This tour was filmed in June. Our site was #72 which is considered a buddy site. Upon setting up camp, we noticed a large split in the tree just behind our rig. It was large enough that I felt it completely necessary to move well enough over that it wouldnt become a problem. We contacted the Park office, spoke to several people. Nothing was done about the tree.
To our dismay, we saw on the news that a tree had fallen on a camper at an unspecified campground. I knew immediately it was West Branch, site 72. The tree fell just 3 days after we had pulled out.
Upon reading the article I immediately reached out to the owner of the trailer that was totaled. I felt guilt, sadness and anger knowing that it could have been prevented. That could have been us.
The folks at Adventure Bandits took the whole situation in stride and I tell you what, they are remarkable people. Life is certainly an adventure full of ups and downs. They kept their head and spirits high. Heres a link to the video they put out so you can hear their side of the story.

Awesome video brother! Next month we’re staying at Collier Seminole State Park, In Florida. Any suggestions for these newbies. I’ll be uploading a video on our channel. Keep those adventures coming, safe travels. We’re following
I haven't been to that park but have been in the Naples area quite a bit. A few years back I lived in the St Pete/Tampa area. If you're into Kayaking at all, there are a ton of places to go with the Manatees. The Beaches are pretty nice. Always seemed way less crowded than the Clearwater Area. Plenty of trails to hike on! Wife loved the Botanical Gardens.
@@JaZu That sounds great 👍🏽 Would love to go kayaking. My boys would love that, specially with manatees!
