    It's good to practice listening comprehension at a normal speech pace. It would be even better to talk something more around daily life instead of academic topic like history, culture, tradition etc. Many students have had enough lessons on academic English so we expect more real life English on RUclips.

      Hey! We have a few videos already on our channel where the conversation is much more centred around daily life. We had a lot of comments asking for more topic based conversations too so you will be seeing a mixture of both!

    The question is WHY everything should be only modern? Sometimes things like British monarchy could be the best basis for keeping country united, stable and absolutely unique. Really can't understand people who find their own traditions as something old-fashioned and bizarre 🤷‍♀️

    • @alisakomaritsyna8620

      What a dangerous way of thinking about property.. There are hundreds of thousands poor people living in bad conditions, homeless people, refugees - are you going to share your house with them?) If you don't respect personal property of anyone, including the royals, there will undoubtedly be someone who will think the same way about you.

    • @smashingenglish
      @smashingenglish  Год назад +2

      This is an interesting point of view. I would argue that my home is a small property with space only for a small family. However, the palaces that belong to the royals are the size of extremely large resort hotels and they are only ‘their property’ because of inheritance and money that we as taxpayers pay to them, not hard work. But it’s good to have debates like this! I think it’s an interesting time for the monarchy, I’m intrigued to see where they go next. ❤
