Enjoyed your video. Yes, Helm is the way to go...I have the Helm Miyako, waiting on the Komodo. I also have the Seiko Samurai STO 1st generation with the blue to black dial. Both decent watches. Cheers from Atlantic Canada!!!
The Seiko dial is just the winner, but I do like the more fun colourway of the Helm. Not sure I'd wait years for one though. Great work with the comparison and I'm going to take a look at those bracelets as I'd like a better one for my monster. Cheers
Great video, as always! Both watches are really the essence of what everyday divers piece should be... Helm for me is by the tip of a spear in front and especially if it has date complication. The only thing needed is on the fly adjusting bracelet. Cheers mate.
I had the Samurai but sold it, never got used to this weird case shape. I have the Helm in Black and white with date and yes, this one stays, so there you would have my winner, thanks for the video 😊
Great video. Don’t own a Samurai but own a Sumo , Turtle 🐢, SKX , Baby Tuna and two Monsters . I did own a Helm Khuraburi but sold it . Definitely prefer Seiko. The Helm is an excellent watch but I just never bonded with the watch .
@@WATCHingJames thanks brother. I also own two Seiko 5 watches and three Orient watches as well. I guess you could say I’m a big fan of Japanese watches .
Excellent video James, both are great watches. I also have the Samurai on a better bracelet. I really enjoy it, it's very comfortable and the lume is wonderful while diving which of course is to be expected from Seiko. Love the Helm too but I don't like it enough to join a waiting list for one.
I'm on the waiting list for a Khuraburi but I'm #6227 on the list! I did recently get my Vanatu titanium though. Very nice watches. Thanks for the video.
@@WATCHingJames always welcome james Ordered a mechanical indian watch HMT kohinoor...its my first and beginning of my collection..wish me a luck....always liked ur videos.. informative. Educational. Nd inspiring...will email you the pic as soon as i get the delivery...
I have the Helm and have owned many seiko's. The Helm is still part of my top 10 collection. The Seiko has failed to achieve that and sits a cut below IMO. The Helm is a keeper but I have swapped it on to an Oris rubber strap as the stainless was too heavy. The new titanium version would be the one to go for.
Hard to beat the samurai or the king turtle. But I am on the wait list for the helm Komodo. Helm has the same seiko movement as the samurai. I’m getting the orange Komodo.

Thank you. They are both fantastic. I found it interesting to put these two side by side.

The strap code bracelet is impressive
Great Video! I have 4 Helm watches. A Ti Buri, SS Buri, Ti Van, and SS Van. They get more wrist time then any other watches in my collection.
They make brilliant watches. I can understand why they have been so popular

I really enjoyed having both of these in my collection.
Fantastic watches.

Thanks for WATCHing Frank.
I really love both. I find them both amazing.

That’s a great selection of seikos. They really are amazing watches.

Sound great to me. I’m certainly a fan.

It is a very long waiting list. I was lucky to pick this one up.
I love my samurai. The dial and case shape amazing.
You know me.....I love the orange. Great review
Thanks Paul. The orange really does pop on the Helm.

6227 wow. Might be a while then. Great you have the Vanuatu. I’m sure it’s great.
Helm for the win.
They are incredible watches. I can see why they are so popular
I have been so impressed by my Helm watch. But how does it compare with my favourite Seiko?
Hi james
Very informative
Thanks Aamir

That’s great.
Ummm if the Helm stock bracelet is so fantastic compared to the Seiko stock bracelet shouldn't that be huge points in favor of Helm?
Thanks for WATCHing
@@WATCHingJames saw that you covered this in your video 👍
Crazy helm has a wait list they must be incredible design of watch first time of me hearing about them

It is a very impressive watch. Great to hear you are happy with yours.
all two are beautiful watches, but a waiting list is not for me.
It’s a long waiting list too.

They are both fantastic and that orange really pops.
Thanks for WATCHing
I prefer the Helm. More interesting dial and bezel. However the Seiko would fit in better in a non diving situation.
I am lucky to have both. They are both amazing.
From a distance the Helm reminds me of a rotary phone.
It does
