There is something..... different about Elijah. Something that seperates him from the other Originals... And you see that in the way people treat him, react to him. The degree of respect and admiration is to be expected, but the degree of fear he inspires... For me he's death personified in the Originals.

I agree a lot with you. He feels a lot more like death, because of his calm attitude, even when threatening people. He does have certain respect, but be warned if you ever disappoint him..

There is no respect perhaps he was able to attain it because of how he built his " stature of virtue" , but they only fear him mostly, just like Klaus, these two have no respect and they don't command it any way whatsoever. They are cowardly hypocrites hidden under the guise of " powerful" or " loyal" or "noble " people

honestly Elijah is one of the best characters, he’s honest, noble, and he doesn’t lie. he tries to defend who he loves and i admire him for that. he makes a promise he does the promise. he is honorable and he’s the one who thinks out before acting.
@Conqueror of total war It wasn’t his fault, when he was at the bridge with Marcel, it was the same scene that played in the prophecy and he would have put him and everyone in the family at risk. His family , Hope ect.

I loved the duality of the brothers when compared they did equally horrific things Elijah just locked all his sins away behind the red door while Klaus indulged his. Elijah was Klaus' restraint while Klaus taught Elijah how to accept the worst parts of himself.

Elijah Mikealson has a special place in my heart. He values family over everything else and as Rebekah once said “he dedicates himself to everyone but himself.” He truly deserved better, I’m just sorry that he died😢
He dedicated himself to finding only his and Klaus 's redemption, poor Rebekah couldn't see that but she did have a bit of being immature of analyzing themselves properly , but that was also because she wanted love the most but she sought it from the wrong people, also their fault, Kol was a better brother to her than these two ever was .

When he killed the witches that poisoned Haley I cheered. It was glorious. Nik is a barbarian but Elijah was surgical like a special forces soldier. That's why I think he was the most powerful vampire.

Elijah deserved true happiness. He always, put his family first no matter the personal cost. Niklaus was his weakness and his strength.
My favourite part is when Elijah hold Damon with one hand and tell him that how a 150+ years old young vampires are so arrogant, how dare he challenge him ❤️😂

There's something about Elijah that was just... Different. He was just different. He was a character that broke all the walls, gave us something new. He's one of those characters I will never be able to shake. Since he first appeared in my TV screen, he stayed there.

I like that Elijah not only tries to always live up to his word, but deep down behind his red door he also knows he's a killer, and when the Witch asks him "You're the one they call honorable?" "Yes, that's what they call me" but he knows what he is, a monster is just as bad as Klaus when it comes to revenge and death of those he comes across. He isn't a purely noble stag, he's a vampire who tries his damnest to be a man of his word. That said, if I were to run into any of these characters from the OG vampire family, I would hope I came across Elijah or Rebekah. They may just feed on you, compel ya to forget or maybe turn you. Klaus, Kol would all just drink you dry. Finn wasn't shown to us to give an impression on his blood lust or lack thereof. 😂

Elijah is the best character in the originals, he did everything to protect his family, even erase his memories of them. I did hate that he got his memories back, since he was so happy without his family
No question: the greatest, most well-written vampire ever to grace a small TV screen. Like most characters on the CW, the network had no idea what an amazing character Elijah was. "The Originals" far outclassed "The Vampire Diaries" from Day One.
He was my favorite character, I cried when he died. Legit wish he stayed alive, see him come into Legacies and help raise Hope.
I haven't watch legacies yet but they should not killed him man I cried alot

Children of various supernaturals dealing with growing up, trying to find their place in the world, potentially facing old enemies of their parents, struggling to live up to/re-write legacies left behind by their parents, etc... What sunk the show was that they set it in a damn school. It made the show too juvenile and bland. Besides - villains sucked. Having "the same" big bad for 3 seasons just gets boring.
"So no one would ever know what was behind that red door." That story line has stuck with me.
Man I like Elijah just as much if not more than klaus. I love both of them but the more I watched the originals the more I admired Elijah. So elegant, graceful and yet deadly lol. Where Klaus expresses his rage outwardly Elijah is always cool calm and collected. He's just as fierce though. He usually tries diplomacy before killing but never ever ever ever hurt his family. I don't think folks realize that Elijah had way more darkness and demons than Klaus 💯

My favorite original, very elegant and honorable. Loved the series, was not thrilled how it ended. I would of liked more moments of happy and calmness.

Really love the adoration everyone has towards elijah in the comments he really deserves it more than anyone. The writers did him dirty by killing hayley, he gave her his word that he'll protect her but in the end became the very person of her demise and he should've stayed with hope as her mentor

This was so well done! You clearly illustrated how Elijah is not only the most interesting character in the show, the most honorable, the most moralistic, but the glue that held together not only the Originals themselves, but the very show itself. The fact that I want to ride that noble stag into the sunset is irrelevant to the character, but boy does it help. He could turn me in a heartbeat and I'd follow him all over the world.
Elijah is honorable, but there's a twist to every promise he makes regarding his family. I would dare to say he is a angel who can also be your devil if you do not make him promise the exact thing you want. And you'd never suspect him because he is all suited up and doesn't look like someone who lashes out. Almost like the fallen angel.
God, the writing…the dialogue in the Originals was always so good. 10x the show that VD was…

Wow I'm actually speechless this was unbelievable I cant get over what I've just seen, everything about this video was perfect. The amount of work you put in, It is perfection you completely captured the soul of this story it was always about Elijah holding together his family and protecting them no matter what they did to him. But what sets this edit above the rest for me is the way you delved into his story especially his red door and the darkness that lurks behind this is the longest and most thought out Elijah video I have ever seen the amount of effort and searching you must have done to complete this work of art is mind blowing you fully told every aspect of Elijah's life and captured everything that makes the show special within 10 minutes. I also loved the way you showed his relationship with klaus combined with the music it was perfect This masterpiece needs to seen by everyone watching it made me want to rewatch the show again You are an incredible editor and should be very proud of this work of art 💙

My most favorite. The Elijah Mikaelson. The honourable one, the unpredictable terrifying psychopath, the royal stag. Kept his word and walked right into the fire with Niklaus.
