I love how they're giving the perception of the events of the world from all the different perspectives of everyone involved. Like last season, a few episodes of that then the sides come together and things go crazy, but we understand why from everyone's point of view.
4:35 Honestly, atp, I'm pretty certain a main underlying theme of the story is about the unfounded intolerance and hatred found in the real world. It is another interesting layer to dissect about this series.

I can understand the opinion that for those who prefer flashy action, it is a constant source of boredom
However, one of the main reasons why I like Slime is because of its detailed setting
Since it is based on a novel, there are many detailed descriptions, such as the explanation of the worldview, the movements of each force, the thoughts of each character, and their intentions for actions in battle
Even in the battle scenes, the understanding of the thoughts and intentions of each character is an element that makes this work enjoyable many times over
It is my opinion that this anime is not recommended for those who just want to enjoy the extreme things without considering the details
Mushoku Tensei, Frierein, and HxH are dialogue heavy stories but are written better than this season

I think Slime could have had a better way of presenting itself as an animation, but unlike other animations, it focuses on the founding of a nation, becoming its leader, and governing it
Therefore, meetings are indispensable, but I felt it would be harsh to criticize them too much, since their nature makes it difficult to expand the range of expression, and I believe that they are also a part of the process that acts like a short break for busy animators

People generally find character driven dialogue more engaging but slime has always focused very intently on all the aspects of creating a country which of course will include meetings like this. The series is and always was made for people who care about that stuff, not for the general massive audience it ended up gaining

Slime is a leader of a nation, so of course there will be a lot more meeting. It not an action anime. Never has been. And all of this meeting is necessary to continue for this plot and next plot. Season 2 has over 6 episodes of them just talking. So this is shorter than I expected. So if people complain about not understanding of what going on, or just confuse of what happening then that your guys fault for not paying attention.

Especially because the archbishop was taken out after delivering the message and his story from the battle, he served his purpose smearing Rimuru so now he dies to keep him from telling the truth.
Honestly hard to tell who the main villain of this anime is, assuming there is a main main villain and not just seasonal villains until the end of the show.

@@lambda3952incorrect sir. The Anime follows the story from the LN. Most of the time the Manga is the same as the LN but sometimes it is not. When the Manga and LN diverges the anime follows the LN.
A great example of this is the walpurgis meeting. In the LN Shion claps Clayman before he evolved. In the Manga it is Milim not Shion. And as we all know the anime had Shion do it. I.e. The anime followed the LN.

Either way, it has long been confirmed that the anime is based off the LN not the manga. What makes it confusing is that the art style used for the anime actually is based from the manga. This was at Fuzes request I have even heard.

Completely disagree, its just the way this anime handles it is quite poor. This episode is how to do world building with a Yap session correctly, but the previous ones were not nearly as engaging.
