She's so beautiful, as a singer, as a guitarist, as a person. The classical guitar contraposes beautifully as well. Wish I knew more than 5% of what she was saying. Maybe I'll finally learn French.
I think they fit as much attitude into a 13 minute period as is humanly possible. I mean the guy playing his jeans... like that's an instrument... I enjoyed the performance still
this is the first i've heard of fishbach, performance of mortel was incredible. better than the album version in my opinion. anyone know what she says before playing? sounds like "êtes-vous jouer mortel?" but I couldn't catch it. seems like it would be want or ready to play, but my ear isn't good enough

watching these Kexp videos from France make me think that french musicians are just all hip. I wonder if this phenomena predated the american hipster movement and we just missed it...? And Marii JO...that's kind of bullshit to say it's not talent. It's one thing to call them hipsters, and another to say you didn't enjoy the music..but it was still good song writing, very emotive, and moving.
