    I am so thankful I found you!! You are warm, beautiful and so darn resourceful!! I have been watching you for months and spent hours and hours watching your videos and truly can not thank you enough. You do such an amazing job reviewing and showing the products. Unfortunately I didn't discover you until after my first purchase which was mid Sept RW Straight Up with a Twist & I have been wearing her almost every day and washing her almost weekly with baby shampoo . . . advice from another channel. I just purchased Violet and another Straight Up with a Twist because she is dying and I feel this video and your part 2 of this video is going to help me preserve them SOOO much longer. I immensely enjoy your videos and want to thank you again for this AMAZING content. XO

    My favorite new wig, Cafe Chic by Belletress, nearly wig died the first wear. Went to dinner with friends to a new restaurant, turned out it was just like Benihana's. Huge flames! My friends tried to help me hold cloth napkins in front of my head each giant fire storm. It was hilarious and terrifying. Downy saved the wig, fixed the sizzled spots.
    Hope your Mom recovers quickly. Loved the thinning shears tip. Thank you!

    Praying for you and your mom. I dip my clumpy wig fibers in boiling water with Downy in it and comb with a fine tooth comb. It completely smooths and softens the fibers, but after wearing again for a couple yours, they feel clumpy again. I re-dip after ever wearing until it's really dead.

    Thanks Taz, also good is a hot air brush with a ceramic or plastic barrel. It works similarly to steam when you dampen the fibers and run the brush thru them. Important not to use a metal barrel as they get too hot and can cause more damage. I hope your Mom is doing well.

    Also, there is Silicon Mix, a rather stinky product (like a super strong gardenia smell) but it does put that silicon coating back on a wig. I stick it into a zip lock bag over night, then when I rinse it out I soak the wig in a more pleasant scented conditioning bath which I don't rinse out. I have managed to rejuvinate several wigs in the second stage of death that way and make them feel new again.

    Can you give a ballpark idea of how many wears a wig usually has?

    • @TAZSWIGCLOSET
      @TAZSWIGCLOSET  5 лет назад +1

      Hello! There are so many variables such as the length, the fiber, how long you wear it each time, how you maintain it, etc.. I suggest 3-6 months for a shorter synthetic wig that is well maintained and is worn 5 days a week, approx 8 hrs each time.. just a guess. Longer wigs MUCH less than this. Hope this helps! XOXO

    How long can a wig ladt

    • @TAZSWIGCLOSET
      @TAZSWIGCLOSET  4 года назад

      That depends on many factors.. type of wig, length, how many hours a day it's worn, and how well its maintained. A good non heat friendly synthetic short wig/pixie can last 12+ months! Longer wigs and heat friendly wigs anywhere from 1 - 6 months depending on the factors above. XOXO
