- So Sony and Naughty Dog screwed up big time. As plot details about The Last of Us 2 circulated around the internet, and fans learned of the utter retardation bubbling under the surface for the once beloved company. And we're gonna talk about it.

There was an interview with Neil Druckman, where he describes having to fire a play tester, because he didn't like the Nadine character in Uncharted 4 and got quite vocal about it. Neil called it sexism...
In the interview this was right after Neil told about another employee about his idea for a character and the other employee asked: "Why can't it be a woman?" (how to fight sexism 101) and thus they changed the characters gender... to fit someone's preference... Apparently this isn't sexism...

The hypocrisy is Neil Druckman accepting and catering to a character gender preference in employee and calling an equivalent character gender preference sexism in another employee.
You either have the same standard for everyone or you are the one discriminating.
Then we can begin to ponder the sexist implication when a character gender preference is ok when it's a woman that has it and when the change is from a male character to a female, but not if it's a man having a character gender preference or a change from a female character to a male.
Or in other words... if we go by Neil Druckmans definition of sexism and aren't sexists ourselves, then Neil Druckman is (or also is) a sexist and allows sexist policies at his company.

I don't personally care. You could make a game with nothing but women fighting women, with guns made out of women, shooting bullets made out of tiny women, all on a big woman planet, in galaxy full of women stars and planets for all I care...
But if you yourself prefer a woman... then you absolutely do not get to complain or worse, call it sexist, that others prefer a man.

It seems sexist to want to desparately change a male to a female which seems sexist and inconsistent to Nathan's character considering the amount of people he has killed up until that moment. It seems unrealistic but if they bother to do that, then we have no choice do we?

I mean it was, ambition is like a gamble, because it COULD be a great idea but that's the gamble it could turn out awful. In this games case it turned out horrible.

Yet she helmed the first 3 games of the series, and ended up being successful. But they decided to get the influence of Anita Sarkeesian, who has no knowledge of the video game industry, over her.

My favorite part of the game is the switch of your playable character as its revealed that Abby was an american senator and presidental candidate infused with nanomachines and you switch go play a cyborg ninja as you battle both physically and mentally to see who’s cause is right and wrong, when your guard is down i think you’ll both agree, violence breeds violence but in the end it has to be this way

Honestly, while the leaks about the Seraphites' society & beliefs weren't entirely accurate, the version we learn about in the final product isn't much better imo. It's the same old generic "New world culture taught to vilify & reject the old world" concept that's been done to death (not to mention, better written) in countless post-apocalyptic fictions. Their alleged prophet's motto to "live simply", which is reflected in everything from their clothing to weapons, living off the land, and formulaic fanaticism, says it all.
They're essentially every primitive, backwards-thinking, modern technology-fearing cult that has ever existed, all wrapped into one painfully by-the-numbers amalgamation. Moreover, they aren't even consistent in their own ideology. They preach not relying on advanced tech., but will gladly make exceptions (because of course they will) to use guns among other "old world" devices when it suits their purposes + the plot. Their entire culture is little more than a series of surface-level zealot cliches with pretty graphics.
To be fair the idea of a virus of only women being wiped out would be interesting with only one girl left on the planet. LISA: the painful and LISA the joyful did those ideas pretty well

I remember playing The Last of Us 1, and sometimes the game would legitimately make me panic. Even tbough I was playing on the easy difficulty, the game was still somewhat challenging, and I found a few times where I was practically surviving off of almost nothing.
When I played The Last Of Us 2, I felt zero fear. I never encountered a situation where I couldn't handle myself with little to no effort, I hardly ever got stressed, and the easy difficulty never had any challenge. Please note, I played these two games within about a year or so of each other, so there wasn't a constant growth over 7 years or something like that. I practically played both games back to back.
I loved the story of part 1.
Part 2 wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either.
In all honesty, I had the most fun playing as Abby, because I discovered that without being ultra aggressive, the game is boring as hell to play.
Don't forget the straight up dystopian way Gearbox went after one of its biggest fans and most loyal fans a little bit befor Borderlands 3 was launched.

So he thought of an idea for a fungal zombie apocalypses game called Mankind where only women are infected. We sort of have a comedy zombie movie where women are only effected called Doghouse. It was made in 2009.
The Last of us 2 looks like dogshit(pun not intended). I still cant believe the same people that made crash 1 through ctr, the jak series and the uncharted series is making such a trainwreck like that

The lesbian thing is barely even a focus on the story. It was already established Ellie was into girls in the last game. Have you even played it? This video isn’t even entirely accurate as a lot of this stuff was changed.

Imagine you could work for ANY game dev. Most go into crunch. A ton of them go bankrupt, especially if managed by EA. Imagine you really loved TLOU1, you were offered a job at Naughty Dog, you looked forward to working with people like Amy Hennig... and then this all happens and Neil Druckmann is your boss.
This whole LAst of Us 2 thing was a mess. I never had any interest in the game to begin with but i made me lose respect for Sony for how they are going after youtube channels commenting on this mess.

Do you know why this video is so underrated and hidden behind all the other trash content on the platform, despite revolving around a very interesting subject? It's because you are against the propaganda preached by the media and the developers of RUclips. If you praised it, like Neil Druckmann for example, I'm certain you'd have over a million fake subscribers by now. Yep, it's true. The subscriber count is totally fake and very easily controlled by the developers of the platform. It doesn't even show the exact number of subscribers anymore...
One thing I've noticed that could just be me being a little too much suspicious but it's interesting nonetheless is that I've watched a huge tons of videos talking about the game in a negative way but somehow youtube hasn't recommended not even a single one of them at all. But if I watch one video about how to make flavored water or something I instantly get bombarded with all sorts of recommendations. I watched one video about red dead redemption 2 online and got right after a recommendation of Arthur's death with his dead face in the thumbnail. Somehow got literally ZERO recommendation on anything slightly negative towards tlou2

The first game was very compelling, intense, and fun. Too bad identity politics and overhype killed the sequel. Honestly, the first game felt like a standalone adventure; it needed no sequel at all.

I literally stopped playing the game after Joel died and didn't pick it up for months. When I finally decided to get back to it, it only got worse and worse. Then I just stopped and to this day I haven't finished it. And I figured out what happens in the end through RUclips and I'm glad I didn't play it anymore because once again it gets EVEN WORSE. l get what they were going for but good god they messed it up bad.

I, ALWAYS, hated the first TLOU. I never thought it was anything incredible or speial. It was just another zombie apocalypse movies (yes, movie) to me.
I'm with you there. I personally find TLOU is just as much as a boring slog like Horizon: Zero Dawn or God of War: Ragnarok.
Yeah, the first game's narrative is supported by the writing chops of Amy Henning and Bruce Straley, but on the gameplay-side it suffers from being the "interactive walking sim" trope that plagues a lot of modern action games.

Okay first of all there's male infected throughout the whole story hell even the Bloaters are male and this guy is trying to say "It's only females that get infected?" That makes zero sense naughty dog, it's a virus it infects everyone depending on their immune system also you can't just have random people kill off a main character in the first few minutes of the game, you wanna know what would've been more heartbreaking? If you play as Abby and Ellie the whole game and at the last few minutes Abby learns that Joel is the one that killed her father then at the last minute both Ellie and Joel are gone so now you gotta do a man hunt after them while at the same time you're running away from both the military and Abby knowing that around every corner you'll never be safe.

ive wondered if the of this game was rewritten? the main plot elements seem reaily good imo, but a lot of the things that happen in the story itself just screams rewrite to me.

Interesting how much of the plot details of Part II either changed since release, or were just misconstrued because of rumor.
Knowing the story now, it seems like some of the story is drastically different from the finished project.
I can't believe all of the stans on twitter proceeded to suck off this game even with all of the controversies surrounding it. They'd normally jump on a hate bandwagon without any second thought.

“Fucking Legacy of Kain” damn right! The quality of writing in those games is absolutely superb. Especially that conversation in Soul Reaver 2 by the Pillars (for reference: ruclips.net/video/7LK8Xawk7Y4/видео.html) easily destroys Druckmann’s attempts at writing.

Most likely just unused/older versions of plot threads from the main game (I.e. the cult still existing but not to the same degree as here, or even just the entire revenge shtick as a whole)
