I was about to place an order for this for my uncle seiko president bracelet. Realized later that US tappers down from 20mm to 16mm. So I cant use it. But was curious to know about the quality. very helpful. Thanks
That’s good to know. I can chalk the loose pin up to bad luck. It’s so odd that none not one of my bracelets have a compatible end with that clasp. Being small wristed is no fun as it is. 😂
That’s my Seiko 7009-5210. It was a disaster when I got. I posted a recent video on its restoration. Finding parts like the minute track ring, crystal and gasket were really tough.
Ah. I must have accidentally edited that out. Hmm. Maybe I can work it into the title. Sorry about that, but I really appreciate it. I paid about $13 USD.
San Martin sells an on the fly that’s 18mm and one of the ends is meant to fit oyster style bracelets. It’s also large but OK for a diver (like in my situation) and also about twice the price even in the sales. Might work for you as well.
Very fair review. The bad qc is scary if you put the clasp on an expensive watch. Thank you sir for your service!
I’ve been fortunate to not have any damage from a faulty bracelet or strap issue, but I’ve had a couple of close calls with quick release spring bars.
Will the clasp fit on the outside of the bracelet? It may leave the female end link hollow but nobody will see it.

I have a few of these and haven't had any issues with fitting them to any of my pieces or with the quality.

I have 4 of these and had no problems either!
What reference Seiko 5 was that on your wrist?

I’d like to get my hands on one to see. Thanks!
I got it and the quality is quite poor: it has very sharp edges that makes it uncomfortable and unsatisfying to put on a nice bracelet.
Ooph. I’m told there are nicer versions and maybe I’ll check those in the future.
Sand it with sandpaper. Not too rough, go slow
