The only reason I, and many people, prefer vandal is that I am more used to vandal recoil than phantom. Even in my worst aim days I can one tap enemies with vandal but happen to spray like a bronze (I am immortal) with phantom.

lowkey i dont see the urge to classify yourself as a vandal or phantom user, ill use either one interchangeably from round to round depending on what i want, and which one ive been doing better on throughout the game, sometimes you got vandal days, sometimes you got phantom days

Yeah this is the first act ive defaulted to the phantom and never really knew why this actually makes so much sense
i used to be unable to play valorant for the longest time because my computer simply couldnt handle the game, i could load into matches but the second that we got to the map screen, my game would just freeze and the entire match would happen without me, valorant coming to console has been the biggest joy for me and ive loved playing in the beta and i love playing the game, being a bit new to it i tried out a lot of weapons, but i seemed to gravitate more toward the phantom for the longest time just due to the consistent spread and easy control, but i can still vouch for the vandal as it does one tap to the head and if you want a really heavy hitting consistent gun then its the gun for you, i honestly didnt know about the silent nerf and im glad to have heard about it.
Is your PC the equal to an actual Sega Genesis? My 2080 can handle Tarkov, any PC should be able to handle Valorant. My condolences
the amount of times I've been grateful to have picked a phantom and sprayed a neon in her ult is just 👍👍👍👍

Here’s every advantage of vandal vs phantom and where it matters:
Bullets: Phantom
First Shot Accuracy: Phantom (almost negligible)
Tapping: Vandal
Speed: Phantom
Damage: Vandal
Long Range: Vandal
Close Range: Phantom
Recoil distance: Phantom
Recoil reset speed: Vandal
Overall it’s 6:5 in phantoms favor, so basically IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YALL PICK. JUST USE IT SITUATIONALLY. This debate is the worst bruh.
If you’re taking close fights like planning on playing around smokes, buy phantom. If you’re planning on taking long duels play vandal. Especially on defense, when you get to pick and choose what angles you want to play. Just use the advantageous weapon, don’t restrict yourself to a weapon

Ok so according to you ISO is 2 shot in vandal but still its 3 shot in phantom. Whats the diff?
I agree with you. But I would still argue that the phantom could be better, I think you rarely get a double headshot with a vandal, with a phantom it happens more regularly. Also the ratio is different. Because yes… it is 1 bullet more in either scenario.
However in one scenario the vandal takes half the shots (1/2) meaning 50% less and in the other scenario it’s 2/3 which is only 33.3% less.
It’s insignificant but that would be the difference…
If you add the lower bullet spread,higher firing rate and over all higher accuracy the odds furthermore increase for the phantom. But tbh it doesn’t matter, play what you like :)

Using Guardian really helped me train my vandal. I act like my Vandal is a Guardian and always do burst and one tap like a Guardian
To save my fellow viewers some time: the vandal did not get nerfed.
It just depends on the angle you plan to take at the start of the round you want to peek/ hold a long angle? Use vandal, you want to peek/hold a short angle? Use phantom. For mid on ascent you use a vandal, where mid on split you use a phantom. On bind you use vandals in b long or A short and phantom in b short
The phantom is better for closer encounters, but the bullet drops start at like 15m or something like that.

Well… if you have good spray control with the vandal, iso’s sheild doesnt do anything. If your crosshair is on his head with good spray control, first two shots will go 1: breaking shield, 2: Dead with second shot.

I typically pick either vandal or phantom based on both the map that I’m playing and the agent I’m using. If I’m playing controller or cypher, and the map isn’t breeze, I will always use phantom because the ability to spam through smokes and cages is very powerful. Especially for cypher who has a ton of utility to give info on where people are. Sometimes I’ll pick up phantom as a duelist if I’m spamming a lot
The vandal ia good for long range fights and for better wallbanging. The phamtom is good for every other situation, so yeah, i default to phamtom, unless the map is brezze

Iso is only one out of 5 players though, can be damaged with util or just wait with engaging for 12 seconds after you hear him pop his shield. Vandal forces a playstyle that Valorant (CS) players need to learn. The Call of Duty players will pick the phantom but often not get used to mechanics that make the Vandal so good.
tldr: phantom for iso neon and abilities like deadlock ability
vandal if u want long range gunfights

This is why this game needs recoil patterns (and HDD optimization..., and including Unreals base graphical changes in settings like texture resolution that is originally in the config in the files... etc., there's a bunch of stuff tbh) if the Vandal and the Phantom had perfect accuracy standing still and recoil patterns, you could still use the Vandal if you're skilled enough.
tbh I’m conditioned to head tap with the vandal within three shots, so head dinking with the phantom and spray controlling after several shots is a huge insecurity atm. for the sake of strategy I might give it another try tho
Honestly, change Iso’s shield to have wall pen properties. Fixes the issue and makes the op less of a troll by against him.
personally i'm a phantom fan but the fact that vandal has no damage dropoff over distance is also helpful, cause even from across the map 4 body shots will kill
I’ve noticed the rise in Phantom users for WEEKS now, even a month I’d say. Many things would happen that my friends & I would question wtf was going on, and if the phantom got a secret buff. This would explain a lot,
The iso thing still doesn’t quite work to me. If you’ve got decent aim, iso is a 2 shot, with phantom he’s still a a 3 shot.
5:03 I spam through smokes too much, so I run out of ammo in my Phantom a lot.
Therefore, attacking- vandal and defending- phantom
I use vandal by default but in rounds when opposition neon has ult ready, i use phantom and urge my teammates to do the same.
Also, whiff/high ping = phantom but after 1-2 rounds i revert back cuz many a times i have missed 1 tap from phantom on an enemy from behind just cuz they were far away.
As a Viper/Controller player I pretty much default to the Phantom anyway but sometimes it IS nice to get those oneshot headshots
We really need more rifles in this game. Perhaps something like the Aug, M4A1 or hell something like the Galil.
heaven: use vandal if playing A or C use phantom in garage or B
ice box: use vandal mostly
ascent : B phantom A vandal mid vandal
lotus: vandal on c and phanom on mostly other sites ( use op its better )

Nah I don't really care if it's good or bad,even radiant play vandal continuously even now against iso and neon buffs and stay in radiant topfrag soo... it's just a preference choice at the end .I like the vandals hit feel.
So that's why I started to miss my bullets (I miss those shots before, nothing changed)
i noticed that vandal in some times cant shoot onetap sometimes it give 145 and some it give me 67 on the head

so TECHNICALLY the vandal wasnt nerfed just other things were buffed AGAINST the vandal so its just that much worse now but is still the same as before the patch
Since the recent update ive noticed multiple weapons behaving different including bullet spread, damage, accuracy. Think it has had a few stealth tweaks
My rule of thumb:
Defense: Phantom.
Attack: Vandal, but will play Phantom depending on how I'm feeling.
Also, jiggling is a lot easier on Vandal for me.
I just call the whole team to wait for 12 seconds when I heard his sheild and we're not in the middle if smth

I think its simpler than people are making it out to be, the phantom is objectively better, hands down, but you can win more gunfights “luckily” with the vandal though an accidental headshot, meaning you don’t have to be perfect, which most people arent in the heat of a firefight, and so this is why so many people feel more confident with it, is because in the arms of the less skilled, there are more situations that rng is on your side, regardless of the phantoms 1hs range

Dude I fought against so many iso before, just double tap burst him.....
I have my days some days I’m money with the vandal some with phantom I swap back in forth hell I had fun one day and got 20ks with the Ares. But real talk I won’t lie I’ve had my best luck with the Phantom just cause I tend to aim mid chest to neck and recoil trails up where vandal is kind I’ve zig zag in an upward motion causing more body shots

Short range Phantom
As phantom is clearly good in short range but sucks in long range

Generally, Phantom is more superior than vandal in every aspect. The only downside of phantom is that it cant one shot an enemy.

No max is 145 i test it som many times is not working but wanne you get in close is a onetaper but you need 2 know how long you can be :p so you wrong 🎉
