Crobat has always been something that I don’t know why people thought was weird. They maybe villains but they they still care for their Pokémon their ideals are just to an extreme. Or even toxic friends is still a friends ship and they could evolve because of that.
AHHHH I would love more of these!! There so so many unanswered stories and mysteries in this Pokémon Universe that I think deserves a series of more, loving the content Karim! ☃️⚡️💙🧘🏼♂️🦈🌬☝🏻🔂🐐
Mirage Island is probably because of Unown. They're known to create illusions (or mirages if you will see Pokemon the 3rd Movie)/an "odd power" when together. There's theories that because they're weak individually, they create the Wynaut or Wobuffet blue part to protect itself, becoming the tail. Since there's only Wynaut on the island, it might be possible.
I only ever set foot on Mirage Island once during my hundreds of hours exploring Hoenn first in Sapphire and then in Emerald. I didn't learn how rare that was until many years later lol
Simple, aside from the obvious Cynthia connection, he's never shown to be an awful person. He's just obsessed with Giratina as some kind of way to lash out at his lack of parents. That animosity never included his Pokémon.
Whilst I commend you for your presentation, and scriptwriting.... These are really left field and have other more plausible, easier explainations. Mirage Island is stated to be a real place by an NPC, and you get a real berry from there. It is most easily explained that the Lax incense is derived from there, and that with no predators the Wynaut never evolve. They then use there mirror coat/barrier to shroud the island from those wishing to disrupt their peace. (Or someone before bred a gazillion shiny hunting and left them there lol.) Reading between the lines, either Wallace was champion first and Steven beat him, or Wallace has beaten the elite 4 but fallen to Steven. Steven is shown calling in a favour from Wallace at the end of ORAS that he would like his friend to take the title (resume likely) so he may train and study and travel more. I interpret this as a direct callback and forward (parallel) to Emerald. (Steven then studying in Meteor Falls, hanging around in caves is what he do.) I never questioned your third one, because in B2W2 she is very much a champion and cleans house enough that I respected her. She is no Cynthia, but she holds her own. Plus the protag. is also right at her age...?
I may be alone on that but... Honestly after first rather general kind of mysteries I hoped all will be either that kind of general (meaning: they are about franchise as a whole) or more anime related instead of so game focusing. But it still was kinda interesting. Especially first one.
pretty nice theories but I always point with crobat theories to the original japanese name for this evolution method - "natsuki-do" (なつき度). This translates to 'familiarity level', and is used also as synonymus for 'loyality'. However in early games it is was also sometimes shortened to natsuki (なつき) which is written in hiragana and could be translated as 'joy' (also as a 'green vegetable' or 'summer' depending on kanji you find) so the US tranlators decided that friendship/happinness will be word that will convey both this familiarity level and joy... But it also changed the understanding of the name - we consider this as evolution accouring when pokemon likes his trainer. But japanese understand that as evolving when pokemon knows his trainer well. You may know someone really well but it does not mean you are friend with him/her or that you are happy to be with them. (Hence it alternative meaning 'loyality' you may be loyal to your superrior [or commander in army terms] but does not necessarily mean you are friends. You simply follow the same path for various reasons). This bassically explains all crobat paradoxes - pokemon obey their trainer and when they know each other styles well golbat may evolve even when they do not really like each other. Take a silver as an example the rival in GSC/HGSS in all his apperances he always talks about caring solely about his pokemon increasing in strength. He is not trying to understand them, neither tries to make pokemon understand him or his goals. He pursues power for his all arc. And finally when he got change of heart, still despising weakness but opening for other possibilities than just brutally swinging at your opponents his golbat evolves - for the last battle you face him in. I doubt he suddenly become friends with his pokemon, but he started thinking something like 'maybe, just maybe I could think about how to utililize pokemon unique battle styles instead of always trying to be powerfull'.
Why would you make Dialga an antagonist? It's never shown to want to defeat or rebel against Arceus. So of all Pokemon on the list why would you pick him? But that's okay they are your theories?
Xerosic and his Crobat: ... Clemont: people who use Science for evil don't count :P The jail warden: sir you've been here for five hours trying to lecture this person on right and wrong I think you should leave.
This is interesting, but the Mirage Island theories are super far-fetched. I don't even have to explain why the Dialga one is, there is no evidence backing up your story. And the one where it's just an illusion in your mind... then why can this old man see it safely from his house ? He isn't lost, he isn't starving, he just looks through the window. Iris is the 8th Gym Leader. The strongest Gym Leader alongside Drayden. She could defeat the Elite 4 and the Champion. And you're wrong, there is a way to gain this role without defeating the Champion. If it's they left their duty as a Champion. Red did that, and the Gen 5 protagonist did that as well. They left with their Legendary Dragon (they defeated N remember), and nobody saw them again up until this point. Outside of Pokemon Masters that is. Iris could have taken the title of Champion after that. As for Alder, in Black and White, he never really took time to even go at the League. He just kept travelling, as he was still grieving the loss of his Partner Pokemon. He only came back there during N's takeover. So he either got defeated by Iris or gave up the position too. All of these mysteries are interesting I guess, but where is the real biggest mystery of Pokemon : Pokemon Life Force and its impact on the Pokemon society ?
Crobat is a symbol of who they are. Even the most evil of them still are human and due to that golbat still evolves due to respect. Also is that one of the one piece openings I hear lol.
Dude did you not play ORAS. Steven literally gives up his role of champion and gives it to wallace in the post game in front of the player. We just never saw Wallace as a champion outside of emerald because they didn't remake emerald. It's not a myth. it's a fact. And don't tell me you're one of those people who think pokemon games have a timeline outside of r/b/g/y to g/s. Not everything has to have a timeline.
Crobat was an odd one, but I love that Ghetesi has his Pokemon have max power frustration meaning his Pokemon absolutely hates him!
Someone (I think HybridHero) made a video theorizing Ghetsis lost an arm to his Hydreigon
Crobat has always been something that I don’t know why people thought was weird. They maybe villains but they they still care for their Pokémon their ideals are just to an extreme. Or even toxic friends is still a friends ship and they could evolve because of that.
A wise sage once said something like this " just because you're a bad guy doesn't mean you're a bad guy" or something
@@SooperSlow91 or, maybe since they're villains they just stole a crobat from someone who cared about it? it's not like pokemon can devolve
@@Thomas_Bjornsson *the anime has something to say about that*
@PAGLIARANI ETTORE I guess some Pokemon are cool with that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@Skarap Anime and games are two wholy separate canons.

You are an excellent script writer, your commentary is so entertaining and insightful!
Lusamine is an antagonist who deserves to have a crobat given the fact that she does genuinely love her Pokémon.
This was an absolute wonderful and well-constructed video to stumble upon! Your presentation and choice of words are interesting to listen to! ❤
Why are your theories
always better than what Pokemon gives us?

Love that you used Conan motifs in your video! Instant follow!
Did anny one else realise the detective Conan music and refrains😅😂
During the first one, you should have mentioned how Ghetesi's Hydreigon has frustration
Never expected a Detective Conan kinda opening related to a pokemon topic.
Your editing is always so on point makes watching every video a delight
I only ever set foot on Mirage Island once during my hundreds of hours exploring Hoenn first in Sapphire and then in Emerald. I didn't learn how rare that was until many years later lol
Love how you used “and the world refused to die/battle against true hero” background music
I just gotta say, the music taste in this video is amazing!
Plus Volo in LPA has a Togekiss, which means the Togepi he had was happy with him, but why?
Simple, aside from the obvious Cynthia connection, he's never shown to be an awful person. He's just obsessed with Giratina as some kind of way to lash out at his lack of parents. That animosity never included his Pokémon.

I think you mean Cynthia is no iris.
All of these are great explanations for these mysteries, and none of them I’ve seen literally anywhere else.
I may be alone on that but...
Honestly after first rather general kind of mysteries I hoped all will be either that kind of general (meaning: they are about franchise as a whole) or more anime related instead of so game focusing.
But it still was kinda interesting. Especially first one.
god damnit detective conan introduction to mysteries love it
That was a good explanation I hope there's a part 2 for it
Everyone knows villians have crobat to make eggs so they can flood the caves with zubats, why cause their evil knows no bound
Liechi berries also grow in Alola (the only reason I know is because I'm replaying Sun)
I loved the detective conan referrence
Top tier background music choices
Highkey
I was actually on mirage island in emerald version twice in the same playthrough
Poketubers like Karim are the reason for a Pokemon community to exist
Cyrus might be emotionless, but he’s not exactly heartless

WOAH?? The Iris slander in the thumbnail…? 😧
Seriously. I mean I was like, "When did she join team rocket?!!"
Why would you make Dialga an antagonist? It's never shown to want to defeat or rebel against Arceus. So of all Pokemon on the list why would you pick him? But that's okay they are your theories?
Yea it would have made more sense if he said Giratina. Dialga is loyal to Arceus
Mmmmm points to the pokemon dungeon games
@@enderwalkgang Technically it was being mind controlled. Which made it slightly orange for some reason.
7:40 - 7:45 what's the source? I read the manga and i liked this ship
I aggre with all this except Mirage Island it just doesn't make sense how you catch wynut and have the berries stored in your bag after you leave
I personally have a theory that in cyrus’ case the reason he has a crobat is essentially stokholm syndrome
Xerosic and his Crobat: ...
Clemont: people who use Science for evil don't count :P
The jail warden: sir you've been here for five hours trying to lecture this person on right and wrong I think you should leave.

Yea i'm pretty sure Alder said he retired and gave up the position to Iris because she was young and talented.
The lore is insane

Love your videos❤
yo mirage island, reminds of blox fruits...
I always thought they stole their Crobats.
Yes thers a name for that kina for love its calldid hardlove and its both pain and happey at the sam time
Mirage Island is basically a One Piece plot
I wonder why we never seen iris parents in the anime
answer for crobat: they just walk a lot
The reason why mirage island exist is simple the creators just said ... why not
I have beaten Pokemon and its full story 4 times and i have never heard of mirage islands
It's very real and in the anime as well. It is where Misty says goodbye to her Togepi.
Okay where the heck do the anime clips come from, cause I'm pretty sure it's not from the pokemon with Ash in it-
it's from pokemon evolutions
Is N name his real name
