Thanks for sharing your story Sensei! I enjoyed learning about how Hawaiian Kempo got started! I could listen to these stories all day long, I found the history so interesting and such a amazing part of Martial Arts history in general. Once again, thanks for sharing and educating me on your Hawaiian Kempo roots.
"...it doesn't work on Samoans.." LOL! Too bad I was learning Aikido prob during the time he was on Oahu seems like a cool guy and I was too young to appreciate Maruyama Sensei.
His hair is still amazing after all these years. They need him in Hollywood. Fight scenes kinda suck these days. All CGI and wires. Stunt doubles. Yuck.
I appreciate the history of Martial Arts that Master Bill Ryusaki shares and the fact that he was a great part of this history.

I was a student of Sensei Bill in 1977 to 1979 In North Hollywood. What a great teacher and wonderful man.
Love you Sensei Bill Ryusaki and we miss you very much
What happened with his kenpo group and Nishiyama's shotokan group? The film stoppedas he about to talk about the outcome. Is there a part II?
That's amazing
I heard no mention of Grand Master Ralph Castro
Good video. Some parts are unclear
