- First Edition Arts organised and curated their third annual Diwali Concert Series on 4th October 2014. The event was sponsored by Union Bank of India and was held at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi, Mumbai.
This year's opening artiste was Shashwati Mandal, one of the leading exponents of the classical form of Tappa. Here she performs a khayal in Raag Poorvi. She is accompanied by Pt. Vishwanath Shirodkar on Tabla and Smt. Seema Shirodkar on Harmonium.

I will recommend that people listen to the bandish "Ari maika sab sukh deeno...", in Rag Purvi by Ustad Nazakat Ali Khan & Salamat Ali Khan. The presentation is divine.

I was mesmerised when i listen to shahawati mandle sininging nirgun bhajan (Bhola man) on insync channel ,what a voice.
I got a chance to hear her in ITC Sangeet Sammelan Kolkata may be 7-8 years back. Ustad Zakir Hussain was the next artiste. People were eagerly waiting. But the poise, command and meditative state of her made the audience enthralled. It was stunning. The rare quality of Shashwati is the impeccable transcendental development of ragas. We are blessed to hear you Shashwati. May god bless you more.

Delightful rendition of Poorvi. We hardly get to hear this Raag fully. The selection of bandishes is excellent. Particularly the Madhylay एरि रे मैका

It's a traditional bandish. Is is also present in Kramik Pustak Malika.
