My take is - every one wants to date Jin Young. The girls had their eyes locked on JY from the moment he stepped into Inferno. Even the men found him intimidating.

I didn't expect the season 1 guy would get lots of hate. My fav was actually the chef. He was pretty nice and caring. I think he wasnt stalking her. They only have a few days on the show so once u find interst in someone def should stick to it. Im not sure bec the hate that is why many guys on S3 are not that expressive beside GH. Prob why he stood out among the girl.

Tbh, I felt like jinyoung felt threatened by the new season bc it garnered more attention and it’s full of characters. He just posted a pic of si 2 team and hajeong posted a picture of si 3 with same song😂

When the lead staff told the media that Gwanhee also applied for S2, Dex was like ahh. Imagine they both on the same season, but Dex is very competitive so...

Maybe some light hearted competition but I doubt he's feeling "threatened". Out of all contestants, his entertainment career has advanced the most since his appearance. Rookie of the year, MBCs favorite child, multiple show castings, hosting his own YT interview show, etc. etc. he's also a pretty down to earth guy outside of his contestant persona - I'm sure he was just reminiscing on nostalgic memories

I dont think so, even if for example, Gwanhee was able to get in to SI2 , Jim Young would still be the protagonist, i dont know where Gwanhee would pick himself up to be more noticeable and popular to girls than Jin Young.. absolutely nonsence of you to compare Jin Young to a narcissistic and insecure Gwanhee😂🤣

Regarding why Youngjae teamed up with Jinyoung against Joongwoo, he already revealed in an interview, that the reason is that he knew about Seulki's feelings for Jinyoung, and wanted to help his friend (who he became very close to and talked a lot about, and who was cut off for editing).
About Nadine, it finally became clear that the shipper with Jinyoung was pure fiction.

Heyseon was as much a player as Gwanhee. Heyseon said at the beginning that she wanted to get to know all the men, but the commentators kept making excuses for her. Jinseok, minnoo, minkui, all made promises to stay with the person they first matched with but didn’t. But Gwanhee got beaten over the head over and over again for doing exactly what the other guys were doing. Gwanhee was constantly being psychoanalyzed by the two models and three comedians, who knew nothing about psychology. I don’t know if anyone noticed, but most of the commentators analysis were just so off. When they realized that they were wrong, they giggled and moved on.

Season 3 was unsettling for me. Watching the commentators tear apart another human being like that was alarming and sad. The commentators clearly didn’t like Gwanhee and spent most of their time tearing into him; they be little him, called him dense, a coward, a manipulator, and even talked about his parents. It was painful to watch. Gwanhee is socially ackward and he had trouble expressing himself verbally. Gwanhee wasn’t as polished as the other participants, who were comfortable in front of the cameras. All of the women were models and social influencers; and so were most of the guys. Gwanhee is the captain of his team and is constantly training and surrounded by males. The commentators were set in making Gwanhee the villain in the show and they succeeded. They deliberately misinterpreted every action, every word that Gwanhee uttered. Gwanhee never had a chance. The commentators job were to make the show exciting and confrontational and Gwanhee was the perfect pawn. So sad. Finally, I would never let someone I care about join a show like this. This show is a reputation and career killer. I’m afraid season 3 was my last season, I’m moving on. The show made me too uncomfortable. How could anyone claims to know someone after only a week. So many experts on Gwanhee, it’s uncanny. Gwanhee constantly needed confirmation because I think he has been hurt in a relationship before. I work with people who are like Gwanhee and have been hurt and they exhibit the same behavior. What really got me so annoyed is when the commentators were cheering participants who were being callous and rude to Gwanhee. I think the commentators owe Gwanhee an oplogy for the way they encouraged viewers and participants to hate him, when they’ve only known the man for just a week.
