Man, simple and good review, thank you keep up doing great job.
I really love that hand winding part.
Thank you :)!
Beautiful watch - really liking this "earth" PVD colour, with the green NATO. Really makes for a great weekend warrior or travel companion.
100%
Recently picked up the Hamilton Khaki Field mechanical watch with date function.. I picked the olive green dial as at times the dial looks black, other times grey, and other times olive green. One of best “value” watch out there. Hard to find a better watch at this price point!
Perfect size for your wrist ! Excellent video, you are making my decision very tough. Was always gonna get the grey one with the brown leather strap, but really like the looks of this one, plus I like the strap on your wrist better than the leather. Tough choice.
The green nato is the best strap I know. I love it :)! Get that version :)! I tried both.
Awesome video! You deserve more subs. I was looking to buy this watch but after this video I'll sure buy it
Undici Giga thank you so much :)
You bought one? Happy with it?
which color you got?
The H50 is an ETA 2801-2 with a free sprung balance. It winds smoother because it has a longer and thinner mainspring. The miyota is a cheaper movement sure but you seem confused about the ETA in the older version being a cheaper movement
I really love such olive green military color styled gadgets.
yes
You are a great reviewer man!!
Davide Dave thank you so much 😊
Recently bought the pvd black version.. love this earthy color
Great quality video, gorgeous watch!
thank you very much :)!
The intro made me wake up since it is my morning beater at 6:30 oclock
Greek Watch Collector 😂
I just bought one got the brown dial and the light brown loom with khaki strap !
I got one, beautiful watch and the manual winding feels excellent👍🏻
I’ve ordered one my first mechanical. Cool video 👍
Thank you :)! Which one?
TheDubaiExpat This one your profiling in this video. I got it yesterday great little watch 👍
@@DUDE-OO7 Nice :)! Yea I love it and think it is the best version :)
Impressive new version with PVD coating, how you got it? At the moment they still not sell it in Germany, even in the hamilton website.
Hey, thank you very much :)! I bought it in Dubai. You can find it at every Rivoli Store over here. I love the coating. Looks so much more military for me somehow. Regards Niko
I just got this watch. I’m wondering how many winds to get a full charge or how do I know when to stop winding? Thanks.
I just ordered one this morning. Can’t wait to get it.
nice :)! Congratulations :)
which color?
How is it so far
Brown dial brown case. It’s a fantastic watch. I’ve put it on a army green nato strap that really suits it.
@@tezzanewton It comes with that or? Congratulations. How much did you pay for it?
Its 80 ours power reserve, but i want wind my watch every morning as day rutine. Can you help me how can i do it witouth overwinding? How many times shoud i wind crown every morning
To be honest, I prefer the old version that I got with ETA movement instead of H50 new movement because of higher bph. Also the sound of winding is nearly identical between these 2 movements
Thanks for the info :). Would be nice to see both side by side
I agree but they are so hard to find for a decent price!
That's going to be a present to myself when I graduate EMT school
Yea you will love it :). A keeper for your life :)
@@TheDubaiExpat I couldn't resist, I had to buy it immediately! I'll just consider it a "Congratulations on starting EMT school" present to myself =P
Jason Lu haha very nice :). Which Color and band?
@@TheDubaiExpat Same as the one in the video: green and brown band and green dial and case
@@AznJsn82091 Great choice. You are happy with it?
My fav Khaki Field mechanical is the black PVD coated model
Great video! Is this watch still going strong?
great review! i'm planning to buy one but would like to know what material is used on the buckle and how's the PVD coating now, did it scratch easily or fade?
thanks!
Hey Ian,
I think the pin buckle is also stainless steel with the same coating. The PVD coating looks like brand new. I just used it yesterday (and this is no joke) and was amazed by how good the condition still is. After nearly a year it still looks like brand new. So I can fully recommend it.
@@TheDubaiExpat thanks sir!
I just ordered mine and hopefully arriving soon. It’s my very first mechanical watch and I am worried about over winding it. Is it easy to feel the tension telling us to stop?
Yes very easy :)
I have the same size wrist as you, and just bought the bronze version
Nice vid!!!
Thank you very much :)
When you are winding it, does it have some kind of a stop or any way to feel when it's fully wound? Very nice looking watch.
M M yes the resistance gets higher when it comes to the end. You will easily feel it :)
As with most modern watches now, there is a built-in clutch that ensures you avoid overwinding the mainspring. Simply stop after feeling resistance; if you're winding it from zero power, give it 40-50 turns, if you're wearing it everyday, then 20 turns every morning will be fine.
Thanks guys. :)
Hello, can we get an update on how this watch is doing? I just purchased this watch and seeing reports of mechanical failure of the mainspring assembly.
Hey Chris, unfortunately mine broke as well after around 2 years once it was out of warranty. Gave it away then.
@@TheDubaiExpat Hey thanks for the update. What a shame, it seems the new H-50 mainspring assembly is a bad design for durability. Would you recommend this watch after your experiences? Or return it and get something else?
Waiting for mine to arrive, thanks to your nice video :)
Good review. Interesting choice of music at the end 🤔.
Hi! Thank you for the review. Do you know if this is the same strap as the H69439931? Thanks!
Yes they come with the same strap :)! I have a video in which I show all versions :)!
TheDubaiExpat thank you so much, man! I have really small wrists too so I was worried but that green nato strap they come with looked fine on you! Hope you're enjoying it 😌
You can not compair it to eta movements becouse It's a eta movement that eta made for Hamilton. I love the watch have it since 2 months.
yes, I also love it. So easy going and casual.
Cool review. Can you tell me the lug to lug distance? Thank you!
47mm if I'm not mistaken, but I'm sure OP can confirm!
Very nice watch!
:)
Beautiful watch and great review. Thank you.
Thank you :)!
Just picked this up for €390. Hopefully it's not too big for my tiny wrists when it arrives 😬
Nice man! I think this watch is never too big :)!
Where did you get it?
you are happy with it?
@@TheDubaiExpat what size is your watch on this video? 38mm ?
Beautiful watch!
How is the accurate + - ?
Thanks a lot!
Hey it rund at around +5 seconds a day
wie viel % vom Listenpreis hast du bekommen? LG und frohe weihnachten
Good video
Does it matter if the watch comes with a plastic wrap around it?
No, don't think that matters.
Lug to lug? thanks you!
Did you get the stealth version? H69409930
In general this is a good watch, but the new movement is a downgrade in my opinion since it has only 21600 bph and harder to regulate.
For me it's an upgrade in power reserve (almost twice)! Who cares about bph?
@@irkenpost What's the point of a power reserve on a mechanical watch? Won't you be winding it every day anyways?
@@stepheng887 The point is when your'e tired or really busy and you forget to wind it or you just left them on the table for a few days wearing another timepiece, you can rely on them and be sure when you come back and put it on your wrist it still would be running. I think it is a good feature.
Bph on a tool watch really doesn’t matter, it’s supposed to preform reliably and run well not look pretty
@@shotgunmcshotgun1142 Yeah, high Bph is mostly common for a dress watches
I’ve got a 5.75 inch wrist. Will it fit?
Puh best if you try.
TheDubaiExpat so you think it WILL fit? Also, props for responding. Love it when people make quality content and answer questions!
👍👍👍
How many jewels? 25?
17 jewels
No such thing as a 'complication' in the watch world. The term is 'Date Window'.
What is your wrist size? Thanks!
6 inch :), so more on the smaller side
@@TheDubaiExpat Oh wow. I thought this might not fit with the long lugs but I think I'm wrong now. Thanks for the help!
Hayden Camp no Problem :)
I am vegaswatchguy on IG and Tal36 on Snupps...heard about you from Snupps
Ah cool :). I add you on insta :)
TheDubaiExpat who are you on IG
Digga man merkt direkt Deutscher xD
Now that's one ugly watch... I've never understood why these are so popular. Ridiculously long lugs, with crappy AR coating and horrible lume. Not to mention the most boring dial and an ugly dull finishing on the case. 🤢🤮
Ugly is subjective.. just not ur taste, but the simplicity of it and rugged look is what sells it.. and you dont own one probably so you didnt know how good it looks
@@sonson2815 Why would I have to own one to know how good it looks? I see it on my friend's wrist all the time and all I ever think is he paid HOW MUCH for that thing?? 😂C'mon dude, it's a field watch. It wasn't designed for beauty, it was designed simply for function. Now, with that crappy AR (or the lack of AR), it barely even does that.
U will never understood until u have one, i know u secretly like it in the back of ur mind it bogs u hehehe, clearly u are just exagerating but it is ur opnion so Ok..
@@sonson2815 Guess I'll never understand then because I will never own that overpriced, ugly pos.
Great video! Is this watch still going strong?
Will Darbyshire of course :). Love using it together with a casual outfit or on hikes.
