Hey Mango! I was wondering if you could do a video about customizing wigs, but not only the usual how to spray or angle the hair. Sometimes we can't find the perfect wig for the cosplay (the size doesn't match, the amount of hair is not enough...) so about "fusing" and sewing wigs to each other, simple ideas of how to get the hair straighten or curled without destroying the wig... I don't think I have ever a seen a video like that around and you're always so clear and put so much effort in explaining things that I think the video would work just fine :) ps: If you already did something like this, let me know, I searched but couldn't find x_x
+Lugar Nenhum I'd like to do more wig videos but it may be a while before I get around to them! In the mean time Arda Wigs has tons of tutorials on their site for those sorts of techniques :D
I just want to thank you for these videos! My dear daughter has her heart set on being Princess Zelda for Halloween. Given the impossibility of finding a Zelda costume (not Link!) and the cost of specialty costumes, we are trying our hand at doing it ourselves! Your automail series was especially helpful ;)
So i just found a tear in one of my favorite dresses and i needed to sew it back together but it was starting to fray already. But then i remembered your clear nail polish trick and i used it and it worked amazingly! i'm so happy now my dress is saved! and i'll definitely use this tip from now on.
I haven't started cosplaying just yet, but I am LOVING your tips and your channel. Thanks for making these awesome videos. I'm sure I'll make plenty of mistakes along the way and learn a lot that way too. However, I know these tips come from your experience so thanks for that!
aahh I love seeing you've posted a new video!! I love the idea of this series because it might not include something specific I'm looking for but I'm 100% sure a lot of these tips will come in handy in future situations! not to mention that rin figure is gorgeous as well
Love these videos. They are great! The clear nail polish and makeup remover is a gem! If you are ever doing some tips and tricks that might include armor builds or work with craft foam, any chance you can off up your tips or tricks on how to hide the seams especially if you're layering your pieces? It's so hard to find one that works, but I trust your methods.
I really like this idea for a series! :D Looking forward to seeing more in the future Also dat Rin figure * w * I wanted to get him, but alas, my figure order for the month was already too expensive.
Finally a new video on this Channel! I've been waiting so long for this :D You really inspirer me to cosplay more and to do more out of my cosplays! Thank you Nina for being my inspiration to cosplay ❤️😁
oh nice! I knew some of these tips.. but I never do them. like iron seams I keep meaning to. and ironing in general. but it does make a difference. great video hope to see more :)
I also find that fray-check tends to evaporate with time while nail polish stays longer BUT I'd rather let my inner pyromaniac out and burn the edges when I use the right fabric for it Great tips :D
Tip to go with #2 - I actually put all of my regular clothes in a suitcase/duffle bag, and then my actual costumes I put in garment bags. Perfect for cons I'm driving to to help prevent wrinkles and breakage.
THE STAIN REMOVING TIP SAVED MY LIFE. I got a dark red lipstick stain on the very front of my light silver corset that I spent hours on and I was so devasted and now it's completely gone. A+ 10/10 good shit would recommend!!!
HEY! I love your videos really! Thanks to your videos I got into to cosplay as well. But I kinda have a problem with my last costume and my current project. I wonder, how do you store stuff like your wallet, a bottle of water etc when you're at a con and you have a costume without pockets or other storage possibilities.
I need to get better about pressing my seams, I dislike ironing, so sometimes I find myself skipping that step for some garments DX Also, ironing my cosplay before wearing it. It usually just completely slips my mind when I am getting ready >_< I was looking at some photos friends and i got back from AWA, and noticed the creases in my veil and cringed so hard DX Lastly, I LOVE YOUR ENDING MUSIC!!! I think I mentioned it when you posted a preview on instagram, but it makes me think of Final Fantasy so much, and I always tear up with joy!!! lol
Thanks for making this! I'm a beginner in sewing cosplays and I'm planning to do more in the future so thanks so much for these tips. I'm not a beginner in cosplay though hehe.
Hello! I was wondering about tip number 2. I have a consume that's made out of a material similar to leather(I think) and was wondering of how I should iron them. It has fold marks and I was wondering if I should iron them but won't the costume be damaged if you iron on a leather(or something similar)?
For the makeup part. Say that i was cosplaying a female character from pandora hearts that had a LOT of white features such as pale skin and white eyelashes. What advice would you have for that?
what a great video ^^ nice tips, mango :D can u please make a post about ironing ur own costume for ur next video, cs not everybody can iron big gown or even a simple pleated skirt ;-; i tried laundry service, but they tended to folding it instead of hanging it with a hanger ;-; Thank u, love u n_n
+Circe Witch Most ribbon is polyester satin which will iron on a low heat! If you're worried about damaging it, just be quick, don't set your iron in one place for too long, just run over it quick to remove any wrinkles. Hanging it up when packing instead of folding to put in a suitcase can also help prevent wrinkles.
+Harley Johnson it should, unlike bleach, hydrogen peroxide doesn't mess with the color of the garment. Also, hydrogen peroxide helps get blood out too.
If you're not bothered by yuri undertones then you should like it. I really like how the whole band experience is portrayed. It really hits close to home if you've ever been in a music program, especially in school. I really didn't like the romance sub plot though. I'm fine with yuri (UtenaXAnthy 4ever!) but Reina's a snobby trumpet player who's doing it just to be special, not because she likes it :/ Not much character development but a decent show if you're into the whole concert band geek stuff.
+Nova Gray Certain fabrics fray if they are not hemmed. The threading that makes up the fabric starts to go all feathery and if you are cosplaying and it isnt supposed to be a part of the cosplay, it can cause a lot of trouble. All Fray Check really does is make it so the fraying doesnt continue up on the costume
This video inspired me to start cosplaying, now I'm on my third cosplay and Im rewatching this. Thanks so much for such great videos!

same!!!!
Clara, de Lugar Nenhum dip the wig in boiling water to straighten it and then wrap the wig in hair curlers to,well curl

I love this series idea, all those little things make a difference or are super useful to know!

can't wait for more of these. I finally cosplayed for the first time at Comic Con and I can't wait to do more!
Clear nail polish instead of Fray Check! You are a GENIUS.
I really like this idea for a series! :D Looking forward to seeing more in the future
Also dat Rin figure * w * I wanted to get him, but alas, my figure order for the month was already too expensive.
+FairyKeese I'm glad you like it!! And yesss he is my favorite purchase I've made lately -- I hope you're able to add him to your collection soon! ^O^
+FairyKeese Can I ask both of you, or either of you, where one might be able to find said figure?
+NoahGoyuns I pre-ordered mine directly from Japan several months ago when it was first announced! AmiAmi is where I get my figmas.
+MangoSirene Thank you so much!
+Jocelyn Flecha They're the Couture de Force figures, you can find them several places online! :3
Finally a new video on this Channel! I've been waiting so long for this :D

I look forward to the series! It's such a great idea and, as always, you are such an inspiration!!! ^w^
I never thought about using clear Nail polish! Thats awesome!

aghhhh your hair is so cute!!
You helped me get started with cosplaying. I love your videos and I can't wait to see more. Thanks for posting. ^-^
I don't know why "But" my favorite part was the ending.
oh nice! I knew some of these tips.. but I never do them. like iron seams I keep meaning to. and ironing in general. but it does make a difference. great video hope to see more :)
Clear nail polish is also good for a hole or run in the stocking. It prevents it from ripping even further.
These tips and tricks video are really helpful. You should do more of them.
thank you for the fray check alternative
I also find that fray-check tends to evaporate with time while nail polish stays longer
BUT I'd rather let my inner pyromaniac out and burn the edges when I use the right fabric for it
Great tips :D
Great video ! Thank you!
this video was so helpful and your hair is gourgouse.

What a beautiful Stocking miniature.

What if your costume has ribbon? My costume has ribbon on the bust and waist, as well as the skirt (it's Stocking's Angel Form). Is ribbon ironable?
+Circe Witch Most ribbon is polyester satin which will iron on a low heat! If you're worried about damaging it, just be quick, don't set your iron in one place for too long, just run over it quick to remove any wrinkles.
Hanging it up when packing instead of folding to put in a suitcase can also help prevent wrinkles.
+Koopa Kid OK thank you!

Tutorial for posing when?
Does tip #4 work for non-white fabrics?
+Harley Johnson it should, unlike bleach, hydrogen peroxide doesn't mess with the color of the garment. Also, hydrogen peroxide helps get blood out too.
if you're traveling to the con or shoot then you can iron your cosplay the day before and leave it on your mannequin overnight so it settles.
what is the poster with the girls playing instruments from, it looks like something I would like

What's fray check? (I hope I spelled it right)
