Thank you for filming and sharing all these movie. Been to Japan countless times. These is the only the few region left I haven’t had the chance to go. Look so lush and beautiful. I am afraid to click all your video because it make me want to go to all of them 😂 ❤
Very glad to see your comment and it encourage me to make better videos. Even for Japanese, there are numerous place to visit and I have ryokan list which I want to go for future, its 500 ryokans... Hope you can find next destination through my video and it helps!!!☺
What a stunning place ! Thank you so much for sharing. Just by looking at your presentation of this beautiful inn, I almost feel like I am there, enjoying this tranquil atmosphere, the delicious looking food, and bathing and relaxing in the wonderful baths. This looks like a really special ryokan and I really want to spend 2 nights there one day.
Many thanks. I believe this ryokan is one of the top ryokan in Shikoku island and cable car is real attraction and you can see great landscape on every trip of cable car to the valley. Although this ryokan is located in very local place, we could see some foreign tourists who stayed there. Recently, Iya Valley is getting popular worldwide and Its really beautiful. Honestly there are limited option of any other ryokan around there. but I can promise you that you can have great time there, I am happy if you can consider to be there for future!
@@Documentrip2 Thank you for your answer. We will be in Tohoku next March, but for our "over next" trip to Japan, I think it will be Shikoku (so maybe also including this beautiful ryokan). The only places we have visited so far there are Takamatsu and Naoshima. P.S. We are very lucky in Switzerland, to have 4-6 weeks paid holiday per year (5 in my case) and I can also take and afford some 3-5 unpaid extra weeks per year. Which gives me the opportunity to travel a lot. As Japan is so far away, I would never go there for less than 3 weeks (4 are better). That means, that I have such a long list of places I would like to visit in Japan 🙂and not enough time for them.
Wow, glad to see you will plan and consider visit to Shikoku. In Shikoku, there are famoust onsen place called Dogo Onsen and there are also many great ryokans there. I will post other video of Dogo onsen and hope if helps. Naoshima must be great place. That was my options before I go there, but only thing is no onsen. This is art place and hotel is desgined by Tadao Ando which is same architect designed for Setouchi Retreat which I posted previously. Currently I live in India, but its easier to take long holiday (3 weeks for 2 times in a year) becasue workign environment is bit tough. But once I am back to Japan, its really difficult to take it. Normally 1 week for summer and winter. I am asking my company to stay here longer to keep posting videos :-) Once you finalize the plan to visit Tohoku, please let me know!
@@Documentrip2 Only 2 weeks vacation in Japan per year :-(. I understand that you prefer to continue working in India. You are right, no onsen on Naoshima. But unlike you, I dont travel "only" for onsen. The Tohoku trip is booked, already about 6 months ago. In terms of ryokan with onsen, we will have 3 nights on Sado, 2 nights at ryukon in Niigata prefecture (you also visited there and I enjoyed the video), and 2 nights in Matsushima Bay. The other places, we will stay in normal hotels, but moth of them also have a bath.
Thanks for this video! The two public baths on the video are the men's baths, correct? The bath private bath available to rent and the women's bath are not shown, right?
Hi, thanks for your comment. There are 4 public baths at this ryokan, 2 at the valley and 2 in the building. The baths at the valley is changed daily and you can enjoy 2 baths on your stay(I showed 2 public baths in the video). Yes, there are private bath but additional cost is required.
What a beautiful presentation. 😊
Thanks a lot!!!
