Both the Razer wins didn't feel like it straight up beating it. The first was definitely issues with the arena. The second one Pussycat did a lot more, but it felt like the frame getting bent onto the tire did all the work.

He showed me how to drive it and how it worked, was great fun. One of my fondest memories.
For such a simple, if a little unorthodox machine, Pussycat is such a fun robot to watch in the arena. For years I never thought much of it until I started revisiting its fights on youtube in the years leading up to the reboot.
Pussycat and Razer unique but similar as well. They're both the only robot of their weapon type (razer the crusher and pussycat the saw) to make the weapons truly destructive and gain lot's of victory
No doubt that the pilote is really good and the bot is resilient. It just needs its weapon to be more powerful and it would be a nightmare for its oponents.
Yeah it seems like it loses alot of power because the saw just ends up making the bot itself flip over. It has no leverage for the saw to cut through anything.
In the beginning, quite a few robots had cutting discs as a weapon, but they were never really affective and people simply moved on to big heavy flywheels. But pussycat kept their spinning blade, improved it and took out some very dangerous competitors with it. It is not a co-incidence that it beat hypno disc and razer in the a near identical manner. Those original Pussycat boys meant business. The weapon was quite literally like a cats claws tearing into you. Very underrated robot imho. Look at how bad it chopped razer up in that series 4 fight. Admittedly razer couldnt move, but that was probably the most damage ive ever seen done to razer in UK Robot wars (not sure about overseas).
We should get Stinger's closest battles, it had a ton seeing as it was kinda the wobbofett (I hope I spelled that right) of robot wars; every time you hit it, it just retaliated with another blow.
I often remember robots just getting stuck on something or breaking down.....was kinda underwhelming when you wanted a battle to see which one was actually designed better.
Love the Razer team throwing an absolute hissy fit when Pussycat destroyed Razer, they caused so much destruction to their opponents but couldn't take it in return 😂
So unique to use the blade for taking of antenna, wheels, and slowly trimming down. No wonder they were annihilator champions, the most grindy robot team ever. Every bot in this video, even the ones where it went to judges were moving slowly, and so haggered on close inspection.
Pussycat admittedly got very lucky in some of these fights but it is a good design that has done legitimate damage against some good robots like panic attack and Thermidor 2
