The video clip has been shot in Ukraine, in Kiev on a bridge. Damso and him made 3-4 videos clips in Ukraine. Keep up the good work !
Fun fact : Orelsan is a huge fan of manga. He's the french voice of Saitama (One Punch Man) and I believe he also did the opening of season 2.
As for french rap, he's kind of "borderline" and not exactly a "purist". I mean some "true" old french rap groups would be "IAM", "NTM", "Fonky Family" and "113" wich have some funny lyrics too.
Finally, the east cost/west coast "battle" equivalent would be in France Parisian vs from Marseille rap (North against South).
You should do Stromae next! Not really the same style of music but in my opinion just as original and good quality sound and videos

The story about the bridge is that they started to build the bridge but didn’t have enough money to finish it. So they stopped the construction and brands and artists gave money to be able to shoot clips or ads on the bridge to help the construction
By the way, I assume your were more focused on the lyrics than the images, but FIY, every single sentence in this song is illustrated in the video. Every single one.
And BTW, the two guys at the far end of the lines are Orelsan's producers, and the one on the left has even made almost every of his instrumentals from the beginning of Orelsan's career ! (So yes, he also composed “Basique”)

At 2:58 I thought the expression "if may be" was obviously bad english and should have been replaced by "it might be", however on reverso.com there's some examples of this expression being used, personally it's the first time I see it.
and also some errors in the meaning of the translation like at 2:11 with
"You can't make a child out of people that you don't know well" which should be:
"You shouldn't make a child with someone you don't know well"
or a slight one at 1:33 "The politians have to lie or you won't (wouldn't) vote for them"
