Dude... I started in this season. And i feel like it already brings so much nostalgia to me seeing some of my favorite guns, characters, and pois. Especially mega city, one of my favorite pois I've ever been in. And oh boy did i love the explosive repeater rifle and drum shotty.

As someone who loved season 8 and chapter 2 season 6, in my opinion this was a major down and quit the season after June.

That is 100% true. I hated chapter 4 because that's when I moved away from my old friends and they didn't play anymore. But when chapter 5 came around, and I made new friends to play with, I ended up having the most fun I ever had in fortnite. (My new friends have quit this current season 😢)

I don't think any season is bad, I think there are some that aren't as good as others. I will just say I am proof that if you take a break, you will enjoy the game more when you come back. I took a break for 4 months and I came back towards the end of MEGA, and I loved Wilds! The jungle biome was so fun to play in and explore, I love nature themed things! Plus, Epic made up some lore about how Optimus Prime came to the island, so even though he wouldn't usually fit in a nature season, he did this time! There is a particular group who I think could try taking a break *cough cough* OGs who have played every single season *cough cough*

I think Primal is overhated too.
I still wish Alan Grant was the secret skin of that season, the Jurassic parks 30th anniversary was the same day as the launch day of the season so the opportunity was right there

At least that season we hade a Summer event unlike the last season Epic games didn't give us any Summer event except for a summer tour drive by a siber truck

I’m biased because I started in this season, great to start in with the spray meta and it introduced me to bosses.

So about the complains of this season.
The drum shotgun: a lot of times this weapon didn't hit 4 points of damage to kill the enemy, and with the havoc shotgun still in the game, it was not an invencible weapon.
The summer event: saying that they could have put more content in it is true, but if you play fortnite for the summer events, what can i tell you.
The loot pool: the flapjack assault rifle, and the thermal DMR were decent weapons, the MK alpha was also good, and we had a lot of options from season 2. Without mentioning the mamoth pistol and the explosive rifle.
The jungle: it had a lot of movility with the water, the jump mushrooms and the plants that worked as rails. It also looked beautiful and the fact that is was under the normal level of the floor gave the feeling of being in another map.
Lack of movility items: it was not so bad, the jungle was really easy to cross, and no movility items means that a guy cannot run 200 miles away from you with the shockwaves after you returned the shot.
The only things that i would say that were really bad in this season are the battle pass and the velociraptors that attacked you in the jungle, other than that, it was just a solid season.
I honestly absulutly loved that season and I wish it could come back I do not know why its hated so much
It may bot be the best ever, but I really loved this season. Mainly for the explosive repeater rifle and the mammoth pistol, but i even liked the map. Alongside that the jjk collab finished the season in a bang for me.

I had started mid ch4 s1 and I played almost every day until school ended that year and I got burnt out. Also my brother deleted it and I couldn’t get it back for a while. But I feel as though the time I had played was lackluster compared to the other seasons in the chapter.
In all it isn’t bad it’s just not as good as the rest of the chapter.

I think the real Season 3 curse is the hate itself. I started playing in Chapter 5 but watching videos of this season I can already tell I would have had a lot of fun with it.
But then, I judge this game differently to most people. I go off of how cool I think the map is more than I care about balance or even seasonal mythics. As long as I'm having fun navigating the map, I'm happy, and Wilds looks like it was great for that.
Having said all that, the Battle Pass is actually one of the worst I've ever seen, and I've seen videos of all of them.

Very respectable, and if you can't enjoy the map your playing on, then why would you play on it for 2 and a half months, your question about seasons raises some very interesting questions. Infact, I could see myself basing season's more that way in the future. And I agree with everything you said, very well spoken.

I know Fortnite isn't exactly an adventure game but when I started playing in Chapter 5 Season 1 I was just blown away with how much more beautiful this game is than I thought it would be and it made me feel super immersed. I ended up spending minutes out of every match just parked in a car looking out at the landscape soaking it all in.
It's quite the feeling to see it, but also exploring places for the first time and using them to ambush people is even better. Like hiding out on the roof of Grand Glacier when someone was fighting Montague made me feel like an assassin in a thriller movie, and don't even get me started on how strong the vibe was in Wrecked...
However, the most important thing a map can have to me is interactivity. Anything from vehicles, to vending machines, to zip lines, even things like closing a door on someone who's trying to shoot at me is always good for a cheap laugh. Nothing gets me more excited for the new seasons like seasonal interactivity.
I've even gone back and marked every season for its map interactions. I could give you the list if you want, but just know that every single season has added its own significant interactive element to the map since tanks and airships were added to Chapter 3 Season 2
Chapter 5 Season 4 is the first season since then that hasn't added any new interactive features and that mostly blew my enthusiasm for this season. I look forward to riding around on boats and helicopters and using phone booths to dress up as minions in OG 2, though.
Absolutely, the ability to interact with things on a map just makes it that much more immersive, it's actually incredible, and Fortnite has always been good at that. To be honest, I've never seen anyone with this level of appreciation for the little things in Fortnite, especially now a day's when it seems like every player is complaining and whining. Very refreshing takes, love the enthusiasm, much respect💪😤

This season was okay. It had a very strong beginning.. but like you said, towards the middle it got stale, and at the end it pick the momentum up! It wasn't the best season, but it wasn't the worst by any means

I think liking c4 s3 also depends on what person you are. For me, i loved the jungle because it was a unique biome as it was in a big underground pit. But some people dont care about how biomes look and just the playabilty

I quit during Wilds it was a good season but I was burnt out from MEGA so I quit in the first week if wilds

Wilds was my second season of fortnite ever and I had a blast. I honestly just am cool with playing different styles of the game and don't get so easily annoyed since I don't try and take the game too, too serioulsy. Also Raptors, easily the best part of the season.

Nah i gotta be honest Chapter 4 Season 3 deserved the hate..i mean this season had a reskinned pump shotgun, mk alpha a weaker version of the mk seven. The map was all underground which was just annoying to go through during storm. The lootpool was lackluster due to the drum shotgun coming back. The transformers mythic was useless unless for rotation. The BP stinked BUT the super styles were sick. And dont get me started on the summer event…Overrall this season was HEAVILY carried by the mammoth pistol and JJK Collab

I feel like ch5 s3 Wrecked was overhated now look I know sweats and some casuals hated the season because we haven't seen a non competitive season in a while or maybe in forever and a wacky fun update in a while as ch5 s3 was so wacky and fun and ch5 s3 was a civil war in the community but at least the story for the season was really good just like the season in my opinion and yes it did have a very bad Summer event but we technically got Reload in the Summer update as v30.20 didn't only bring All Sweat Summer it brought Reload, Magneto, and Pirates of the Caribbean over the span of 4 weeks

0:31, huge lie. It's considered terrible by the majority lol. Also, I still think this season was horrific--the map changes were dull and felt like a downgrade. Whilst visually impressive, it was annoying to play in. Furthermore, they bombarded us with content in the first few weeks then the drought commenced. I love how seasons add mid-season content like C5S2 was. Also, did anything actually happen in this season? Did this season need to exist? Absolutely not.

That's very understandable.
I didn't hate the season itself, but god I hated the jungle biome, that thing was so badly optimized, it made my PC run the game from that smooth 120fps and get stutters that went below 20fps, it was genuinely miserable. I cheered when Chapter 4 ended so I wouldn't suffer the jungle anymore 😭💀

Primal was Season 6, regarded as one of, if not THE worst of all time.
@@POJOgamingYTit was the worst because the tryharders ruined it, the crafting was a cool idea but it felt down update after update until the crafting was useless making the season bad because the only feature that could had a big change got wasted and never had a comeback

I still liked this season, (Totally not biased because it was around the time I turned 18), even with all its flaws. The story was mid, sure, but it had some great skins in it. In fact, I’d actually rather go back to Wilds than play most of Chapter 5, if I’m honest.
If anything, the worst season… Is it really a contender? It’s fucking Primal. Like, I’m not going to make a joke, it’s just… Primal.

hot take, the map was the best part of the season and i thought there was only 1 bad jungle location (that being rumble ruins) and the rest of the jungle was pretty good

Battle Pass 2.5/10 it was very forgettable as most recent battle passes are nowadays.
Map changes 3.5/10 the areas and features are cool but are horrible to fight in
Loot pool 4/10 it wasn’t all that great and had some annoying guns to deal with but the gun I loved from the season was the Mammoth Pistol.
Gameplay 4/10 it wasn’t too bad but it wasn’t great. I have this season as my top 10 worst seasons with 6 of them being worse.
