Chris (running out of video ideas): The World's Batman the Ride Clones - By The Numbers
Thats when you know im dead
@@AirtimeThrills Or you could do "The World's Vekoma Boomerangs - By The Numbers". At least you have other types of boomerangs to spice things up, like inverted boomerangs, GIB's.
@@AirtimeThrills Before it comes to Batman clone by the numbers. A winners B&M - by the numbers would be fun. The #1 invert vs floorless vs wing vs dive.
@@ryanb9749don't forget flyers
I was expecting Raptor and Montu to completely top the pacing list. They feel so insanely fast.
*includes Dueling Dragons*:
*everyone liked that*
Dueling Dragons just hits different😔🤧
That's crazy that Patriot has better pacing than Afterburn
People seem forget that Patriot is a quality ride
It's also crazy that Batman clones are second in pacing overall, but then again, they are whippy...
I'm glad you included all of them, nobody ever talks about Monster.
Wtf is monster
@@1tsmyst1c21 The Raptor clone in France
One of the best B&M Models coupled with my favorite series on RUclips; should be in for a treat
I use these videos as a reminder to have dinner
Glad i can help
nice it's like 1 a.m. over in Germany when he uploads xD
Nemesis is legendary and Black Mamba is up there but O'ziris is just really really special, with plenty of little surprise moments (hidden airtime anyone?) that make it my favourite I've ridden so far
Love that you always include the Dragons when you talk about inverts. Gone but not forgotten :(
Yep. I miss those two.
It’s crazy. Montu still stands as the best invert, yet all the numbers should have it as a mid tier invert. I grew up going to BGT years before even Kumba and was built. It was amazing, then Montu was built. I was a kid then and def GP, didn’t even really understand how good Montu was back then. Took 20 years later for me to realize that most enthusiasts rank it as the best invert in the country.
Honestly I love Great Bear. That helix really makes the ride so much better as you are going in with a good amount of speed, which makes the drops more thrilling.
Especially when you are going into those inversions with that much wind in your face and speed as well as the loud B&M track, it feels like the closest I’ve been in a flying jet.
It is my second favorite invert with my number one being Banshee.
Hey, I think it isn't a fair fight for the red dragon...it's a full second longer than the blue dragon.
I love this series! Seeing as I’m a stats and coasters geek, it’s easy to see why. You’ve done great with the in depth breakdown, Chris. Keep it up!
3:26 sure it's one of the smallest and slowest but it's definitely the whippiest one. You fly through those inversions. Don't let the hight and speed stop you.
Also my favourite invert is Oziris at parc asterix. It's better than nemesis. What a sick ride overall
I love B&M inverts so much, awesome job! These are all on my very high bucket list, both US and International!
Yes, I've been waiting for this ^^ My favorite coaster model and my favorite coaster youtuber :-)
I’ve been binge watching your videos all day that I didn’t even realized you posted! Thank you for the content! 😆
Dam girl, you must have a boring life
I love the B&M invert model. I remember as a kid riding Ninja at SFMM and loving that. But when they opened their Batman the Ride (I had no idea that it was a clone when I was a kid) my mind was blown. The idea of doing inversions while underneath the track and having your legs freely dangling just seemed so extreme to me at the time. And the first time I rode it I couldn't believe how cool it was.
It's been a while since then and coasters have gotten a lot more extreme but I still love a good B&M invert for their intensity. They also make me nostalgic for my childhood when I was first blown away by them.
6:38 Most of the Intamin impulse coasters would argue that! R.I.P. Volcano: The Blast Coaster!
Congrats on 300 videos! I really have loved your recent content dude!
Dang has it really been 300? Thats crazy
Awesome job on this very informative
Amazing video, as always! Hope you can do one with B&M hypers!
I only ridden Black Mamba and thought it was insane and huge fun. Really looking forward to ride some other inverts soon
The only one I've ridden of these inverts, is Black Mamba... But it's a lot of fun! Phantasialand is a lot of fun!!! If you stay at the Matamba hotel, the park entrance goes thru the loop of the roller coaster!
I'm loving these by the numbers videos
Always glad to see some talk about Pyrenees. My favorite is Montu, but I think Pyrenees and Katun look like the best
I love this series, it's so entertaining to hear about so many different rides. I feel like you should use a different number for pacing. Average speed would probably work for some models, but for others maybe you should include elements per second or changes of force per second in the calculation.
Yiassss! Another video by you ❤️
You should do this for flyers!
@Ken Norcott More B&M Flyers than there are Intamin prefabs.
You could probably do all the B&M flyers, Flying Dutchmans and Zamperla Volares in one video. Oh and F.L.Y.
Too depressing; they're all too short.
awesome video. I was kind of surprised by some of the ranking. My favorite invert so far has to be Alpengiest fallowed very closely by Montu. I really miss the dragons, fire side being the best side over ice but ice side was still good. Great bear was good but seemed to be slow in places. Then there is silver bullet which is good but i think its that drop that kind of kills it for me the rest of the layout is good though. Of course the batman close always offer up a good ride. I really want to get on Banshee some day and especially Nemesis.
Afterburn in the back row is my 3rd favorite coaster I’ve ever rode, behind intimidator (carowinds) and fury 325. Like afterburn has decent air time but the most insane g’s. 5g’s around the batwing into the tunnel, it’s hard to tell that your graying out because the tunnel is pure grey but you can tell that your graying out. By far the best bnm invert. Only problem with afterburn is through the tunnel while your greying out is that it’s extremely loud like deafening loud (not actually but you know what I mean) and there’s a little but of head banging around the zero G roll. Overall purely amazing. And at my home park.
And carowinds is the only park I’ve been too bc it’s my home park
My favourite invert is definitely Monster at Walygator. The missing midcourse brakerun makes for an insanely intense second half if the ride has the potential to warm up. Especially during night where raptor would usually slow down to keep it's designed speed, Monster keeps hauling through the layout
I haven't gotten to ride nearly as many but my favorite is Rapter and I think it is because it was the first one I rode that went upside down when I was a kid so it has some nostalgia for me. :)
Why is Alpengeist Busch Gardens Williamsburg never mentioned in any of these inverted coasters? It is old but my first invert and one of my favorites. The head restraints were rough but I didn't care in the slightest
It was mentioned, at 8:05 he talks about it. Do you mean other youtubers?
@@David-gj9qr I know. I posted after that I should have waited. It's not mentioned a lot but I would stand in that line over and over all day to ride.
I guess yeah. I always listen for it but never hear or see anything about it. Maybe because it is a rather older coaster but reminds me of my childhood.
Loved the video! You should do dive coasters.
Love your list! I really need to ride CGA's Flight Deck!!!
On Top of that, I need to ride Nemesis and Katun and Black Mamba...
And any other international B&M Invert lol...
What a fantastic video
Building Hagrid wasn't worth losing the best paced invert lmao
My favorite is Talon. I remember it being a bit more intense than the other two I’ve ridden (Great Bear & Alpengeist)
Overall favorite? Tough call...either Banshee or Raptor. Banshee got the long stretched out layout...amazing night rides off in back of the park. Raptor was my first B&M way back in 1998. Still rides beautifully to this day!
iirc nemesis inferno has one of the longest pre-lift sections on any coaster, i think it had the longest when it opened but of course saw the ride exists in the same park and then a lot of rmcs have long pre-lifts too
Banshee is smooth and fun but i like my home coaster Montu at Busch Gardens. I live across the street from there. It just reminds me of Ancient Egypt that i learned from school. So yea Montu is my favorite coaster out of all B&M Invert coasters.
(i passed learning about ancient egypt already im learning about ancient greece now. But im about finished with Greece so yea)
All of these Inverted Coasters looks awesome! Except for some.
Raptor being the top was surprising. And it's so intense was a shock for the slow pacing. Still an awesome ride nonetheless
Love your videos. Personally I have only ridden one which is montu at Busch gardens Tampa This is cause I live in Australia and went to Tampa in 2017. I have nothing to compare it too so I assume they are all good. They started demolishing dueling dragons when I got their :(
Volcano should’ve been called Star Trek Nemesis: Inferno.
Hey Chris, could we see a video of you ranking your favorite/least favorite coaster entrance signs?
Yeah, Raptor has that long, drawn-out rise up into the MCBR that hurts its pacing stat, but I for one love that upward helix in the middle of the ride - 360-degree views of the midway and marina!
Woot, Raptor squad! Love that ride!
I will say that Alpengeist has a new computer system and ride program so that would likely drastically change the pacing rank! No more hold brake up top, and very little midcourse braking. There is some dynamic lift speed stuff now though.
If they got rid of that mid course break run that should fix my only complaint with Alpengeist. In the beginning the mid course brake run wasn't so strong and it was even better than it already is.
6:38 Banshee is the fastest B&M invert, but Wicked Twister would still be the fastest invert overall right?
Legendary Twin Dragon 73.9 mph
Some of these shocked me
Afterburn is one of my all time favorite coasters period, but I do wonder if carowinds had gotten afterburn during the cedar fair days if they wouldn't have made it taller, longer and faster. Given it's short ride ride time it definitely whips you around the elements with no breaks
You know we got your back with our batman in ATL
Hungarian Horntail is my favorite of the ones I’ve ridden and I guess the pacing supports that haha
I coulda swore that both Montu and Alpie were longer duration than Raptor. That surprised me. Totally agree on the red side for DD.
I loveeee Raptor...really wanna get on Monster someday lol
New airtime thrills video! Yay
Ghoki

There was a lot of stats I was surprised about, especially the fact that Alpengeist's top speed is slower than Banshee's. It's nice knowing that Raptor has the longest prime ride time/duration, since it's the best (and 1st) B&M Invert I've ridden. Thanks for posting!
That's interesting to note about Banshee, that's actually possible because of the landscaping o King's Island... the deepest point of the coaster is the bottom of the Pretzel Knot Inversion and that's when it reaches it max speed of 68mph - not the first drop itself :)
@@viniciusstellium8012 Tat probably explains it. Now how is it that Diamondback reaches a top speed of 80 MPH with a 215' drop , yet Behemoth has a drop of 336' but only reaches a top speed of 77 MPH?
@@Paolo8772 That I can't know for certain, but I would guess climate and atmospheric conditions. If you look it up, it seems that Vaughan, Ontario is quite colder than Kings Island throughout the whole year, and some degrees make quite a difference in physics
Raptor is the only B&M invert I’ve been on, however the helix at the end is super intense, so I’m surprised to see it so low on the pacing
I was surprised to hear Raptor with the longest run time
B&M inverts are my favorite coasters, but ever since I was on Ice Dragon, I always hated cobra rolls on inverts. So I am not looking forward to the cobra roll on Alpengeist, (i was too short in 99) and I forgot what it was like on Raptor (2005). Great bear is my favorite however, and it's all because of that helix followed by the straight away after the loop and finished off with the snappy corkscrew and the roar in the midway. LOVE IT!
It's a smooth element on Alpengeist, way smoother than even the refurbished Hulk IMO.
You couldve mentioned that Monster has no midcourse which is why its so much faster and more intense at the end
how fitting that the 2 best Inverts are tied. Montu and Banshee :)
April fools idea: all slc’s you’ve been on from worst to best (or boomerangs)
I think its crazy that B&M coulda made a Hyper Invert, but chose not too with Alpengeist. Came back with Apollo's though.
I got a night ride leaving the park on Raptor and it was the most intense rollercoaster experience I have ever gotten. I don't know why it was flying so fast but my god if you get on Raptor at night it is a different breed
Chris, who knows Oziris may become one of you favourite inverts.
My favorite invert is Great Bear at Hershey Park, followed by Talon and Afterburn and Montu. Banshee would be number one if there was 3 differences: those vests are painful, it needs a flat spin instead of that weird inline twist, and the trains have a weird rattle in them.
Been on two of these. Nemesis and nemesis inferno. (Thorpe Park is a hour drive and alton towers is 4 hours) but I enjoy both. Nemesis more though.
Montu has been the best invert I got to do and I’m glad I’m only 45 minutes away from Busch Gardens Tampa
Rode Afterburn as my second inverted coaster and I think it is the most intense invert out there
I’ve only ridden Banshee but it’s my favorite coaster I’ve ridden
Of the B&M's I've been on ranked from least to most favorite:
5. Ice Dragon
4. Alpengeist
3. Raptor
2. Fire dragon
1. Afterburn
I also went to BGT several years ago, but Montu was down for rehab and opened back up a week after my trip.
I think you mean the worlds most underrated coaster type by the numbers.
You should do ranking every Stand up coaster you have ridden
I love the first drop on Alpengeist
Wow didn’t expect nemesis to be that low sir pacing, it feels really relentless
Raptor at the top of the list caught me off guard, ngl. I imagined Montu or Banshee taking that spot, but yeah Raptor is a large scale invert per Cedar Point's standards of course.
I only has more ride time because it has a much slower pace.
Surprised to see Raptor having the most ride time of any invert!
The ice dragon topping the pacing surprised me
Ever thought of doing an AMA live stream?
My favorite videos 😁😁
I’ve only rode 2 inverts: banshee and raptor. Out of those two, I can’t pick a fav :( I am shocked about raptor’s pacing as well!
You should make a video about your top 10 most ridden coasters.
Just a little suggestion, maybe include a mph/kph conversion when you show pacing, so we can get a reference of how they compare to the ride’s top speed
Katun is the most underrated invert imo
RIGHT!!!!! I don't know how Katun was ranked lower and why the hell Raptor was first, that so dam corny, after the break run, raptor pacing is boring and Montu should've been higher than Raptor.
That thumbnail gives me an existential crisis
I can't wait for the great escape giga invert with the inversion record
Good video Chris! Anyway, I know I'm late to comment, but its because I literally just thought of it. You actually technically forgot 2 B&M Inverts, both in China. Now, you might ne asking yourself, huh? There are 2 B&M Inverts in China I forgot about? Well, sort of. They're the only two family Inverts B&M has ever built, in fact the only two family coasters they've built period. So while they don't exactly fit on this list, it could've been fun to include them right at the beginning just for fun 😂
I was also saying that the first two inverts were at the Great America parks
I've ridden 2. Oziris and Black Mamba. People can say whatever they want about B&M inverts. I like them a lot.
My biggest problem with these videos is that there is too much information thrown at me too fast that I'm not smart enough to comprehend, but I still enjoy them, though.
That snap going in to the break run on Alpengeist is a deal breaker for me. It whips and snaps and will give you a brutal headache if you are not ready for it...
Top Gun at Carowinds is shockingly good, just really short.
I want to ride Montu and Raptor...
Montu is really good.
hard to say honestly. i've only done 4 b & m inverts ( alpengeist, montu, and both dueling dragons.) personal love goes to alpengeist since i love the 1st drop especially in the dead back, but also i adore montu, and have stated i could marathon it from open to close with no remorse. i have plans to visit sfog next year hopefully, and 2023 i hope to see cedar point and kings island for my 1st visit, and not gonna lie i want my 1st ride on banshee to be back row.
My favorite is by far Afterburn, but I also have not ridden Banshee and Montu
Phaethon be like "Hi, I'm also here."
Great vid as always, but as a CGA fan I gotta point out that Flight Deck is actually 2,260 ft
Edit: I think all of the lengths are consistently off by 10% or so.
Next video: every rollercoaster ever by the numbers
