I feel like the audience for DM’s videos are parents who are too lazy to raise their kids and teach them basic life lessons on their own so they just plop them in front of a screen with content claiming to teach “kid friendly life lessons”
99% of his audience are kids, you won't see him using complex plots when it's easier to put out dumbed down content and get the same amount of views or even more.

ngl tho there is one recent video from dhar mann that I genuinely liked, it was called “evil son falsifies dad’s will” it was probably the only video where the bad character (played by Chas) has good qualities and motives, and you actually understand both sides of the story and how the good guy and Chas feels. in the end both brothers forgive each other. It felt more realistic and seeing the bad guy change to the good guy without a stupid so you see story felt relieving.

I don’t know about you Mr.Duck of August but up till 8th grade we had “Bus, car, or pick up”. The latter required us waiting in the gym for our guardian/driver to walk up and ask for us directly. Out of maybe 1200 middle schoolers at my school a little over 100 we’re in the “pick up” category. I don’t really see a problem with his mother walking up to get him it happens a lot.
I was walking to school by myself from age 11, or when I started high school. Making kids wait till 13 to be allowed to walk home themselves is crazy.

So I haven't seen this particular video for myself, I WAS gonna make a Tumblr post calling out the video where an 11 year old genius offers at his own free will to do a bully's schoolwork (because bully threatened him) in exchange for three hundred dollars.
And believe it or not, the bully, the guy who threatened to BEAT UP this kid, was seen as in the RIGHT, because the genius kid is SCAMMED by the bully, and is somehow charged for cheating in school, and is ENSLAVED FOR THREE MONTHS. Meanwhile the bully gets everything he wants.
That's actually insane, and irresponsible. Helping others is WRONG?!
I ALMOST made that post, but I had too much going on with my life to make it.
So I guess the answer is NO, devoting your life to charity is seen as WRONG in Dhar Mann's eyes as well. Okay, well I guess the kid wanted to get paid, but come on, people work to get paid to pay bills! That's how the world works!
As for this video you covered, I will acknowledge that risking your life for views is messed up. I only have 27 followers on Tumblr, and I am actually HAPPY about that. I even got a DM that a followers that they liked my posts on calling out Dhar Mann, and that I inspired them with them. It was just ONE, and I'm thrilled to hear it.
But YES, I Agree, that school is messed up. The way Dhar Mann portrays it, is that doing something that'll hospitalize you is gonna entertain people, make them happy, and getting hurt is funny. I do agree that violence is NOT funny in real life. Not in the slightest. A lot of people get fiction and reality messed up, and how both aspects should inspire each other on what to and what not to do. Fiction? You can get away with violence, not because it's funny, but because there are a ton of imagination possibilities with it. That's why a lot of people don't react to violence in fiction the same way they'd do with reality, because they know it's fiction, and therefore not real. Reality? The reality is that it's dangerous. And you shouldn't do it AT ALL.
I cannot imagine ANYONE thinking someone almost DYING is COOL AT ALL. ESPECIALLY not to this degree.
Another thing I noticed is that Dhar Mann NEVER seems to want to explore the idea that someone could ACTUALLY die from their actions, let alone end up in the hospital. Sometimes that itself is a consequence for people, but Dhar Mann treats that possibility like 'uh oh, just a prank to teach you a lesson!' or just treat death like it means nothing! Which is irresponsible.
Now, I'm not saying Dhar Mann should kill his characters. I'm saying if he's gonna explore death being a possibility, explore it, don't just cower out.
But I will say that I am glad this video at least TRIES to not cower away.
That mom is SO inconsiderate, though. If I was a mom, I would make sure my kid was alive and well first, make sure they're okay, BEFORE I even THINK about screaming at them!

Don't get me wrong Dhar Mann s old videos weren't stellar by any means, but they at least had a clear message they were trying to make.
