@@jasonlong30 I use vectric aspire. When I calculate the speeds and feeds based off of me bits it says like 250 imp on 17000 runs. I feel like that is so fast and most people are telling me 100ipm to 130 I'm.
@@nsampson1738 what size and type of bit are you using and what material are you cutting. these are factors that matter. like I have a 0.25" amana tools specktra coated 2 flute down cut bit that I run at 214 ipm feed, 50 ipm plunge and ramp at 18000 rpm.
@@jasonlong30 I am using the Amana 3 flute down cut i think it is specktra coased too I also have the 1/8inch down cut 2 flute amana specktra coated bit too. I am mostly cutting mdf and baltic birch but I plan on going to the lumber yard tomorrow and try some hardwoods.
Hard to tell how well it is cutting without sound. With that shallow if a cut I bet you could go faster. I do mine at 250ipm 0.0625 and could go faster. Looks like the same bit.
Thanks for the input, yes I don't like to have sound. people complain about that so I turn the sound off when cutting but yes it definitely seemed like I could hit 400 ipm no problem.
Good video, thanks
So the higher the feed per min. The faster it will travel. ?? Whats a good speed for cast acrylic ??
tring to figure out my onefinity cnc
wow I can't believe it gets these speeds we just got our onefinity last week and i am struggle with feeds and speeds
what software are you using to create your g-codes.
I use Fusion 360 and I use the feeds and speeds recommended by the bit supplier.

also I cut only at 1/8" to 1/4" of depth for each pass max.

how you getting these speeds is it your motors I do not own one yet
This machine is pretty stout. Plus i was cutting really thin so you can push it faster.
Curious why you didn't start at the center with an Offset strategy?
I actually used pocketing instead of surfacing. it give me more options in setting. Either way works still smooth and flat.
