    Haha, this video is perfect, thank you. I bought myself one of these brand new as a high school graduation present in 2002 to use for gaming when I went to college. Which I did, for many, MANY hours of Halo, Halo 2, 3, Gran Turismo 2/3/4, lots of GTA, several Zelda games on Gamecube, RE4, etc etc etc. I kept gaming on it until probably '08 or so then it became a bedroom TV for nightly shows, where it served that purpose faithfully but less and less frequently. Then, I realized that the last time I turned it on was 2018(?) for the winter olympics. Well, today, I fired it up again and hooked up my old SNES and am rocking Super Mario World all over again, even without the long-lost remote that disappeared during one of the many moves this TV endured. This thing is a tank. I can't even guess how many thousands of hours of run time it has. Still works perfectly and is worth more now than it was when I bought it. Amazing.

    Great tutorial! I have the Panasonic Omnivision PV-M1326 from 1995. Unfortunately it doesn't have the remote AND it doesn't have the "action" feature from pressing (any) 2 buttons. The user manual shows a menu just like this and how can be accessed with the remote, but not one word about doing so with the surface buttons. Do you know if there's any other way around this? Thanks!

    • @OrangeSodaKing
      @OrangeSodaKing  8 дней назад

      @maxwellclark2345 I don't know about that model, sorry. I would hope there is some other way to access menus... maybe hitting both channel change buttons, or other combinations of two buttons? But if nothing works, and there is no mention about changing inputs with the buttons on the TV itself, you may wanna ask a CRT enthusiast group on Facebook or Reddit to see if someone there knows more. You may need to track down the original remote or a universal remote on eBay. I had to do that with a Toshiba 13A21.

      @OrangeSodaKing  9 месяцев назад +1

      @@floppywater1219you're welcome! Glad you got it working, but just in case for the future:
      In addition to being plugged in and have AV cables connected, the N64 must have a game, jumper pak or expansion pak, and maybe even a controller all plugged in just for it to display any signal onto the TV.
      If you do all of that and it still doesn't work, take some isopropyl alcohol (I recommend 90% or higher) and q tips and clean the contacts of your game, pin connector, jumper/expansion pak, and pin connector for jumper/expansion pak.
      N64s are built like tanks and almost never have a serious issue with them. Same with game cartridges. Almost always, the issue is just needing some cleaning on pins/pin connectors
