Married to an old Danish viking and being Scottish myself the lure of a wee dram has put Myken on our bucket list.

Congratulations on your brand new channel! Great video. Myken is definitely on my bucket list of places to visit. I like a good whisky (single malt), I like quiet- as in little traffic noise at night and I like people with big dreams and visions. :)

I am really fascinated by the positive and calm vibes there. Is there a way to live and work on Myken? I would do any job. Greetings from Germany
A sea lover sounds like just the right person! :-) It is definitely easiest to live in Myken for those who can take their job with them, or create their own. But it is also likely that the distillery will hire more people in the year to come, and there may be positions for seasonal work with the places offering accommodation or food. It may be a good idea to seek out all pages having to do with Myken on Facebook and Instagram, and follow these to see any opportunities. And it is also a good idea to come and visit, and see if you like it in person - when traveling (hopefully soon) becomes possible again.
@@roarlarsen Thank you for the response. I am currently a student (23 years old) and 100% convinced that I don't want to spend my entire adulthood in a crowded city within a system chasing false ideals. I will reach out to every channel I can find and come up with a plan to perhaps create a job.

Thanks! Yes, there are about 40 houses, most of them still owned by descendants of the original families from way back, and almost all are used regularly as holiday homes.
