    So my girlfriend went into town with the kids to give me a break and I log into RUclips and see you posted another video!!🤗 The part about being a closet eater really hit home. I would eat dinner while cooking and then still eat dinner with everyone else! I’d eat again when everyone went to sleep. I went to great lengths to overeat without people knowing but I’m too embarrassed to share on here. I was so sneaky, my husband couldn’t figure out how I was gaining weight. 😑Being honest with yourself is so important. I actually had a personal trainer for 2 1/2 months before starting Zepbound and lost ZERO pounds. I was undoing the work I was putting in by constantly overeating. 😢 I felt that because I was working out, I deserved and could afford to eat the extra food. I wasn’t being honest. I relate to 100% of everything you said, I just don’t want to leave you a whole book in your comments. I 😂😅 But I love this and the longer format!!! Thanks for sharing b your heart and opening up a little more. You are definitely not alone! 🙏🏽🩷🩷🩷

      😭 This community really makes me feel like I’m not alone. I spent so much time lying to myself/being in denial and trying to blame everything else but myself and my actions. Thank you for sharing with me, I know it’s not an easy topic to discuss publicly. I think it’s so important for all of us, especially those of us that are creating content, to be able to share these things so others don’t feel like they’re the only ones who are struggling. I didn’t personally know anyone that shared these struggles and for so long, I felt so alone and like a complete failure. My hope and goal is for this toxic cycle to be broken for good for all of us! ❤️❤️❤️

    Hi, I’ve just come across your channel. I used to have an eating disorder as a young teenager - 15-16. I was underweight. I was slim all the way through my 20s and early 30s. I met my husband, got married, had our daughter and was diagnosed with an under active thyroid. That didn’t help, however, after years of depriving myself for years, I started to enjoy food and drank too much. We’re all human hun. I’m going to cut down on my drinking as I think that’s the main thing for my weight increase. However, when I was 16 and ran for ages every time I ate something, that wasn’t normal, I was slim and now I think if these same people saw me now. You’re right hun, we have to be real with ourselves ❤❤❤. Thanks so much for sharing 😊xxx

      @@clairesingleton7399 thank you so much for sharing. ❤️ We never know what someone is experiencing and I believe we should all have compassion for others. I’m happy that you were able to overcome your eating disorder and I hope that your thyroid issues can be resolved. I stopped drinking in September because it got to a point where no matter how little I drank, I’d have major stomach issues the next day and overall just feel terrible. I know that I don’t know you but I still have faith that you can do anything you put your mind to. You’ve got this! ❤️❤️❤️ Also, thank you so much for watching.

    Wow Taisha… this was so profound. I’ve struggled so badly with BED. I didn’t know about it til I started Zepbound and started seeing a dietitian. The sneak eating, double meals and being home alone with food was huge for me. You said something that I hadn’t thought about and that’s trigger foods. I need to look more into that because , for me, that’s sweets and desserts. I feel so bad after eating them. And I thought I could do it I moderation but it took this video for me to realize that no, these are trigger foods for me and I need to learn how to manage that. You gave me lots to think about. And please know you are not alone in your previous experience. I’ve been there. And that’s why this medication is scared to me. I’m breaking generational cycles here. Thank you and God bless.

      @@adrialucca4941 Adria, you’ve got this! I was hoping this video would be well received because I know how easy it is to be in a state of denial especially when it comes to looking in the mirror. I did it for so long I believe it was ingrained in me. Zepbound has been a tremendous help with me breaking those habits. I have definitely stayed away from trigger foods because historically I have not done well with moderation. I’ve seen so many creators still struggling with food noise and binging so I know that it’s still possible on this medication. This is why I decided that there are just foods that I’m not going to eat anymore because it’s just not worth it. I’ve felt enough years of guilt around food and I’m over it. You will absolutely break generational cycles and I’m excited for you and your journey! ❤️❤️❤️

    I have got to say it. You are one of my favorites, you are passionate, realistic, calm, have lots of common sense. I just love to listen to you. I just listened to this young lady who went on about, don’t exercise, eat out, don’t count calories you don’t have to so anything the medicine will do it for you. I was so I upset at this pisspoor message I almost unsubscribed! I couldn’t bring myself to because I am older and believe strongly in the old way of ok let’s agree to disagree. Then I see your video and breathe a deep sigh of relief 😘. YES you go girl, thank goodness there are people like you to give someone the correct information! 😅

    Thanks for covering a hard topic. I definitely ate more than I thought especially when I would mindlessly eat when reading or watching tv. Next thing you know the bag or box of useless carbs was empty and then I would get up still searching for that "thing" to satisfy me because that whole bag of useless carbs didn't "do it for me" and the food noise was gnawing at me. Like you and many others, eating when no one else was around was a hazard of my own making. Yet, denial was easy if the scales didn't show anything on the next day. Then when it did, I would be shocked because there was a delay in my weight going up. Starting in April, 2020 two pounds, became 5. Five pounds became 10, etc. Forty pounds later, I go to my doctor in March of 2024 and my BP was staying higher, liver enzymes out of wack from all the sugar I was eating and I now have a non-alcoholic fatty liver, finding out I am now pre-diabetic and my weight was now in the obesity category. Wake up call from the denial. The shock of the liver problems was the final straw to change. Talk about shock value! Yes it was and I am so thankful my doctor suggested a weight loss help called Zepbound. I still have to do the work of eating healthy, choosing proteins first, water and exercise, but it kills the head noise and assists me with satiety. What a blessing.

    • @simply_taisha
      @simply_taisha  3 месяца назад

      I’m so happy that you have an incredible doctor that offered you a life changing tool. The reason I had the biopsy of my liver in September of 2020 was due to issues and non alcoholic fatty liver. The biopsy caused the liver hematoma and that was the first time that I really knew I needed to change. It lasted for a while and then my old habits crept back in slowly but surely and I gained most of the lost weight back. I’m thankful that I advocated for myself in February and decided to see a telehealth provider who didn’t fight me on the prescription. The rest is hopefully history. I’m happy to be on this journey with you! I believe with some work on our ends, we’ve got this! ❤️❤️❤️

      @@simply_taisha Yes! Another thing from your video...I can't keep doing this.
