Honestly you don’t realize how nice that code unlock is until you own a vehicle with it! Can’t count the amount of times I’ve stupidly locked my key in my 2009 MKX. Simply input the code and you’re in. Also very convenient to purposely lock your key in your car for the random situations where it’s smarter to do so.

Let’s be honest. The primary reason people buy trucks like this is for bragging rights and for show. This truck could be unusable as a truck and people would still buy it.
You can say that about most sportcars, supercars, etc. Most owners wont track them ever. Most will rarely even go over 110 Mph. The companies make these vehicles for people to actually use their capabilities, people just choose not to. Even with Wranglers, Broncos, and 4Runners, most owners will NEVER off road them. But they COULD if they wanted to
@@BossDogg14 every super car owner I’ve seen uses it for its intend purpose, and most jeeps go off road all the time, broncos, slow runners, and this will be parked at target bc a women drives it
I ordered my 2023 lariat tremor with a 7.3 Godzilla motor back in February last year got it in July. I absolutely love this truck. I didn’t hit the hundred thousand dollar mark though mine was less than that but it is an amazing truck we haul our 29 foot trailer with the beast. I love how the tremor comes with a 2 inch lift and 35 inch tires although I did have my dealership install 2 1/2 inch replacements springs in the front to level up the truck.
Honestly, and this comes from a guy who works in technology, this truck is the poster child for everything that is wrong with modern cars.Too much fluff, too much completely unnecessary garbage. A truck should be a truck and should have no features outside of basic things. Its really just pointless. And trucks are WAY too big and tall nowadays. Its absolutely ridiculous. Everyone has their thing, but this kind of vehicle is virtually everything I hate about modern cars and trucks.
Agreed! And I call all that fluff “made to break “ and it won’t be cheap to fix, all you need in a truck is AC and crank up windows, if you need cameras to drive a truck go drive a car!
I dont really care for tech in cars but from what I can see in this vid this one of the better examples of how to do tech in a vehicle plently of physical controls all basic functions can be done by pressing buttons and not getting distracted and in the end you don't have to option all this tech if you don't want it. Try anything from VW's ID range where even for the most basic functions you have to do a deep dive into a screen with the most nonsensical menus and submenus and full of very unintuitive touch sensite controls
Exactly you guys couldn't be more right a bunch of unnecessary features that will eventually break and cost a fortune to fix. Topped off by the dumbest feature of all on new Vehicles Auto start and stop.
I mean they still make those trucks too, and I buy them! XL 4x4 V8 gas regular cabs. Workhorses with taillights that do not cost $700 when my guy cracks one. I keep trucks working for decades, these are a joke.
I couldn't be happier with the recent purchase of my 2024 Lariat Tremor. Still has tons of options, including the power side steps which I love, and very comfortable seats, etc. I paid $70k- which is admittedly still too much to pay for a truck!! I just don't see the extra $30k for an inverter, bed scale, different color seats, and a few extra cameras!
My wife won't buy a Ford WITHOUT the tailgate step! She is 5 foot everything is too tall.she uses our camper a lot she absolutely needs the step. It is very useful!
Yes JR, one day you too will be 60 years old and hate to jump into the back end of a truck. It goes by faster than you think. So leave the step alone 😂
Drove the early tremor plat f350 this past weekend and im in love. Wish i could afford that monthly payment though. Had the solid steps, but had massage seats which i absolutely loved.
They will fail like they always do but most likely, the kinds of people who buy these types of trucks will have sent it down the road long before that happens. The kinds of people who buy $100,000 trucks are not the kinds of people who are willing to drive a 3, 4, 5 year old truck.
You just wash them, I crack the front doors and spend about 30 seconds cleaning the hinges at the car wash every time I wash my truck. They’ll last forever if you care for them. 💯 I had AMPs power steps back in like 2010 as soon as they came out, I’m sure they’re still working fine today. Power steps are an absolute must.
Ford has come a long way I have been driving them for the past 30 years as a service technician I have a 2020 van and I enjoy driving it reliability is great love it
I had invested 100K 15 years ago, now it’s worth more than 1M and am paying cash for this ridiculous but awesome truck to pull my 5th wheel in retirement. So, yes, if you invest today, you too can pay cash for a 2035 truck and feel good about it.
Much better than the scrapping vehicles vids you've been doing. I enjoy the repair and tech vids you've done and this info vid about my favorite truck is great. I wish I could afford a truck like that. I'll be staying with the lower option pickups most likely for the rest of my life. Can't afford a $100,000 pickup no matter what. I can't imagine how much the insurance plus finance payment costs.
lol. I’m 5’9” 190 lbs. work construction… the step isn’t gimmicky, it helps a lot getting into and out of the bed. Takes 3 seconds to deploy and 3 to close up.
I love my 23 F150 with that gauge cluster.. not quite all the towing options / scales.. but this would definitely be a dream truck. Couldn’t justify it though. You probably can! Get it!
that side bed step is just a year thing, its not exclusive to the Tremor. It was Ford responding to GM doing it on the HD Sierra and Silverado. Ram might even do it too soon. Nissan even had the running boards that ran longer from the factory to also account for it for the XD.
They limit them because of the tire rating. If you have higher speed rated tires I'm sure they raise the limiter. Or at least that's how they did it 25 years ago when all the high-speed rated tires started to come into the market.
Cool truck but there's one major problem, it's $100,000 for a Ford! Unless it's a limited edition Shelby or a Ford GT it has no business being six figures in my opinion...
I'd like to see you build one and try to charge less. If you took inventory of all the components, wiring, lighting, tech, safety components, load handling features and towing technology, you would probably wonder why they aren't charging more. Go to Louisville, KY, take a factory tour, after that, you'll have a different mindset.
Also, you don't HAVE to buy a Tremor and you don't HAVE to buy a Limited Tremor. If you don't want to spend $100k, you don't have to. Go buy an XLT, or a tradesman (Ram), or whatever package GM sells that's more of a value. Get an XLT with a gas engine and limites tech features and you could he as low as $65k. But don't get mad at the manufacturers for putting incredibly outfitted trucks out there and charging for the tech that's in them.
I love trucks but I am handicap and can’t step up. I will get an old 70’s ford I won’t step into the bed. 70’s is my grandfather favorite truck and I remember him and I going somewhere together. Great memories. He’s my hero.
Looks like the 23 250 is just bringing it up to date, my 21 f150 has all the same electronics. That's also the push button heated steering wheel button I mentioned last truck review video, all that stuff was available in the 21 f150 when you bought your f250
Had a 2015 F150 Platinum. when the aluminum first came out, incredible truck! over 100k Miles with no problems, i was a car fanatic kid with magazines stacked to the ceiling closet, along with being a Chevy family my entire life. and said i would NEVER own a Ford. well...lol....The new F150's are the best vehicle's I've ever driven, other favorites...Land Rovers, BMW 3 series, Tesla, Porsche 911. buy one you wont regret it. ;-)
I've been a "Ford Guy" for nearly 4 decades and while I absolutely love the F250 in this trim with the Tremor package - I just can't seem to find it in my heart (or budget) for $100k on a truck. In the past few years you couldn't count on someone else taking the arse kicking driving it off the lot then scooping up a deal 18-36 months later - those days may be coming back but for now (truck) prices are still holding.... If I had to buy a truck today - it would be between a Ford F250 and a RAM - the last 1/2 ton truck was going to be a RAM (in 2018) but the sales folks didn't "show up" when I went looking with money in my account to spend - so Ford it was.
Given all the quality issues Ford has been having for a while now, I can’t imagine why anyone would buy a Ford product right now🤷🏼♂️ Every brand has their issues but when the CEO says they need to work on their quality, that is on a another level.
i got a new F350 on the way great to see they fixed a lot of the little annoyances. those upfitter switches are for alot more then lights my dude its for anything you need to add like PTOs, emergency lighting, and more i have a whelen core system with the OBD interface i turn on the 360 work lights my emercancy lights light up too in white the mirror work lights turn on the allys and side white lights etc. love these trucks
I like my 2018 Ram 2500 Cummins. Its a nice mix of technology and analog technology. Touch screen that sets what you need. Central screen that can be set to show only what you needed to know. And i do agree with stereo systems. I just don't enjoy all of the full screens in dash. If it fails your about to have a bad day.
Ford must have hired a GM engineer because most of the complaints that JR has about his 2022 that got fixed on the 2023 were already done right on my 2019 Silverado
You’re right, I’m referring to my 1/2 ton. On my truck, I can slam the shifter down and it doesn’t go past D, (by the way, in a truck I love old school column shift rather than console shifter or buttons or especially dial) it has power up and down tailgate, heated steering wheel button on the steering wheel.
That isn’t a 23 tho it’s a 24! I have a 2024 f350 with the high output 6.7 it’s a beast! Had a 2019 before that horse power and pulling not even close to the same. I pulled a goose neck with a backhoe almost everyday. With my bed and tools the truck alone is 11,900 lbs. backhoe 16,000 lbs not sure on the trailer I’d say 8 to 9000 lbs. never stops pulling. Think it’s safe to say as of right now ford has the best pulling truck by far.
New trucks are useless. With your vehicular repair prowess, why not own an old truck that you keep on the road? Paying the prices for a new vehicle is ridiculous. My '93 7.3 f250 works just fine and I owe nothing.
I couldn’t agree more. Let’s be honest though, the primary reason that the people that buy these trucks buy these trucks is not for the use as a truck. It’s a show-off piece. A $45,000 F250 XL will do all the truck stuff that this truck will do but people buying these are buying them mainly to show off. The fact that some can use these overpriced trucks as write-offs is even more infuriating. My house cost less than this truck which just shows how ridiculous pricing has become on these.
@@brian5olol some people like nice trucks they can afford them. Their not show pieces their example of their hard work and the plus is that they can right them off
I think Ram probably has the most dependable trucks out there right now and they’re damned nice. My neighbor just purchased a 2023 Ram 1500 Limited. GM has transmission issues and Ford’s quality in general is a mess. I love Fords and would never buy one now. Ram is where it’s at. I’ve actually been trying to talk my uncle into buying one.
The owner of my place of employment has had his fully loaded 23 RAM back for ongoing problems numerous times since day one. He still loves the truck but gets annoyed with how much it has been at the dealer instead of in his garage as his daily driver.
Lmao funny you mentioned it because I’ve gotta remind the nephew once again that an F250 platinum 4x4 (not even an FX4) with street tires is NOT meant to be a serious Off Road vehicle as he’s sunk my brothers F250 in mud up to the axles yet again 🤦♂️ I guess he didn’t learn his lesson when he got it stuck for two days last year
I have a co-worker who took out a 401k loan to buy a very similar truck. The bank would not loan him the money because they said the payments were too high for his income! If we take out a loan against our 401k it has to be paid back within 5 years so he is paying back $20,000 per year plus interest and he is moonlighting after work and on weekends as a delivery person for his brother-in-law's furniture store so he has money to make ends meet He puts $20 to $25 a fuel in it every couple of days because he says he can't afford to fill it from empty!
And he's getting taxed on the repayments because they come from his net income, but goes back as pre-tax dollars. So he gets to pay taxes twice on the same money. Once on the repayment and again when he distributes in retirement. Congrats!
Ford should be promoting this video everywhere. This is better than their advertising! I’m not a Ford guy but I feel the need to go buy one of these…… Thx WatchJRGo
the formula for this video: step 1: ask a local dealership if you can test drive a vehicle and mention you have a youtube channel. step 2: make 47 minute review of car you do not own to satisfy a 3rd party sponsor who doesn't care what the actual content is about or if you even demonstrate the product. step 3: edit video. step 4: release video.
All the dealerships in town know Hoovie and I lol. This review was way over an hour and cut down, the ad could’ve been dropped into any video I wanted. But yes that is the concept of every RUclips video ever made 🤷🏻♂️
To any OBD tuners out there - please develope an override for these digital gauges of bar graphs and replace them with standard orange needle on a white dial background! It would be so much easier to see the speedo and tach!!!
I miss how cars were made in the 1960's (even though I didn't physically experience)- you get to pick every single option. You didn't have to buy packages to get features. If you want 220, you check the box.
Regarding the column shifter - can you put it into drive and using an open palm, push forward and upward on the shifter to move it into neutral without having it go into reverse? On past Fords, trucks or sedans, F250 or F150, conlumn or console shifters, you could not do that! For the column shifter, you actually had to pull the lever UP and put it into Neutral! The reason why this is important is in case the throttle gets stuck, you can just palm it and push the shifter from D into N without fear of going into R. This can be done on all Ram, GMC, Chevy, vehicles as well as BMW, Mercedes, Audi VW, Toyota, Lexus Honda and Acura vehicles. Why ford has this lockout is unknown as this is a DESIGN FLAW! Other manufacturers do not have this safety issue with their auto transmissions! Curious what you find on your new truck?
I hate sunroofs or drop tops I don’t need the sun on me while driving I’ve never driven my sc430 with the top down I do run it a couple times a month so I know it’s working but I like that it’s a hard top no rag and no to sunroofs Slictop always looks better and less areas to fail
I love my 08 Ranger 2.3L w/5 speed manual! I also love my two "oil burning" Hyundai GDIs. This truck cost more than all my vehicles combined x3! It is a very nice and capable truck though!
Ive bought a few new cars in my life but only had one sakes person explain all of the operations of the vehicle. They even asked for our cell phones and linked them to the car.
I have tried to order a limited with tremor and no dice on that. So I did this build plat with tremor. I may just bump up to a 350 as it is less than 1k more or so.
It’s crazy the small price difference to go from the 150 to 250 to 350. I’d test drive the F-350 just to make sure the more robust suspension isn’t too abusive to your body but if you are okay with the ride, I say go for it! I hope you enjoy your new truck!
JR you should save Hoovie from himself. Buy his $8k Maserati (from his most recent vid) and scrap it for parts before he talks himself into "saving" it and ends up spending $15k putting an engine and who knows what else into it.
I do work on these new high end trucks. They still hit deer lol Im going to completely redo my 2003 F-150 extended cab stepside FX4 purple truck. Its like a coupe compared to trucks today
I must be old. back in the day with new vehicles it was all about the engine, horsepower and performance. Now its all about the technology in the vehicle.
WOW! The ability to touch a button on the door handle and it locks and you can touch the inside of the handle to unlock! Just INCREDIBLE Ford is incorporating technology that is AT LEAST 10 years old because I have that SAME feature on my 2014 Audi A6. Sorry, Ford... it's really hard to be impressed by technology that old.
I have an 08 Audi S5 that has touch lock/ unlock handles, why he’s making it out to be amazing is odd, this kind of tech is available in almost every new car as well, it’s not Genius Ford thinking..in fact most of the tech in the truck is available on much cheaper cars.
@@WatchJRGo no need to get angry, adding a label doesn’t make it a great feature, people aren’t that thick that they can’t work out how to get in and out of a vehicle and need a label to show them, it’s not ‘knocking it out of the park’ stuff by Ford..this is a truck with modern vehicle features, that they want 100k for, nuts.
When you reference the '22 for comparison, is it only the F-250 you are talking about? My '22 F-150 Tremor has all of the outstanding updates that you are talking about.

I am left handed and would argue about controls being on the right side but you are 100% right cause that’s where I would put it for the stereo.
There isn’t a stock pickup truck on Earth that’s worth that kind of money.
Oh man, I love my tailgate step. I use it as much as I can.
Looks like the 23 250 is just bringing it up to date, my 21 f150 has all the same electronics. That's also the push button heated steering wheel button I mentioned last truck review video, all that stuff was available in the 21 f150 when you bought your f250
the tailgate step is super useful for loading dirtbikes in the truckbed
Given all the quality issues Ford has been having for a while now, I can’t imagine why anyone would buy a Ford product right now🤷🏼♂️
Every brand has their issues but when the CEO says they need to work on their quality, that is on a another level.
i got a new F350 on the way great to see they fixed a lot of the little annoyances. those upfitter switches are for alot more then lights my dude its for anything you need to add like PTOs, emergency lighting, and more i have a whelen core system with the OBD interface i turn on the 360 work lights my emercancy lights light up too in white the mirror work lights turn on the allys and side white lights etc. love these trucks
GM didn’t update the 3/4 ton interior until 22 if I remember right. The 1/2 tons always get the cool stuff first.
Yeah but JR is a tech junkie.
tax right off.
Their not show pieces their example of their hard work and the plus is that they can right them off
I have a 06 f350 with a 6.0 that I owe nothing, and is now 100% reliable (wink wink)
Be honest, how much work or repair has been done to your new truck?
My 2019 Ram 3500 with 150K miles has had ZERO repairs needed.
I haven’t had to do one thing to the new one, it’s had 2 oil changes and that’s it 💯
@@brian5o my bros dodge ram pickup is in the shop right now getting the exhaust manifold bolts done...i think its a 2016 or 17
I’ve watched a lot of your videos. I don’t think that I’ve ever seen you this happy.
You work so hard, you deserve this truck to celebrate all the channel’s successes
Lmao funny you mentioned it because I’ve gotta remind the nephew once again that an F250 platinum 4x4 (not even an FX4) with street tires is NOT meant to be a serious Off Road vehicle as he’s sunk my brothers F250 in mud up to the axles yet again 🤦♂️ I guess he didn’t learn his lesson when he got it stuck for two days last year
28:48, those aren't vents... those are pass through holes for the USB cable to plug your phone in and keep it vertical!
I'm not a Ford guy, but the Tremor looks amazing with the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires. I think the Tremor competes with the Chevy Trail Boss.
I do love the interior color on the seats!👍👍
$100k for a Ford? No way.
Well they are the top truck
I have a co-worker who took out a 401k loan to buy a very similar truck.
The bank would not loan him the money because they said the payments were too high for his income!
If we take out a loan against our 401k it has to be paid back within 5 years so he is paying back $20,000 per year plus interest and he is moonlighting after work and on weekends as a delivery person for his brother-in-law's furniture store so he has money to make ends meet
He puts $20 to $25 a fuel in it every couple of days because he says he can't afford to fill it from empty!
And he's getting taxed on the repayments because they come from his net income, but goes back as pre-tax dollars. So he gets to pay taxes twice on the same money. Once on the repayment and again when he distributes in retirement. Congrats!
Imagine the insurance cost on a 100K truck.
Remember ford would not stand by the transmission clutches in the focus
Ford should be promoting this video everywhere. This is better than their advertising! I’m not a Ford guy but I feel the need to go buy one of these…… Thx WatchJRGo
the formula for this video:
step 1: ask a local dealership if you can test drive a vehicle and mention you have a youtube channel. step 2: make 47 minute review of car you do not own to satisfy a 3rd party sponsor who doesn't care what the actual content is about or if you even demonstrate the product. step 3: edit video. step 4: release video.
All the dealerships in town know Hoovie and I lol. This review was way over an hour and cut down, the ad could’ve been dropped into any video I wanted. But yes that is the concept of every RUclips video ever made 🤷🏻♂️
Can you give us an update on the volt?
Yup, it’s broken, coming soon 🥲
I just looked at a Tremor today, huge wheels, Power Stroke, Lariat 92k. Tremor pk was 4k. 35" wheel I think.
Must have been a 24? This one is listed at 23 (with 4k miles on it) 🍻
@@WatchJRGo I believe it was a 2024. I've never seen you so excited about anything.... It is a sweet truck, so is yours.
I hate sunroofs or drop tops I don’t need the sun on me while driving I’ve never driven my sc430 with the top down I do run it a couple times a month so I know it’s working but I like that it’s a hard top no rag and no to sunroofs Slictop always looks better and less areas to fail
hoovie said you were gutting your place and moving out what is happening never saw that episode
Tyler meant JR is scrapping cars meaning taking them apart.
Yeah, he was talking about me scrapping the Maserati lol
Shout out to the 2022 3-month wait Ford bed liner gang 💪😎 😂😂😂
I love my 08 Ranger 2.3L w/5 speed manual! I also love my two "oil burning" Hyundai GDIs. This truck cost more than all my vehicles combined x3! It is a very nice and capable truck though!
I’m 52 I understand everything about my platinum tremor and don’t need to wait 5 years to trade in on the next one I like
The step is great especially running on 38s. I would fire any of my guys that used the tailgate measuring tape for other than fish
How much does the dealer pay to make videos? Might not be a bad side hustle.
Nothing lol… I wanted this truck, they let me take what I want 🍻
I really want to test drive a tremor as I tow a 27foot airstream. I have see some reviews of the 350 tremor and say it rides like a half ton truck.
Same, they won’t let you have both 😡😡😡
I’ll be 50 soon, but I feel 70 many days. Not sure if I’d use that step, but I like those steps in the Chevy Bumpers.
JR you should save Hoovie from himself. Buy his $8k Maserati (from his most recent vid) and scrap it for parts before he talks himself into "saving" it and ends up spending $15k putting an engine and who knows what else into it.
I think $8k might be more than the parts are worth, the engine is the most valuable part of that car 😬
@@WatchJRGo Well I guess that would be in line with his historical purchasing patterns....😌
This was a fantastic epsiode 47 min long!!!!!!!!!!
JR, you have to get this truck. It's for the health of your back. You have to do it!!!! Go for it.
I am so glad I don't need a truck. How much was the optional gas station?
I do work on these new high end trucks. They still hit deer lol
Im going to completely redo my 2003 F-150 extended cab stepside FX4 purple truck. Its like a coupe compared to trucks today
That step is one of the best parts, sir.
I must be old. back in the day with new vehicles it was all about the engine, horsepower and performance. Now its all about the technology in the vehicle.
Finally a video longer that 12 min 🎉🎉🎉🎉😊. Much love ❤️
Fords actually had the “buttons to unlock/lock” since 1980! With the convenient little number pad no key needed!
I’m talking about adding labels and making it ergonomic… all of my trucks have keyless go back to like 2015 🍻
I have an 08 Audi S5 that has touch lock/ unlock handles, why he’s making it out to be amazing is odd, this kind of tech is available in almost every new car as well, it’s not Genius Ford thinking..in fact most of the tech in the truck is available on much cheaper cars.
@@raypayne2228 I’M TALKING ABOUT THEM ADDING THE LOCK ICON 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 all my cars have handle touch keyless go, everything has for 20 years 🤷🏻♂️
@@WatchJRGo no need to get angry, adding a label doesn’t make it a great feature, people aren’t that thick that they can’t work out how to get in and out of a vehicle and need a label to show them, it’s not ‘knocking it out of the park’ stuff by Ford..this is a truck with modern vehicle features, that they want 100k for, nuts.
Tax implications be damned, you NEED a 23 / 24 😂😂
Yes I do 💯
Did he just look into that mirror on the sun visor and say "That's beautiful"?
The LEDs are beautiful, how the mirror is lit is very important 💯
Yet they still have the key less keypad that i love that were on Lincolns in the late 80's 💯
I loved that feature on my Mark VIIs
It’s nice, but for me AC, heat and a seat are all the luxury I need. For electronics, the 15pro suffices.
john rose u make me lol when u talk about fords
When you reference the '22 for comparison, is it only the F-250 you are talking about? My '22 F-150 Tremor has all of the outstanding updates that you are talking about.
I like the smaller wheels on the Tremor better, the bigger sidewall suits it.
No. Nope, I work too hard to drive a spa. Staying with my Used $15k Taco. 4 years standard maintenance and a set of shocks.
Love the Tremor’s exterior and interior colors!
How is the tailgate step a gimmick?
I use mine everyday at work and is one of the reasons why I wanted to upgrade from my 07 f150
These new trucks are something you would not buy when used because of all the tech on them . Think of the cost to repair all this stuff! But great truck new.
Well John Ross, I suppose that Ford now have to give you this truck for free since your review for this truck was outstanding. I really hope they do 🙂
Give us old farts credit; I'm 68 and enjoy all those options. The adaptive-cruise and lane-assist-steering make 12-hour days so much less tiresome. It's a total game changer for racking up highway miles.
JR, you could sell refrigerators to Eskimos.
Weren't the Canadian Pontiacs built on Chevrolet chassis? Note US Pontiacs introduced hidden windshield wipers. The Canadian Pontiacs have exposed wipers. The history missed several items.
2023 platinums didn’t get the multi contour seat, which just doesn’t work for me lol
Lets take bets on how soon the transmission gets replaced....in my fleet i have had 4 F350 transmission replacement under 50k miles....
Ford really flexed with this one 💪
2020 platinum tremor was perfect. And they deleted the mute button on my 23
The only thing it’s missing is a Floor shifter. I wish superdutys had a floor shifter option 😳
I wonder how truckers from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s got away without cameras.
Problem number 1. $ 100,000+.
Problem number 2. No truck should cost $100,000 ever!!!
Problem number 3: it does not have an eletronic butt hole wiper!!
I have a 2021 platinum super duty. I’ve never accidentally put mine into manual
Love it! Keep up the good content.
