Realized afterward, the inside door handle can be removed with just a 10mm socket with a ratchet and extension. If you do it that way the T40 Torx driver is not necessary.
Thank you very much for this video. I ordered my replacement mirror specifically from you because of this video. And was very impressed with your prices, packaging and service.
I consider myself so blessed to have stumbled across your website a few years ago..... Always so helpful and always good quality parts thank you so much 🙏
+chrisgould117 Thank you for the great reply. We love to empower our customers by showing you how-to perform your own auto repairs while installing our high quality auto parts. Have a great day! 1aauto.com
I own a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 without power mirrors or windows. I didn't need the T40 Torx Driver. I used a screwdriver to remove the Window Handle Retainer Clip. I've seen a video where a guy also uses a rag to catch the end of the clip and pull it off. Then I used a Phillips screw driver to remove 4 phillips screws and the 10mm socket to remove the 3 nuts off the back of the Mirror. I couldn't find a manual driver side mirror that could be delivered next day so I bought the heated mirror version and it worked just fine.

I watched another video some time back when I replaced my mirrors and it did not have me remove the entire door panel. Your way is sooooo much better and easier. Wish I had had this one available then.
I watched this video once and it was a really easy replacement. Mine was passenger side but all went well. The visor gave me a bit of grief getting the broken mirror off but otherwise an easy fix. Thanks for the video.
First of all I am no mechanic but I needed to change my mirror and thanks to your awesome video I was able to not only change my mirror but boost my confidence lol
+TheOilerguy69 Congratulations on the successful repair. We're glad the video helped you out. For anyone else looking to replace their mirror, 1A Auto offers the part here: www.1aauto.com/1A/Mirrors/Dodge/Ram-1500-Truck/1AMRP00051?RUclips&CTA%20Comment&ATony
Just received my part today and it took me longer due to losing my adapter and t40 inside the door panel but t30 works to. Im a newbie and thanks for uploading videos on a 08 dodge ram
Great video watched it so see how hard this would be.. I have changed mirrors before and they were a little harder to do. Watched this one time and had the job done in less than 15 minutes.. Thank you for the video.
Exactly what I needed to see because I know I would not of looked at the bottom for those 2 screws and would have ended up breaking the tabs. Thank You

Great tutorial. Thanks 1A Auto! the mirror came in today. I reviewed the tutorial and headed out to grab the recommended tools at 1:55. The replacement is complete, my tools are put away and I'm posting a rave review at 2:18. You guys Rock! Thanks again 1A Auto for quick service and clear instruction :-)
@@1AAuto Danimals comment included "The replacement is complete,..." 1aauto says "Please let us know how the repair comes out!" I think Danimal already answered that question. LOL. Great video though and will attempt to replace my mirror tomorrow. I prefer 1aautos videos over most others. Great job.

Thanks for this, but just FYI, at the 4:07 and 5:35 mark, your body completely blocks what you’re doing. I think I can figure it out though. Just something you might think about for future vids.
Just curious but in the beginning it shows T40 bit as needed, the guy doing the install says T40, and then the commentator says T30. I'm assuming it's a T40?
Hi Kyle, We currently do not have one yet. I'll see if we can add this to our line-up for you guys. We do carry a replacement interior rear view mirror. Here's a link to them if you would like to take a look at them. goo.gl/DDk7dx

Great video, worked perfectly.....one thing though, one of the plastic arms on the clip that holds the mirror on that you show @3.22 in the video broke off (I have a manual mirror). Will the bolts be sufficient in holding the mirror in place long term?
I’m getting frustrated I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 I have the side mirror glass only that I want to replace and I can’t for the life of me get the mirror glass to pop off. Do you have a video on this or can you give me some tips on this? Thank you!
Good instructional video. Difficult to hear the audio when the presenter was not facing the camera. Probably needs a auxiliary microphone on his person.
It may be okay, if there's an issue that crops up with any of the features, you may need to secure it a little better. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Great learning video as usual. I had to replace my Ram 1500 mirror and thanks to 1-A, I saved a lot of money doing it myself. 👍
Did this yesterday on the passenger side on our 2003 Ram 1500. 20-25 minutes tops. Thanks for the great video.
