Flavour has such an interesting background story. I'm wondering what would have happened, if he had listened to his mum. There would have been no Flavour. Sometimes parents can almost ruin your destiny, in the name of trying to put you on the right part. Thank God modern parents are starting to understand the need to support thier children, and invest in thier talents.
I had the same judgment as you. Sometimes you have to tell your family the truth, your feelings, and discuss with them. They always try to choose for their children. It's not easy but you have to try to convince them about what you want. Thank god that happened and now everyone is proud and satisfied . god loves him.
Flavor managing dementia like a geriatric psychiatrist! Heart-warming story. A lot of work needs to be done on dementia awareness in our society though. Flavor is an Icon Living!
Nigerians don’t realize artists like Flavour have a WAYYY bigger reach than their faves. I promise you. But they are not recognized because they don’t fit the Lagos hype. A lot of these Lagos hype artists do not have flavour’s reach
He’s not recognized as much bc he doesn’t do what everybody else does that’s why I have big respect for him bc he’s always original (love to all Nigerian musicians tho❤️)
A very good story teller ... For the 50+ minutes of this interview, I went with him on a journey "through" his life. A complete musician, this man will be here forever ... Overpaid his dues 👌 Deserves every bit of success and accolades coming his way.
I am so honored to hear that he saved himself until he was 24 years old, !!! That's inspiring for other young men who are working on their careers. All praises to Chinedu -Flavour for setting the standards high and have integrity and proving that there are virtual men, God-fearing men. I was captivated by this. God preseved his virginity, kept him pure and we need more celebration of our black men preserving their virginity. Amen

It's beautiful how Ebuka allowed flavour talk about his journey without cutting him off at any point. And it is no surprise to see how well rounded Flavour is music wise. He learned the ropes and it is paying off now. So proud of his steady growth. I hope his mom is proud now?
I swear when he mentioned playing Joromi for his papa, I loved it. When I first watched the IG post, I cried. It' was so beautiful how his papa looked like it brought back so many memories. Ijele is truly timeless. Check from 'N'abania' until now 'Flavour of Africa'. Still that same classic sound that you just know it's him. Udo!
Saw this man live in my uni days, he came to imsu to perform with terry G and others. I just knew he had that aura, happy he is successful today. A real musician

Wow! Flavour really did get his foundation right. You can tell he studied the art of music. Totally agree with his music being timeless now. He paid his dues ooo! So interesting to know more about him
Flavour's mom reminds me of my mum. I Was one of the best basketballers in my school team during my secondary school days, but my mum wouldn't let me go for Saturday training sessions at school nor go for matches outside school time. My school, NGS Nike, once qualified to rep Enugu in the Milo school BB competition. We were to go play in Asaba, but I couldn't think out a lie that could make my mum permit me travel with the school team and stay there for days. My school coach gave me a letter for my parents to ask for their permission. I knew my dad wouldn't mind as long as it came from school, but I dared not leave that house without my mum's authorization. At the end of my long thoughts, I didn't show anyone the letter. I tore it and thrashed it. The team went without me. When they came back, the coach wasn't happy with me and the team members made jest of me for not being able to leave my parents house. That was how I quit the team and the basketball dream ended. I still love my mum; bless her soul!
Great story Mr. Flavour... We see "It" did penetrate :-) We are thankful for your determination to work at what you love, Now we enjoy your blessings to the fullest. Stay strong. Yours is ours.

Come correct or don't come at all. Its Igbo. The "G" is NOT silent.
You are not 'Igbo' are you?
When he said he makes timeless music, I just shouted Yes! Because that's the best word to describe Flavour's kind of music.
