Hey Matt! He he, don`t be scared of higher BPM`s, just find a way to work with it.
@@EliteBackingTracks Y'alls comments gave me an idea, so I actually increased the playback speed an extra 25% (via the 'settings' feature), and though I still prefer the regular speed, it was kinda fun ! I've been using that (and others) track for learning bass, and this is a great pattern, that's more interesting than a 3-chord pattern, and gives a lot of room to improvise between root notes.

Can you use the B minor scale over this? Still trying to wrap my head around relative minors
The b minor scale is exactly the same as the d major scale, so yes.
I suggest using a box of the d major pentatonic scale - 1st string 10th and 12 frets, 2nd string 10th and 12th frets, and 3rd string 11th fret, to get you started. Try bending both 12 fret notes up a full step!

i m learning piano :o So its D, i play D scale ( gamme) so when Bm is coming, ihave to change ? i cant stay on D
You may have already figured this out, but Bm is the B chord in the D scale. If you play a Bmaj chord it won’t be in the D scale. So just play B, D and F# together. All those notes belong to the D scale and make a Bm chord when played together.
