I'm a die hard Liverpool fan. That penalty was worth it to be fair. It dragged from outside the box into the box, which makes it a penalty. Besides, the fatigue from traveling from their various countries back to Anfield made their game a bit dull and less sharp.

I know Jota has had injury concerns in the past, but his most recent is an outlier, in my opinion. I believe he probably sustained cracked or broken ribs when the Chelsea player fell on top of him. It wasn’t an injury from the act of playing football, it was a fluke that he was pancaked into the turf. I think he deserves the chance to be back in the starting 11, but I also see the merit in looking elsewhere, especially because we know how frustrating Darwin can be. To have Jota sustain another injury AND Darwin’s form to continue to fall would not be good for our attack.
yea we need that one true scoring forward we can count on - Jota could be the guy that comes in as a 2nd option or super sub. He just won't ever be fit enough to start every match. some guys, like Salah, are just built different and can sustain knocks and bruises. others like Jota get touched and break something.
Think Cherki would be a great buy for a cam and cover for wings, but don’t think he could ever be a replacement for salah on the wing because Cherki Lacks sprinting speed, he’s quick with his feet and dribbling but can be slow in a straight line

I understand your argument over Wataru Endo, especially is Bajcetic comes back from Salzburg having progressed from more regular game time. However given Bajcetic's very worrying injury record and the extreme difficulty of finding a good enough player in the market to rotate with Gravenberch in the 6 (imo zubi is the only player who is good enough and also "available") Endo is extremely valuable as back up. It would be very nice to see Morton get a chance as back up but with Slot even less confident in him than he is in Endo, it is likely to see him loaned out or possibly even sold in the summer. I dont however understand your argument over selling Ali in the summer. Liverpool were willing to let Kelleher go this past summer to grant his wish of becoming a no 1 but no suitable bids were made. The signing of Mamardashvili makes it more clear that Kelleher will leave. In January, I'd focus on young talents like Milos Kerkez as a long-term Robertson replacement, Nico Williams for attacking depth, and Carlos Baleba or Zubimendi to strengthen midfield stability. I prefer Rayan Cherki over Marmoush for creativity, but if possible, bringing both would be ideal to bolster the attack. These moves could give us the edge to win the league this season. If FSG are serious to win this season.

Would be good to get Zubimendi but seems like Real Madrid is also looking at getting him and it may be difficult as he would likely prefer to remain in Spain. When he gets these contact injuries he is out for too long likewise Becker is out for too long with muscle injuries also. As much as I love Becker as our number one you just never know when the next lengthy layoff is coming.

The penalty on Sunday was given because the first contact was made on the line at the knees... Certain angles seem to show this. Thus, a foul on the line of the box equals a penalty... Those are the rules. Oliver didn't even say it was in the box, he simply said he couldn't make out whether the contact was outside or on the line... Because of that, the ref stuck with his on field decision. Remember, PGMOL refs aren't allowed to officiate abroad for the UAE anymore, so they're not in City's pocket anymore...
I totally agree on the incomings, could not disagree more on the outgoings, first I think Alisson Becker is one of the best goalkeepers I have ever seen, Caoimhín Kelleher starts for 90% of Premier League teams, but, he is not Alisson Becker , for example the Saka goal Kelleher concedes against Arsenal, I think Becker anticipates Robbo getting skinned and rushes out and smothers that shot before Saka knows what's happening. I have never in over 50 years of watching football ever seen a goalkeeper better at one on ones than Ali. Ali played 32 games for Liverpool last season, way less than we would like, but, if he is only available for 32 games, I want him for those 32 games, because he is the best. Second, Darwin is just not clinical enough at No.9, Jota is the most clinical finisher we have, I don't see replacing him with another winger making any sense! I really like Harvey Elliot but he is also starting to look a little injury prone, I would sell Harvey to bring in Rayan and I would sell Kostas Tsimikas to bring in Milos, his corners are really good, but in all other aspects he is a bit of steep drop off from a match fit Robbo. If we have to get rid of third Endo makes sense, but I would miss the dude, I really like his tenacity and in certain games and situations that can be really valuable.

Great video and analysis! For me, I'd keep Salah, Trent, Virgil, Alisson, and Jota, while giving Núñez another season to prove himself. Wataru can be sold. In January, I'd focus on young talents like Milos Kerkez as a long-term Robertson replacement, Nico Williams for attacking depth, and Carlos Baleba or Zubimendi to strengthen midfield stability. I prefer Rayan Cherki over Marmoush for creativity, but if possible, bringing both would be ideal to bolster the attack. These moves could give us the edge to win the league this season. If FSG are serious to win this season.

Kelleher wants to go. He wants to be a 1st GK and not a 2nd. The club has already indicated that it is willing to let him go with a right price. A shame, but he would not want to be 2nd GK again behind Mamadashvili (probably wrong spell). Prefer Marmoush. Seems more dynamic as a replacement for Jota. Would be good to get Zubimendi but seems like Real Madrid is also looking at getting him and it may be difficult as he would likely prefer to remain in Spain. If we can't get Zubimendi, we still need to look at someone else for that position. It is nervy to think if Ryan gets injured and what problems we will have as we don't have anyone to replace him.

When he gets these contact injuries he is out for too long likewise Becker is out for too long with muscle injuries also. The penalty on Sunday was given because the first contact was made on the line at the knees... Certain angles seem to show this. Thus, a foul on the line of the box equals a penalty... Those are the rules. Oliver didn't even say it was in the box, he simply said he couldn't make out whether the contact was outside or on the line... Because of that, the ref stuck with his on field decision. Remember, PGMOL refs aren't allowed to officiate abroad for the UAE anymore, so they're not in City's pocket anymore...

I totally agree on the incomings, could not disagree more on the outgoings, first I think Alisson Becker is one of the best goalkeepers I have ever seen, Caoimhín Kelleher starts for 90% of Premier League teams, but, he is not Alisson Becker , for example the Saka goal Kelleher concedes against Arsenal, I think Becker anticipates Robbo getting skinned and rushes out and smothers that shot before Saka knows what's happening. I have never in over 50 years of watching football ever seen a goalkeeper better at one on ones than Ali. Ali played 32 games for Liverpool last season, way less than we would like, but, if he is only available for 32 games, I want him for those 32 games, because he is the best. Second, Darwin is just not clinical enough at No.9, Jota is the most clinical finisher we have, I don't see replacing him with another winger making any sense! I really like Harvey Elliot but he is also starting to look a little injury prone, I would sell Harvey to bring in Rayan and I would sell Kostas Tsimikas to bring in Milos, his corners are really good, but in all other aspects he is a bit of steep drop off from a match fit Robbo. If we have to get rid of third Endo makes sense, but I would miss the dude, I really like his tenacity and in certain games and situations that can be really valuable.
I agree on Alisson - one of, if not the best to ever do it. Incredible player but he’s breaking down. Injury prone. We need someone who can stay in and be in rhythm with the team.
