so if you want more then 21 of that item, you gotta use the zonite dispenser
@@Tomanananana But you never need 22 or more of those items. However, there's a more important problem: All the rarest stuff (Electric Lizal Tails, dragon parts) actually can't be duped AT ALL because you can't throw it without it exploding.
@@grafzeppelin4069 There actually is a way to dupe elemental stuff! If you throw it up instead of forward, you have time to use recall on it. Then you can grab it out of the air safely. It can be tricky but once you get the hang of it it'll work almost every time.
@@grimwolf1182 Thanks, I'll try it for the Lizal tails, but I'm not good with rapid inputs, so I'll probably just end up grinding (or not bothering with leveling up the armor).
@@grafzeppelin4069 If you do this in a low gravity area it’s way easier to do this trick since things move a lot slower.
Hell yeah!! That simplified this other one that involved jumping onto a horse. The diamonds kept hitting the horse so it didn't go well at all. Thank you for this. Now i can duplicate anywhere. For regular zonai yes. For large zonite this is waaay faster
You actually do not need autobuild, a way to have an above 21 items dupe is to go to the nachoyah shrine, then go to the zonai dispenser somewhere below. You should be able to find two planks of wood that you can connect with ultrahand bypassing the need for autobuild. Then do the casual steps and you can dupe items for free! (Please like this so everyone sees it)

@wecancausejesus-1448 you're right as long as there is a place you can fall close to a zonai dispenser you can dupe I was trying to find a way to not use autobuild because I haven't unlocked it yet
For the first dup method, I found easier to never release the R as you drop and press X while still holding R. Then once you see the item duplicated behind you, simply throw the one in your current hand or else it will disappear. It makes it easier.
If you are duping items keep holding R and throw afterwards will work, BUT for zonai capsules you have to throw before hit ground so easiest to release R during d-pad-up press (try it and you'll see why)

Every time I try going to the the edge, dropping down and pressing up it says “You can’t take that item out here”
@@mobisnest3205 thats because link is NOT in the air or there is something blocking, something too close to you. You can move the camera looking down to be sure how far from it you are.
The miracle duping glitch that's elusive to everyone is the one that's not as tedious as the base game already is.
No one would really say that about this if not for the context of having had inventory-sort-dupe spitting out 20 items in under 10 seconds, I don't think. This genuinely isn't all that tedious. If you find it to be so, I would recommend you write down some things you need to dupe, and avoid spending your "play" time on duping.
Wait til TV time; this dupe is low attention enough that I would just do it when I'm doing something that isn't the game. Anytime you have to stop your mind's goal and do stuff, it's gonna feel tedious and distracting. It's getting to the door of the dungeon and then being sent on a faraway fetch quest, so I understand the frustration.
The efficient dupe isn't elusive to everyone, we just have already had it. Don't be grumpy if things have more steps after 3 patches, all of which squashed previous dupes.
What version are you playing on?
@@SillySpaceMonkeythe extra steps ain't the problem the problem is that this takes as much time as just farming in the first place and some stuff u might be duping will be actually faster to farm that's the problem becuz jt makes it no reason to dupe anyway if it's just as slow and tedious as farming
The one where you walk of a ledge at lookout landing is useless to me, I need to dupe dragon parts and they explode when you throw it
@blackninj11269 I really hope that's severely hyperbolic... if you're genuinely trying to argue that farming is faster than literally sticking two boards together (or finding literally any ledge you can walk off of that's more than 2ft high) and running in a circle drop throwing, you are either the fastest farmer or the slowest duper in the world. I don't mean that as a tick against you, but rather I imagine you were exaggerating a bit. I got my rhythm down and it takes like 8 seconds per item generated, and you definitely could go faster than that...
I don't even really need this dupe, cus I won't update unless it's for DLC... I have faster methods to dupe with, and yet this was the most convenient one to use when I found myself down to two molduga jaws; rather than teleport/setup chasm etc, I spent literally 45 seconds and throw duped for fusing. Please show me you doing that farming. I'll still go make another 30-50 in the depths, later, but that genuinely *does* take more setup than throw duping.
@Hermatroid-yt2gs so... you can duplicate items that explode on contact, but it's a bit more of a headache - possibly literally - cus it involves looking at a lot more sky. If you throw an item up, you can be low enough that the dropped one will not explode, and then you have to toggle recall before it hits the ground, and return the thing you threw and grab it.
At least it isn't an item you need more than 10-20 of onhand, eh? 😅
Works great! I found it better to make the platform differently so that you could fall off more easily. For some reason my build following your vid didn’t allow me to fall off while in a throwing position. However, I realized you can just use the port to go above the forge and fall off that stone ledge, and do the dupe there, in the same location that you purchase the crystallized charges.
Which forge is it? I ask cause this platform doesn’t work great with larger items. I’m love to see where! If I just need 21 I go to lookout landing mini-stable roof, that works great
@OneAverageDan Thats interesting because it worked for all items for me. Maybe its because I placed the platform on the lights giving it extra height.

if you go to the dispensor at the beginning island .. it has building materials so you dont have to use autobuild
YO YO! For those of you trying to dupe items that explode or disappear when thrown! Throw the item then use the REVERSE ability on it before it hits the ground. This will CANCEL the "throw" momemtum & the item will just drop. You don't even have to let the item return to you. Just catch it with 'RECALL' & release quickly.

Try the platform near shallow water
For star pieces I recommend you use the tobios hollow chasm dupe, the stars won't shatter if done correctly
I'm actually still on 1.1.2, and I still use the bow dupe
I think this is useful for things like great fairys materials to upgrade armor, for simple uses the 21 limit works fine for any other thing
Yes, sooo good for armor upgrades, you could even dupe right in front of the fairies location
For fuse materials too, those sweet silver lyonel drops ain't easy to obtain you know, you get only one per lyonel which means a lot of quite intense figths to get those precious fuse materials, also diamonds, 20 diamonds fetch a value of 10,000 rupees, nothing to scoff at and finally the special ingredients to cook the foods that replenish your health fully plus a lot of golden extra hearts, those are rare enough that even 21 items are extremely valuable.
Common materials, yeah you are right, 21 are not much, but rare and valuable ones are worth duping even if you only get 21.

Yo. Just saw your vid never tried any dupe glitch until now. And I wanna say that instead of wasting zonite for auto building the ramp head to Hudson construction where there's a dispenser and use the rocks there it works just as well for duping the 21 item limit plus there's fans there for one to use with out wasting your own and boom your in business

I'm always amazed by how quickly new dupe glitches are found for each time previous methods get patched. Though I have the benefit of playing with a physical copy, so if I want to dupe, I can just reset my switch and turn auto updates off to play in 1.0.0 for the inventory sort dupe
Does resetting the switch also delete the saved data even if you upload the save data to the cloud?

To anybody that got the fan stuck too deep in: remove the fan in the front from the one in the back then take out a rocket and make sure the sharp part is facing you then activate it.. it should drag out the fan then you’re good to go

you can also just spawn in other zonai devices and the fans will disapear but this is better since you dont have to waste devices

Hey just trying your dupe after my switch managed to upgrade from 1.0.0 to 1.2.0 behind my back. I was so pissed off about losing the dupe I contemplated transfering my accounts and factory resetting my switch to get back to 1.0.0. thankfully this isn't too much more complicated (even if I can't dupe volatile materials anymore), and wearing the hylian hood is an excellent indicator of when you have walked off the plank lol

The second dupe glitch bumped up my 2 diamonds to 147. This was so useful

@@Ace-nu7xb You dupe them with the first part of the video shown, the second method is just to let you go past the normal limit of 21. Putting them in the dispenser itself doesn't duplicate anything, it just 'stores' the items while you keep duping past the normal limit of 21
Question. Couldn’t you just pick up each piece of zonaite you duped instead of having to store it in the dispenser? You said it despawns when there is 21 but is that just when it’s out like on the ground? Not in your pocket?
i believe it only works when you have one item in your inventory. the only way to gain more than 21 would be to store it in the zonai dispenser

That's correct. I think it has to do with that slot of your inventory being cleared. When you pull out the last of something, open the menu, but hold R instead of releasing during the menu, it doesn't work. The falling animation doesn't stop you from dropping, but normal hold and jump hold does, so I assume being able to drop things with a thrown item held was just an oversight when they were applying true/false stuff on can/can't do for each animation state.
When you release the throw in the up menu before dropping, it is essentially 0frame inputting that you will throw the item, so when you drop it (I think this occurs one frame after the menu closes, but it would be very hard to test because dropping closes the menu and resumes the worldstate) *and* that slot of your inventory gets cleared, I think what happens is the game is already accepting the held item in the hand being thrown, and the dropped one as dropped, so when it inventory checks for the throw, there isn't a slot to put it back into.

I'm glad I haven't patched. I've always had auto updates turned off on my Switch so I'm still playing on the original version that was released May 12th. My paraglider y+b glitch still works and I'm glad for that because as of yet I haven't found any glitch as easy to do as that one on any of these new updates. I don't think there will ever be. Until there is, I won't be updating my TotK any time soon.
I thought I had turned my auto-updates off cuz the game kept asking if I wanted to update upon boot up and I kept saying no, but last night I noticed it had somehow updated while I played another game. Fuming

Ok I just did this, first try, worked great. ONLY Issue I had is when getting off the duping platform Link would get stuck sometimes, he mentions this in the video I did the platform as instructed, rebuilt it 3 times, etc. THE FIX: Just don't drop off the end, drop from one of the two sides. This way it always works and it's easier to know when to press up because because you can see better link's position and you don't have to keep adjusting the camera angle before dropping off. I would do 3 form one side then 2 on the other to make it easy to count and got good at doing it super fast.
This is really cool and I just tried it today. I had a small mishap. I already had a bunch of diamond in the dispenser and then suddenly my fans dislodged. I never spammed a button so hard In my life.
This glitch is nice. Useful for obtaining rare items that can't be easily found like diamonds. I just used this method to get like 100 diamond lmao, Thanks
After my many years of playing, I never liked glitching cause I thought it was cheating. But stuff is hard to get in ToTK so I tried this out and I got it first try, takes time but worth it! Its my first time glitching and I suggest it to haven't tried it yet. 👍👌

I had to go to ladder just to the right and climb up to wooden platforms so I had more fall time. That extra time allowed me to get ready while the drop menu was open when falling because I wasn't pushing right button throw quick enought after hitting x drop button. Now I can do it three out five times.
Whats about fairy/bomb/ruby? when you throw them, they explode.
I tried dragon parts, because I need to upgrade armor, and they explode, very annoying
Throw it upwards then use recall, it's tedious but should work

For eveyone i recommend this glitch, also you dont have to let go of the R trigger before u press x, but you still DO have to throw it and everything, also its 100% easier to do this on the side of the ramp then the end while walking sideways

So, is there a way to use this duplication method on items that explode when you throw them? It seems this method only works if the item you’re throwing stays intact and doesn’t explode.
And, after many days of duping, I discovered that the best place to dup is at your home, if you’ve built it, porting up one level to the roof of one unit. You can fall off easily while in a throwing position.
The paraglider glitch is much more time efficient but that gatcha glitch is great if you want more than 21
What about the Large Zonai charges? Surely regular and large ones can only dispense many Zonai devices from the dispenser, but what if you want to dupe like 100s of those charges?
One thing I noticed is you dont have to press X and release R at the same time, as long as you throw the held item after dupping it youll get the same results
It's easier if you release R when you ear the drop sound, so like half a second after x or so

We really should stop hunting for glitches until the new DLCs come out, that way we can still dupe with ease and have new content
I’ll take it even further. I would pay good money for a dlc character editor. I am now two updates behind because I still use the original dup glitch. After spending 4 hours finding and riding dragons to get one of each part off each of them….you best believe I duped the bejabbers out of those suckers.

Is this glitch more efficient than the glitch already patched where you just had to press Y and B at the same time in the inventory? I'm still on patch version 1.1.1. so I don't know what glitch I should use for duplicating.
I am going to be trying this method as everything is patched. I have sort of newbie question and a little confused on the starting number. I currently have 52 of the item I want to duplicate. Before fast traveling to the dispenser, do I have to drop 51 of the items and keep only 1? I want to try it with splash fruit as I keep running out fighting all the sludge in the final boss battle in Zora.
So, for anyone wondering about blood moons. I learned through an absolute panic of about 114 Amber's in the gumball machine...the blood moon does NOT reset your items.
I quickly took the fans out and started mashing A as fast as I could, but the blood moon came as they were pouring our and when the blood moon cut seen ended/was skipped, the ambers continued to pour out.
So, may my panic attack be a breath of relief for the rest of you.

Im lost on The despenser dupe, you duped 126 with the ramp and put them in the despencer then you pulled the fan out and you got 118 back. Am i being punked or am i missing something lol

Only reason you need to start from 1, is because it'll register that you have 0 left but you end up with two items. If you have more than 1 item you'll just throw it normally
Do you know if there's any way to duplicate gibdo bones they're just amazingly powerful with bone weapon proficiency and I'm having trouble farming gibdos because I have already completed the quest in the Gerudo desert
Maybe my update got rid of it, but when I hold an item and then press “R” to throw it, it has nothing for Link to throw. So when I’m holding the Diamond but press “R” to throw it, it doesn’t allow me to. Link has nothing in his hand. Am I doing something incorrectly??? And I tried it while holding other items.
In my findings, you don't even have to throw it. Or at the very least the window is wide enough to where you don't have to drop release r right away after dropping. Pretty neat that it works. I always end up late to the party with glitches and things. Shout outs for the vid
Edit* after testing, you can hold on to the item and not throw it and just run up and do it again but I ended losing an item so would not recommend trying to short cut that part
Well at least it works so for items with throw effects since it consumes when you throw it it's still a good way to duplicate it

You can store them in the dispenser then continue duping and storing the duped ones in the dispenser before picking them all up

Can you please explain something for me? You put 120 large zonite charges in the machine. And when they came out, you collected 118. How did the zonite charges duplicate. I'll watch it again.
Small tip: go to the water temple or really any place that has low gravity and attach a glider to some other sonai piece then you can walk off the edge of the wing and it will be faster and easier:) good luck yall

I only did the diamond dup to buy sheik’s armor and stored some rupees for future amor upgrades 😌🤪
This worked great for me. I needed Lynel guts to upgrade the Soldiers armor. It didn’t work great on the Lynel horns though. I did the same thing but from a stone ledge in lookout landing and was able to dupe Lynel horns as well. Also got a ton of diamonds

To dup zonaite, you need one and only one zonaite.
i didnt hav any of the wooden platforms to build with so i just used 3 sleds instead, it still works the same

Correct. The more Nintendo patches the harder and more tedious the glitches are going to become. Sucks but still better than nothing at least

How do I make it work with items that disappear when thrown or that the dispenser won't accept (eg. Bomb Flowers, Lizards, Dazzlefruit, Fairies)?
I don’t think it works with items that don’t stay intact when thrown. So, sapphires can’t be duplicated, but diamonds can. If you could throw the item into a material that would prevent its destruction, that would allow, but so far in my tests, there is not such a material.
This duplication method is cool and helped me a bit, but honestly it takes such a long time to continually repeat hundreds of times that it doesn't seem worth it anymore
The max amount for any item is 100, and something, and not the 999 like the Thumbnail shows, correct?

The zoni machine part of the vid don't make sense to me. If you are going to pick up the items and put them in the machine, why not just keep it in your inventory?

I figured out how to do this and shared it on sushis comments and he got snarky as fuck claiming he came up with it like hes the only intelligent being to do anything ever on totk. It was super unhumbling to read. Its cool to see others figuring things out too

why do you need Dispanser , you can collect the item then before reaching 21 continue duping them , I don't understand why dispenser

what about if its ores like sapphire? itll be kinda hard since it explodes and it freezes you
I was disappointed that it doesn’t work with items that explode when they hit the ground, but after experimenting a bit, I found a way to do it: First, make sure Rewind is selected for L. Then, when you release R, as soon as you press X, immediately press L and rewind the item you threw. It will come back to you and give you the option to press A to take the item. The timing is tricky, because once it hits the ground (or if it goes out of range), it won’t work and you’ll lose the item, but I was able to get it to work often enough that I got enough dupes to upgrade my armour.
I can't get X appear when drop of the lege while throwing hold of one item.
