  • Chicago 4K, architecture capital of the world, stunning architecture captured in 4K HDR with cinematic precision and set to relaxing and calming music. I filmed it over two years with countless trips to capture sunrise, sunset times. Each time collecting a small amount of clips at the edges of light at dawn and dusk. Then, I've selected only the most cinematic from the batch and set them to a calming music I've selected from hundreds of pieces I've considered.

    Beautiful drone shots of a beautiful city. Am just curious if you use DJI Mavic 3 Pro Cine?
    Keep up the great work.

      Thank you! This was mostly filmed on my older Mavic 3 and I think 3S. I sold both since and now use the Mavic 3 pro for 3x optical zoom. I never had cine version. Too expansive and my workflow doesn’t require ProRes. The low light quality was so so on 3S, but the Mavic 3 with micro four thirds sensor is fantastic. All models.

      Thank you! I almost didn’t take off that day. Got there for a sunrise and it was thick fog poor visibility. Then it cleared up. Lucky me.

    What do you use for colour grading?

    • @cinematicrelaxation
      @cinematicrelaxation  Год назад +1

      is it bad? DaVinci Resolve, but I am still learning... also I am hoping to upgrade my editing hardware to properly see HDR, I am editing a bit in the blind.

      @@cinematicrelaxation Not bad at all, but I too am just beginning so what do I know lol. I'm not even at the colour grading stage yet so you're ahead of me atm .

    It's a much nicer looking city than new york but i've heard it's incredibly dangerous everywhere. From friends at Univ of Chicago. So i've never been but i have a brother who lives in one of the north suburbs. Looks nice though.

      University of Chicago is in a tough spot. For the most part Millennium Park, Magnificent Mile, and lakefront are quite safe and touristy. Of course in any big city things can happen. Thank you for your kind words.

    Always wanted to take my son and grandson to see the sights as I did going to college there but with the high crime rate this is as close as we're going to get.

      Thank you for your comment. Most of the crimes happen in south Chicago, not the Millennium Park and North Ave beach I filmed, but I completely understand and I’m with you. To be honest, it’s on my mind every time I go out to film.

      If you went college in Chicago you should know what areas are entirely safe. Unless your kids are in a gang and in the south side I think they will be okay Pam.

      And if you do go, take a boat ride along the river and out onto Lake Michigan. The skyline is beautiful.

      I suggest visiting with them. It seems as though You're focused on areas frequented by tourists and those areas are fairly safe. The further You get from tourist areas is when it may become more challenging and that includes all parts of the city not just south.

      Friends from University of Chicago say the whole place is incredibly dangerous. And the police do nothing, similar to new york in that respect.
