- This is my thirty-eighth #whispering only video. In this video I'm solving a #cryptic crossword. I've been solving Cryptic Crosswords for many years and have never grown tired of these type of crossword puzzles. Some of these crossword clues are easy, but some can be diabolically difficult!

I have no idea how he's figuring these out. Do these things have a common rule set?
"spoonerisms" are common phrases with the initial consonants swapped to make a different phrase, attributed to a Reverend Spooner who... i know nothing about except that this is named for him :) so, swap "key ring" to get "ree-king". it comes up in cryptics occasionally and always means the same thing, though sometimes they get cheeky and only refer to him as "the reverend"

This is the first time seeing this kind of word puzzle and just wanna say that the difficulty of it is...... INSANE!!!!!! couldn't get a one word even !! How smartness inside your brain to be able to figure the words out that easily??!

Omg.... I actually stayed awake for this one to try to solve some of the cryptics alongside you and I couldn't even get a single one 😂 And yet each answer makes perfect sense after you solve it

I think Key Ring and Reeking with the clue "says" could be a sounds like clue and a spoonerism clue in one

Im honestly uaving a hard time figuring rhese out for myself, but i got 9 right!!! I was thinkg "blast ants" and another word for "obvious" :) i figured itbout but yaing the wrong technique!

I actually am preferring your two new channels. I’m getting a little tired of the snack foods. I get that they are easy and yes they are relaxing, but I miss the in-depth look into Australian culture. For us in America it is so foreign and interesting to know.
Also, which video do you go through all of the pieces of carpet you’ve used? It was a surprise and a wonderful look back since I have watched your channels from the very beginning.
