JVC VHS-C Camcorder Test 2: It has a battery now.

These clips range from early last July to early this August. They were taken around the time I got a newly manufactured battery for it. The plan for digitizing these was to see if I could squeeze out the full 60 FPS of the original source, but it seems something with my conversion process is keeping it an average 30FPS (NTSC video signals, like those on VHS, are at a native 60i, but modern tech compresses them to 29p for who knows what reason). Not sure how to fix that. I guess here's just some random footage or whatever; I really need to invest in a good capture card (i.e. avoid those cheap USB to A/V adapters).

Recordings from old camcorders invoke such a wonderful sense of nostalgia, giving everything so much more character than modern cameras. Also nice kitties!

Yeah, I kind of feel the same way, hence why I've been getting more in to them as time goes on.
