not a clue what you mean? Amy issues please post your own video so it's clearer. It's traxxas that state 200mm bodies only, any issues or problems I'd query it with them?
I love your review of the chassis. I to have seen the death wobble and t is concerning, so far I have the GPM rear brace with stabilizers on order that I hope helps the situation. You spoke about cadencing your upgrades which I like the sound of versus going all in at once. Do you happen to recall what you would do in terms of step by step upgrades that made an impact outside of power adders? I’d also be interested in your shock settings if you are willing to share. Thanks again! Great channel, love the format.
Hi, i own that car, but mine can't run under 5 or 6 mph and i wonder if it's normal or not ! In comparison my Xmaxx and X0-1 can easlily drive at 1 mph.
Can the body post line up with the slash 4x4 body post i am looking for a body for my slash that will not cover the wheels i whant to look like a buggy kind of thing
How much for this version ? And is the motor suppose to handle the speed gearing ? (is it gonna cog or overheat ?) also where did you get this awesome body ?
You would need to check with F&M hobby for their latest price- link below this video. As for the motor overheating with the gearing, I doubt traxxas are going to sell something they know is going to overheat (at least I really hope not!) however they do state it will run warmer with the speed gearing and that, that gearing should only be used on smooth surfaces. Body was from a HPI car I had sometime back - I bought the car as the body was so nice, the car wasn't good so I sold it but kept the body. I'm going to speed test it this week so I'll keep you posted on any temp issues. However most traxxas VXL models can put up with a lot of pressure before heat cuts out the ESC.
Driftomaniacs Ok thank you man. I was asking for speed because sometimes brands lies on their product. On my hpi e-firestorm the box claims 77mph but you have to use gearing that overheat everything
You'd have to drill new holes depending on who sold the body OR move the body post mounts over to fit, which is what I did for two of them at the rear, had to drill new ones at the front. Where did you get the body? This is an old HPI one, BUT I want another! : -)
@@DriftomaniacsRC so for the rear holes i just need to fit the included other body mounts right ? The body i want to buy is from a kyosho fw06, but it's exactly the same as yours, are you sure yours is made by HPI ? I will buy it to a guy, it's used but in great shape and only 20 bucks
Mine was from a HPI racing carI owned from new so I can safely say 100% yes it was made by HPI. I could've sold hundreds of these bodies as everyone asks where I got it from. As for the body mounts, as it's a different make of body to mine you'll need to play around with the mounting holes, BUT as you can move the front and rear mounts in and out, AND from side to side, you've a lot of wiggle room to play with front and back. That said I've a mod which lets you slam the front body to the ground (my front was still high) check it out here - ruclips.net/video/3LBuChFGNHw/видео.html it may well be of use. I've just googled the body and I'll see if I can get a clear one and get someone to paint it in the gulf colors, this has flipped a few times at 70+ before I got the suspension sorted out. Rock solid now. Love to see it when you've got it fitted. Post a pick to my facebook driftomaniacs page. The rear spoiler helps a LOT with stability. Good to chat!
@@DriftomaniacsRC thanks for your help, i hope i'll be able to fit mine. But really it's exactly the same as yours, the body holes in the rear are at the same sport so i should be fine
Thanks for posting this. You've done a really nice review. I've had nothing but problems with my Traxxas 4Tec 2.0 VXL AWD. I posted a video of the problems that I've had. @NEE8
Hi I thought it was Aluminum so I waited until I got back in to check, indeed it looks like Al not Metal so I checked vxl parts list on traxxas website and part No. 8355 is indeed Aluminum. I snapped Ryans one it two at the spur pin (hole). Hoping someone brings out an upgraded one although I'm thinking about making a carbon fibre one
At speed you will find it catches a lot and slows the car up. It will foul the tires and risk a cut/blowout. When youl say it sticks out I cant understand that as with 190 it should be too tight on the wheels etc not stick out. Even my aston martin 200mm needed quite a bit of trimming! 190? Got to be rubbing directly on the wheels/tires

Look forward to the run today! Nobody has a good running video of the VXL version at 70 mph.
You’ve Done It Richie!!! Gorgeous
like the aston martin body
I needed to hear that 200mm vs 190mm comment! Mahalo

Beautiful body on a rocket quick car! I have the British Racing Green Aston on my Inferno GT.
Thanks I wish i could get another one like it. Do they still make your one? If so any chance of a link to it as they no longer make this one
Sadly mine was also discontinued years ago. They do pop up on eBay from time to time.
Nice unboxing! Yeah TQi link app "enabled" is poor Traxxas marketing terminology. I think this VXL car also has a hardened steel centre driveshaft.
It look like Aluminum, but I may be wrong, I snapped the one on Ryans car! (Don't ask!)
Very nice 4tec! 😎
good review
I NEED THAT ASTON MARTIN BODY
What body is that???

I'm about to buy the same body for my 4tec. Do you use the existing holes to fit the 4tec or do you have to redrill some new ones?

What for extra red wire is that on the powerplug? Doesit have a function?
Hi can you be a little more specific and I'll try and help
it’s for the vellenieon esc cooling fan

Where is you get that body? How much? What is the model name. Thanks
Alas you can't get the HPI body anymore, I'd have sold dozens!
If you just put a 3s battery on stock gearing, it still only hits 35ish?
now i've got the VXL version as shown in this video. With the speed gearing it comes with on 3S you'll do double that
Also comes with steel drive shaft

Where can I find that body? What brand name is it?
It's an older HPI one and they no longer sell it.
Where can I find a body for this?
Any 200mm wide body can be made to fit but it must be 200mm, as 190mm won't fit so I'm told.
Sweet 👍👍👍👍
Is it a lipo cut-off?
+Fredrik Holt do you mean does it have a lipo cut off? If so yes
Driftomaniacs ok thanks
Driftomaniacs i have bought one now ;-) btw. Do you have problems with the servo also?
no problems with servo at all. What are you having issues with? Anything major and it's still under warranty
Love that body
190 mm fits most of the time, it just sticks out

aston martin aye
how does it do on 3s lipo without gearing up?
about 73mph on the stock 35/55
Can’t understand you
Listen in English it'll help a lot....
