defending is way harder than attacking... i take whole fifa23 to learn attacking. but until now i havent truly master defending+ pressure. because defending is learn thru experienced and facing many different type of opponents
Well if i understand. When the enemy player runs and you are behind you can press x to slow him and pull shirt . You can press x when you run and your enemy is beside you to make him lose his balance and take the ball . If your enemy is towards you you can play with l2 and stand tackle defending
As some ranked in the top 100 of fifa before esports became a niche, this game is a shell of the core gameplay of fifa 10-13. It's borderline junk. Why would they bother with income guaranteed by FUT players? ea have become lazy and this game DESPERATELY needs a new engine. It sometimes feels like you are kicking around a medicine ball, there is no zippyness.
I used to be able to defend with 2 players at ones,(L1 for most people, R2 for me) 1 player automatically always moving towards the ball with no indicator on its head then I moved the other player that I'm actually in control of to a position of my choice, usually behind. My problem now is that the player that usually automatically moves towards the ball will suddenly stop and an indicator can be seen on it's head that changes color and fades away. Anyone knows how to fix this? I want that automatic follower dude to keep following and I don't want no cursor on it's damn head lol

Lmfao. If you see a solution, let me know. This is my problem. The runner's cursor changes from green to orange and the guy just stops! Absurd
Its literally a cooldown you cant infinetly push R1 button to follow the attacker
