Haven't been this excited for an Assassin's Creed game in a decade. If it truly is a love letter to the past, Ubisoft, please don't make it a Dear John farewell letter. Make more. This is what fans of the franchise have been clamoring for.
Last time a dev used the word "a love letter" was a while ago... "A love letter to the fans!" - BF2042 and boy, what a letter that was! Pretty sure, from all I've seen so far, that this won't be the case for AC Mirage.

You can tell how much love and passion the team put in and that in itself is something I support. Im sure this game will be great and if more teams were like Ubisoft Bordeaux, we would have loads more great games :)
Most teams are like Bordeaux, unfortunately like half of executives or top management on the AAA industry, do not give time and freedom to the devs to make the games they want make.
Tbh its pretty hard to believe a word that any ubisoft employee says because they have constantly mislead players about how their games play and perform, also doesnt help this is obviously PR. No developer is going to give their full honest opinion in this video

It just copy paste mechanic, like a dlc from 7 years ago game ( origin) nothing new, same animations, less weapon, no bow, just hide hit number and put back 1 hit assassination and you think they did it right ? How stupid and blind 😂

Ubisoft Bordeaux is definitely one of the best studios out there. They definitely made this game with passion and by heart. I’m sure that if they were given more budget and time they would’ve tried to please literally everyone. Ubisoft, please keep Bordeaux in the franchise. These guys are awesome.
Please keep to the core roots of AC games, That’s why players fell in love with this game in the first place. That’s why I am extremely excited about this release.

No more rpg games I beg. This is what an Assassins creed game is, a stealth game first with historical immersion. Thank you ubisoft for making this game. These are typical behind the scenes shots. They are 0 indication for the games quality. Noone here will say „we are overworked, have to crunch and won‘r be able to finish the game before launch“ LOL
it makes you want to play assassins creed again. i have not touched a game since it went rpg. a friend of mine said he spent 100 hours in origins hearing that made me go oh no, he said there was no rpg stuff in it and he enjoyed his time in the game. i myself have done all up to syndicate. the only problem i had with assassin creed games was that if you have english as language and dont have subtitles on you never get to hear what guards say or anything. a game that required subtitles on was binary domain as some cut scenes were pure foreign language. if they had the ability to have english in the game but have option for subs to come on when they speak a foreign language would be cool.
Only thing i want them to add is, - Repayable missions / Contracts - Non lethal hand takedown, you could do it at the start of the game. (roleplay purposes)
im so excited to see this sort of new-classic take on the series, ive been replaying the classic games and ive been dying to find out how these sorts of inspirations unfold with modern tech

Thanks to ubisoft Bordeaux for back to the roots. We are enjoying the beautiful scenary of baghdad and also the assassins tools we most love much. But we have a complain also. About world details.. It need to be fix. It has it’s flaws and I ran into a few bugs and glitches but I think it’s decent And we need more realictic graphics.. The sound track is well. Again thanks to the narrative director sarah beliau.

fabian solomon, please let us have the option to disable AC1 shing on assassinations. yes it is iconic, but it would be nice to only hear the subtle hidden blade sounds instead. the shing gets repetitive

I just recently started playing Tom Clancy's breakpoint. I'd really like a version of the game that fits Breakpoint's "immersive" experience. Or at least a way to customize the experience you get within the world itself.
I wish the camera was centered and not over Basim's shoulder. It just seems off somehow, but still we have mod creators to fix that for us. The game looks Interesting and Fun to play anyway.
i'm not really interested in mirage, but i do hope Ubisoft really do try and error as much as they can, so they can have the best formula for Assassins Creed Red, as that is what we really waiting for.
“A love letter to past AC games…” What they mean by this is “We’ve been using the same engine and gameplay mechanics since AC Origins, which came out in 2017. 6 years ago!!!
They‘ve been using the same engine since Unity (AnvilNext2.0). Which is absolutely fine btw, Fromsoft has been using the same engine since Dark Souls 1. Creating a new engine is insanely difficult plus it more or less resets you to the start, as most of your previous assets, workflow and approaches won‘t work anymore. Not a single dev team will willingly switch engines in between a franchise unless their current engine is the main limitation (which in AC is not the case)
@@MisterK9739 I mean the same engine version, or rather, a version of the engine that hasn't improved graphics significantly and all it's achieved is worsening the gameplay dynamics. Arno could almost fly through the streets of Paris and after that, every new AC character has been a tank.

I like it. Definitely found a problem. I like playing the game with just the reticle on. If you turn off the HUD:OTHER control interface; contentual actions and control hints it will not execute on command I want to play. Without the hints UBISOFT needs to update soon.
watched a teaser gameplay of it. the movement of the character is still painfully slow just like in Valhalla unlike the other AC games. really slow movements just takes the fun away from the game. i'll pass.

Finally a sensible Assassins Creed, but why doesn't any of the environment details have any physics? Ropes sags but behaves like they're made of stone, awnings doesn't deform when the player walks on them and platforms held up by rope doesn't sway when jumped on.
They do. Look at the platform one again in 0.25 speed for example, it sways, the video just cut before it noticeably moved. The clips are just shorter is all

This is not a Negative Comment so carfully read this and it's all about the Graphics and the 3D Models.. i love the game so much but i also need to say what the whole world say that it has to be done to push the game forward. i collected most of the comments about the game since people got early access to the game. 1- the Foliage guys.. the colors wasn't that accurate all time.. blue and purple colors of flowers wasn't there back at that time, also the Palm trees 3D model looks very old and doesn't have accurate details and i'm shure you can have better libraries of plants, these old models has been used in AC ORIGINS that made players feel like Baghdad looks like Siwa.. so you just need to reconsider this in the next games. 2-the 3D models of People.. it's really looks old in a disappointing way😕 something isn't Good with the Quality of the characters.. the faces looks really un realistic while all today's games so much better in facial details.. so many players noticed that's.. the facial expressions are poor.. the Hair is bad.. and they all look like Clay skin !! it was better in old Ac games.. it started with origins and the characters now are DESTROYING the good looking of the city that you built so beautifully. We pay so much attention to the details more than you could think.. and we always expect more NEW things and not copying from past games.
We want assassins creed movies, a movie was shot, it was not continued, it needs to be continued, I think games are being made, I think it would be nice if you make movies as well, you need to think about this.

UBISOFT REMAKE THE EZIO TRILOGY PLEASE
This is not a Negative Comment so carfully read this and it's all about the Graphics and the 3D Models.. i love the game so much but i also need to say what the whole world say that it has to be done to push the game forward.
i collected most of the comments about the game since people got early access to the game.
1- the Foliage guys.. the colors wasn't that accurate all time.. blue and purple colors of flowers wasn't there back at that time, also the Palm trees 3D model looks very old and doesn't have accurate details and i'm shure you can have better libraries of plants, these old models has been used in AC ORIGINS that made players feel like Baghdad looks like Siwa.. so you just need to reconsider this in the next games.
2-the 3D models of People.. it's really looks old in a disappointing way😕 something isn't Good with the Quality of the characters.. the faces looks really un realistic while all today's games so much better in facial details.. so many players noticed that's.. the facial expressions are poor.. the Hair is bad.. and they all look like Clay skin !! it was better in old Ac games.. it started with origins and the characters now are DESTROYING the good looking of the city that you built so beautifully.
We pay so much attention to the details more than you could think.. and we always expect more NEW things and not copying from past games.

We want assassins creed movies, a movie was shot, it was not continued, it needs to be continued, I think games are being made, I think it would be nice if you make movies as well, you need to think about this.
Where is the facial animation worker, I'd like to see him, does he have the same cardboard face?
