Definitely going to share this one. I put lots of these into practice already, but the momento mori and negative visualization are new tools to my growing toolbox. Thank you!

"memento mori," for in contemplating mortality, we awaken to the preciousness of each fleeting moment. Harness the power of negative visualization to temper desire and cultivate gratitude, finding solace in the acceptance of life's impermanence. May these newfound tools fortify your spirit and deepen your understanding on the path to Stoic enlightenment.

TY for the reminder about the dichotomy of control. I've been worried about someone and how he's doing with the transition to his next phase of life. I have no control over his situation so my worrying is not wise. I can only watch from afar and hope that everything is going well for him, the other people in his life, and the people who can affect his welfare in a positive way. I accept that is all I will ever be able to do. I have to learn to be okay with that.
I'm not sure about the practice of negative visualization. I understand the practice, however, I have a nasty habit of making my thoughts come true. Having negative thoughts about my life will only make my life go in the wrong direction. It won't be a motivator. That's not how things work for me. I will instead continue my daily gratefulness practices. I appreciate the suggestion, but I'm going to pass on this stoic practice. 🙏
