After I send the debt validation when should I hop on the horn to try and do a settlement and payment plan? I never had any intention to go to court. I want to avoid courts, and judgements, and garnishments. This first one is with Capital Management/Velocity. I have a good way to get the charge offs removed as I do late payments. There is no right or wrong answer as to when you start to negotiate a settlement. Just think about when you will have the most leverage. And remember that you can settle a case at any time as long as both parties are willing
What about a debt collector who told me that they would make sure they didn't serve the papers because I wouldn't tell them where my husband was? We were separated at the time, for only a few days. (It happens often, when we fight, and we don't advertise the fact.) HIS debt, not mine, and far past Virginia's SOL. I don't even know how to find out if it is a real debt collector. But I cannot ignore it because they also told me they would get a lien put on our house. Help!!
Wife and I getting sued by Wast Lake financial for a lawn a car the car was totalled in a accident the insurance paid them for what they could it was not all off it .. this is really stressful for wife because she is disabled and on SSI I work part time for Goodwill and food stamps money that's all our income.. mainly cosighing for son for car
Sheriff left with my daughter today. I need to file an affidavit of defense at my court in PA. Is there a template. It’s $709 for $190 sewer bill. However I have a bill from my township saying I have a $265 credit in 2022. Help!

But, I know enough to know that it’s better for me if I just Submit my Answer to the complaint. 3) Very interested in paying for your 1:1, one hour coaching. Getting a hold of an Attorney to guide me in Filing my Affirmative Response, is really sloooow with Legal Aid Agencies, and I do not have time to waste. I’ve got less than two weeks to File my Answer - PLD-C-010 Form. -- Thank you.

You don’t have to give any information to debt collectors before they file a lawsuit #debtcollection
And they can't file a lein against the house if his name is not on it.

It may not be proper service but to protect yourself you should probably answer
