Unan was on the card, sometimes you just got to to that stuff for the crowd when the opponent is somewhere else.
People are slating Unanymous just because Soul had better bars. When you realise the circumstances, Unan wasn't expecting this and was obviously stacking up material for his clash with Tony D, whereas Soul's had his last two battles cancelled, so he's been sitting on bars for WEEKS. Unan, when prepped, is a fucking tank, so don't go saying this is shit and that he doesn't deserve the title shot.

2 of my favourites and 2 of the best writers in the league.. Shame UNAN lost his way but didn't effect the battle too much, at least he still tried to spit which is more than the likes of DOSE awhile back... SOUL is just another level, the bit at the end of his round was more like poetry/thoughtproking/meaningful material great writer. Look forward to seeing him as the DF Champ one day

Why would soul be sitting on Unan specific bars for weeks when they had battled already? Rematches are extremely rare, why would he plan for one? Soul is simply sick as fuck. Give credit where it's due.
Soul is too nice with it. This dude is a lyrical fucking genius. Best part is that he doesn't write gun bars. He obviously won but i feel like this wasn't his best. Watch his other battles, soul doesn't fuck around.

Good to see him against top tier on the main stage of DF finally. Maybe next time he'll actually be OFFERED a battle instead of jumping in last-minute to save one.
Props to both of them doing short-notice. Unan deserves no hate, this isn't the battle he was prepping for and we all know Soul writes constantly. Probably had half this verse left over from Get Slated...
I'm not a fan of unan usually but for the lack of prep he actually went hard.
It seemed mostly free'd and he actually brought schemes and bars straight off the top, very surprising.
In comparison, unan with a massive lack of pre-prep for this battle and actually came out with some good bars. while soul was obviously packing a bag full of bars prep'd to the teeth.
Mad props to unan, his improvement is massive, and it seems he fully took in what soul was saying and didn't bother doing his over the top schemes that go on for a whole round.
All up, sick battle. Soul being soul and unan showing improvement.

Just throwing in my 2 cents here but I don't think Soul is best UK Battler by a long way. I think he's one of the top WRITERS, but battling isn't just about writing, it's about performance. Delivery, rhythm, flow, how you hold yourself, how well you keep your composure, along with a whole bunch of other factors. Soul is one of my favourite writers in the UK battle scene and I always look forward to his battles for that exact reason, but I think he is some way off being the best battler. All that aside, I'd love to see Soul vs. Charron at some point.

I agree Soul would be better suited for the title, but I don't think anyone in the league works as hard as Unan. Anyone you name in the league, Unan has probably battled. His work rate is second to none so definitely deserves the title shot. Not taking anything away from soul, soul is a hard worker as well.
thing is aswell buddy, soul obviously lives in another country, miles away from most/all events and he was banned for time so naturally his work rate is gonna be lesser

Nan DOES deserve a title shot, but Soul does in the next 2 or 3 contenders. I'd say Dialect has done enough to deserve the next one, but Soul after that! In the mean time I'd like to see Dialect vs Oshea, a good mix of laughter and quality bars would be good!

While I agree that Unan got bodied in this battle, you have to remember that he's been focusing on writing bars for Tony D and the title shot. So lately that's been on his mind and he's been taking a more half assed approach at prepping for the other battles that he's had. But respect to Soul though the dude is a fucking class act, won this by miles obviously.
