Agreed! His playing is amazing! I just had a discussion earlier with a friend of mine from high school, because I was the only rocker chick back then that played guitar and I used to hang out with all the guys in the courtyard during lunch. we were talking about the difference between him and John Norum. John had a more of a grit and soulful tone to his guitar playing whereas Kee Marcello was just a pure God when it comes to speed.
Gary Moore once said something like, 90% of the sound comes from the fingers and not from expensvie guitars or amps and Kee Marcello (playing on this album) has one of the most beautiful tones I've ever heard.
This song sounds even better live when they do it.They have a huge collaboration of amazing songs in their massive archive. Tempest wrote most of them his voice is unique.Their modern stuff is raw and a win over TFC in my opinion
When you’re talking about this music from the 80s, even some of the early 90s. And some of the late 70s. The most important part of it all is the recording, production, and engineering. And mastering. That’s what makes the stuff so epic. It’s something that you’ll never hear again unless these bigger bands, spend the money and go back to recording using a Neve analog board. And all high-end outboard processing. That’s something that has been lost with all of this computer technology. And computer-based production programs.
Wow!! joeys voice was really high pitched back in the days . He is still a Great singer 60yo but to be honest this is not how he sounds anymore. Great live band ive seen them many times over the years, never been disapointed. ❤
The vibe in the 80s and 90s? Absolutely killer! I mean, seriously, EPIC! We're talking tons of reverb, delay - all that good stuff, but it was super natural and had this massive feel! Fast forward to the 2000s, and it's like there's less room to breathe in the tunes. Everything feels a bit dryer, and the reverbs just aren't hitting that EPIC level; they're more digital and kinda unnatural, you know? Thankful I came up in the 80s. The absolute best!
The guitarsolos on out of this world really is out of this world! Kee Marcello is so underrated. The albus is full of epic songs and solos. You should listen to it all. And I also recommend Prisoners in paradise, totaly underrated album.
Agree, Bravo! People dont understand and realize good rock music. They know Gaga, and hi hop bullshit. Is the shame they know Europe only for one song. STUPID MEDIAAAAA AND CENTURY!!
Gosto muito dessa música, essa versão e de quando eles estavam novos, esse que estou colocando é quando eles voltaram com os membros originais,e foi em 2004 em Londres.(ruclips.net/video/fprsfhLzUxQ/видео.html
Great reaction man!! Would love to see your reaction to a more recent epic EUROPE song from 2012: NO STONE UNTURNED! Theres no video, but the audio is on their official channel europethebandtv Give it a spin!
Idk if Tommy's choice is influenced by a little bit of national pride, as Europe are like him from Sweden. But for sure the impact that their music made on him during the eighties drove his decision. So I agree a hundred percent to what you said about the influence. You can hear that in the music of Tommy's covers, Sabaton, Ayreon, Avantasia and many more.
A very underrated album. Kee's solos are completely crazy!

This song is awesome, more Europe plz
"Rock the Night" is pretty well known too.. I personally really like "Seventh Sign" also. And "Stormwind". Among several others.
Seventh Sign is a very good song, too bad it is forgotten
Stormwind is my fave
I was at a Europe-koncert some years ago. And it was epic! Now I have the opportunity to go to another Europe-koncert this summer in Piteå, Sweden. 🙂🤘
Joey tempest once said this was his favorite song of europes.

I haven't heard this song before. Europe was before my time, so I only knew Final Countdown. Awesome channel! Subscribed!

Yes his voice was crystal clear and hard to mimic in his younger days however I think his rusky lower pitched voice suits the mature joey

Cute song! Perhaps not as epic and chill inducing like 'Final Countdown' but a feel-good tune to chill with.
Love that song and that album! 😙🎶❤🩹
