I’ve never played Marvel Champions and now seeing your upgrade makes me want to play it even more! That’s another beauty about upgrading. I’ve only upgraded two games… Wingspan - Broken Token’s wooden organizer because dang dang, that really needed it! And recently I got the metal coins for Caper:Europe which was absolutely worth it! I mean, you’re trying to be a mastermind and steal stuff, so the feel of “real” coins brings the theme up to a vibe!
HOMG that insert is so nice-love it! I think it's so worth the upgrade for wingspan! And 100% to metal coins-i'm a sucker for resource upgrades 😅 and definitely going to have to try Caper soon!
I upgraded the coins in Sheriff of Nottingham, because it's so much fun when you're negotiating with the Sheriff to clink the coins. I also painted all the minis in Inis. I don't paint normally, so it cost me about $100 for all the materials. I bought a full set of the Mario Kart minis from the Monopoly Gamer Mario Kart game to upgrade my copy of Downforce. That one really makes the game pop and draws people to my table!
These guys have done a fantastic job, such impressive quality and really helps with the experience of the game, especially the villain stand and hero boards, very highly recommended from me. I think marvel champions is the only board game I've upgraded apart from going for a couple of deluxe versions on kickstarter. Thanks for the video.
My man! The first upgrade you need to get for any card game should be Dragon Shield sleeves! It kills me to entertain the thought of you shuffling unsleeved cards. Everything else is second.
I upgrade if it’s a game that hits the table a lot and if the upgrades improve the tactile experience. Probably upgrade too much. Scythe for the resources and coins, Dune for the bigger play mat, TM for the big box(excessive) and recently Mezo. Mezo is the only one that I think really demanded an upgrade - the new pyramids and counters really improved the experience.
LOVE BuyTheSameToken! All their stuff is such high quality! They actually have a website which has a bigger range and better deals than the Etsy store sometimes!
I can definitely see the appeal of those upgrades! I haven't upgraded many games, unless you count pledging to a higher level on Kickstarter for a more "premium" version of certain games. I've been thinking about buying the GeekUp Bit Sets for Dice Throne, but haven't gotten them yet. Also, my vote is for Taskmaster for your next MC playthrough.
That's right!! I think if we count pledging higher on a KS...then I've definitely upgraded way way more than just two games 😂 ohhhh dice throne!! so excited for the marvel version to be delivered soon!
I have all expansions and the deluxe playmat for a Game of Thrones the board game second edition! Currently I’m looking into getting some expansions for Marvel Champions as well as some sort of insert :)
Awesome video Tim. To answer your question… my big 3 LCGs but I think you know that :D for me all my LCGs have 100+ plays so going big with upgrades for them have been well worth it.
hahahah! i'm trying to avoid other LCGs just because I already know I'm goign to love them and be tempted to upgrade those too! definitely worth it if it's a solo we keep coming back to!
Thanks Mark! I found it off of this shop on Etsy: www.etsy.com/listing/1163598773/embroidered-moon-knight-unisex?click_key=02238fe5cc59d9aabe476e4ce922b22333feb340%3A1163598773&click_sum=1dc20bdb&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=moon+knight+sweater&ref=sr_gallery-1-11&organic_search_click=1&frs=1&sts=1 I would recommend getting a size up though! Mine shrunk a bit after wash (I'm 5'10, 160 lbs and got a medium)
Nice, indeed, the price is also impessive. More than 250€ for the whole package.

Who should we face off against in the next Marvel Champions playthrough?! (Red Skull Expansion) Also, let me know what board games YOU'VE upgraded!

Great video bro! Wish I could afford this... 😢 would be the best thing ever for the best game ever 😊

Hahah! I do usually sleeve games but it becomes a hassle to film card games with the glare in sleeved cards 😂
@@TimChuon Okay, pimp. I'll let that one slide. But you only get that one! Lol

And the website is slightly cheaper too!
THANKS ANDY! I had no idea they even had a main website until now!

ohhh my goodness that's epic!! I'm definitely looking for a better storage solution as MC keeps expanding too 😅
You should defenitely make a video on that if you end up expanding your storage! 😁
I upgraded 3 Tony Epic games and Splender. Essentially mats But Tony Epic dungeons had several other add on as well in it's kickstater
Tiny not tony
Ohhh awesome!! I had no idea the tiny epic series had upgrades-very cool!

I upgraded Yokohama Duel. Someone posted that they'd found a deluxe version online and I went and bought it. Impulse buy!
ohhhh wow that's awesome! not gonna lie...those impulse buys are often winners! hahaha!
Yes Ant-Man and Wasp fold out to a giant card. Both are super fun to play.
I definitely want both + cap for the next hero purchases! ahhh that's so cool!
Love the moon knight shirt. Where did you get it?
