Forget the ratworks stuff , not saying they ain't good , but unless there was something seriously wrong with the rifle , there's absolutely NO NEED for it to be messed with ... had mine from new , and was pretty accurate straight out the box ( this was when they firsts came out ) nevertheless , wern't match grade accuracy as all the vids made out , OFF WITH THE DAFT AIR STRIPPER , on with a quality moderator , it made ALL the difference , accuracy improved significantly AND it was much quieter ( if that was an issue ) ..thing ive found with the QYS brand is that it needs to be leaded in with QYS pellets , specifically with the ones your going to use , this ive found better if you do it from scratch , clean barrel prior to using them , the demo model MAY have had another brand used through it previously .. Set trigger to your preference , not only weight of pull , but cant' this also helps a lot ... I then ( after a few years ) saw an advert for a HUUB shroud for the goldstar , bought one , fitted , and I don't know if its some sort of placebo effect , but its improved accuracy that little extra step up , looks the part too .. plus I had a moderator spare for another acquisition .. also , if yer not doing HFT , remove the hamster , theres no need for it when bench resting the rifle .. indeed it gets in the way ... then ( and this might get up a few folks backs ) you'll have a rifle that will outshoot a Redwolf ( Ive got one ) and a wolverineR ( got one of them also ) not boasting ( ive struggled in the past financially ), just saying I can substantiate my finding with comparisons So Chris ... Clean barrel Set trigger Take off stripper Lead in with QYS from scratch Use single shot loader Them groups will tighten considerably .. so much so , you'll wanna take me out and buy my beer all night ..
I've got one I got second hand..still standard and shoots absolutely spot on with jsb exacts..used for hunting only so took hamster of..very accurate on bunny's out to 65yds even when tad breezy..
nice grouping there mate at 40 metres. i really need to give those heavies a go . ft boy down the range this morning was hitting 30 shot i inch groups sitting position this morning at 55 yards with those . i think myself for what that gun is and tuned that’s not a bad price at all for the package . make a great hft gun 👍
Hey mate, heard very good things about Rat Works - looks like they’ve worked their magic there too! 💪 I def prefer the more ‘informal’ / adhoc flow of your other reviews - far more personable. Still, I understand you have reviews to ‘get out’ for crackshots, and need to create content. Maybe a better quality of sound for the voice over would help? 🤷♂️ Anyway, I missed the usual ramblings! 😂 But applaud you for trying something new and it was enjoyable all the same. 👍 Go well! Rich Ps - I think using qys is all good and proper but most use JSB/AA , could you do x5 groups, or is time too tight?

So Chris ...
Clean barrel
Set trigger
Take off stripper
Lead in with QYS from scratch
Use single shot loader
Them groups will tighten considerably .. so much so , you'll wanna take me out and buy my beer all night ..
That's an interesting role and I like the new voice over style.
Beautiful rifle. I wish I lived near the Shop.
Excellent review. From the USA 🇺🇸👍
Nice review Chris plus you got your guitar playing skills in a win win

You always give good advice about the guns you review and as I have said before very honest.look forward to your next review 🔫🔫🔫👍
Some people call it pedantic, some people call it speaking properly. You do make me laugh 😂
And you still watch my videos.
@@southwestshooters Like I said, you make me laugh. Everyone likes a laugh
Nice gun. Well sorted.I’d be pleased with the first results at 40mtrs.
The reason I've gone to rat works is there lifetime warranty on all the bits they do which is pretty much all working parts
There we go blah blah blah CRACKSHOTS

Think I prefer you talking like a real person. I had a bsa scorpion that I had rat works tuned. They transformed it.
Why not compare it to a factory set rifle?
Another good video…. But pls lose the loud guitar solo music!!
Bsa gamo shit never would go down that road again bro very bad after sales aswell
