I don't understand why I am having a hard time with her passing. I usually could care less what happens to celebrities. I know that Amy is ultimately responsible for her own actions but what was going on with those who were around her all the time? What were they not doing to help her? I absolutely loved her look and sound and don't know if I will ever find another to replace what she was doing. Man I'm going to miss her music.

She was true to her craft and was so original about it and in my opinion was a truly down to earth person with a loving heart but just got crushed by the machine of the music industry

Also, please listen to "Love is a Losing Game." The lyrics are intelligent & articulate, not to mention it has a beautiful melody. With her two albums, she speaks honestly from her life. She's mixed elements of jazz, hip-hop, Motown, soul, ska, & doo-wop, so she is clearly well-versed in good music.
Rest in peace, my girl. No one could do it like you. I likethe Wembley version of this song better than the recorded one. No more "If's", "But's", No more. What a waste. As an alcoholic, this is the strongest pause I've ever felt. No one like Amy ever really dies. Teach the Angels how to sing sweetheart.

Yup...After watching her as healthy Amy, and looking at sick Amy now, it breaks your heart. She touches so many age groups, races, nations, with her music. SHe's gifted. I hope somone in her inner circle intervenes. She needs help. It's a disease, so I pray she gets control before its too late.

But when she smooths it out and gets that clear jazz tone going, she's the best. Her voice is very strong here. Her unpredictability may be part of what made her so compelling and attractive.

10 years later and still no artist ever came close to Amy. Probably never will be.
